i recently bought a new iphone 4s factory unlocked. in order to avoid sim failures and invalid sim errors or No service errors, Each phone has to be unlocked by connecting it to the Itunes.
Kindly follow the below steps to avoid any SIM card conflicts
iPhone FULL Unlock - How it Works:
-Connect your iphone to itunes without any network sim inside and when connected click on the iphones name.
- Click Restore install latest version of iTunes on your Pc or Mac or click check for updates
- Let itunes Backup your phone and then Flash to the Latest Version.
- Now disconnect phone and reconnect after 10 seconds.
- Now Enter another network simcard that's not the same network its locked on to
- Connect phone to iTunes with not accepted (not valid) simcard
- Wait until iTunes detects the phone

Hi! I've been thinking of buying an iphone 5s/5c (haven't decided yet) from Apple in the US and bring it home to Israel.
I took a look at the prices and saw the huge difference between the Carriers-iphones and the Unlocked ones.
I would really like to know weather I have to get the Unlocked iphone if I would like to use it in Israel, or is it possible to purchase one

Unlock iPhone so I'm able to use with another carrier

The GM of our company has an older iPhone that was originally used on the Rogers network. Due to service coverage issues, he had to switch to Bell. He now wants to give this phone to his son for personal use on the Bell network. I need to unlock the phone first, yes? I called Rogers and asked them to do this but they would not unlock the device and advised I call Apple.
How can I unlock the phone so it can be used on another wireless network? I DO NOT want to jailbreak the phone...just unlock it.

I am currently living abroad in Istanbul, Turkey, but I am an American citizen. My American iPhone 5 has had hardware issues (I have gone through all of the troubleshooting issues many times with many people and we have all decided it truly is a hardware problem) and I have discovered these issues cannot be resolved at the Apple store in Turkey because of some sort of Legal/government issue. The camera stopped working, I asked to have it fixed (at the normal cost), and they told me they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. I have been very disappointed with Apple in Turkey and the fact that there is really no help for me here. So, now I am very wary of buying an iPhone 6 in this country, in case I move back home. The question is - if I buy an iPhone 6 in Turkey, move back to the states and have a problem with the phone, will Apple be able to fix or handle any issues I have?

It is hard to believe that Apple won't fix their product that is faulty. I would love to have it fixed by a company I trust instead of having to gamble with getting repairs in a foreign country where I don't speak the language. With most other companies they will honor their product and if there is a problem they can help reach a solution, regardless of where you are. The phone I currently have is actually a replacement iPhone from Apple for the exact same issue. It doesn't leave you feeling satisfied when you buy something, it breaks on its own, you get a replacement, it breaks again on its own, and then company tells you it can't do anything.
I think disappointed is the correct feeling.

I bought an iphone 4 in august of this year, i had to have another one sent to me because it was freezing up on me. The new phone i recieved is doing the same thing and I have a hard time getting the phone to charge. I didn't pay all that money for a phone to not work like it is suppose to. There are secretly four different types of unlocked iPhones (Apple, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint) based on where you bought it from, depends on how it will work. Only when purchased directly from Apple will you be able to use SIM cards from the United States if you want to use a small regional carrier. Also if you got an unlocked from Radioshack or Best Buy or something, the version counts as the carrier it comes with, not Apple, so a Verizon unlocked from Best Buy is a Verizon-type unlocked iPhone.
