Or did you mean this was an album you bought from iTunes, in which case it really isn't a "CD" (which is a hard, plastic, shiny disc) and I'm at risk of getting confused. If it is a corrupt file that you downloaded, delete the file and try downloading it again.

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.

Yet another example of why it's a VERY BAD IDEA to do a clean install of Lion unless you are already VERY familiar with how to tweak the Mac OS. There's a reason Apple engineers removed it as an option. To accomplish it you have to erase your disk; not for the faint hearted.
Do you have a backup? PLEASE don't tell us you did this without a robust backup.
You erased the operating machine, so your computer went to the only place it could find one, the Recovery partition. And it's minimal, so it has to download everything in small chunks to reinstall itself. So yeah, it could take 10 hours.
Here's another option. Do you still have the original disks that came with your machine? Put one in and restart from it. You can reinstall your old system much faster. Then go to the Mac App Store and your purchase history and see if you can redownload Lion (I think that still works).
And this time just do yourself a favor and install per Apple's instructions. When the machine starts into Lion, use Setup ***'t (the first thing that fires up) to migrate from your backup.

I fyou can take your iPhone to an Apple store within 30 days (maybe less) of purchasing it, and provide tehm with proof of purchase, and let them evaluate that it is not damaged, you should be able to purchase an AppleCare+ program for it (assuming that your iPhone qualifies for AppleCare+).
I purchased my iPhone 5 at an AT&T store and then took it to an Apple store about 3 weeks later to purchase my AppleCare+ for it. Luckily I haven't needed it yet, but so far, it is still only 49 weeks old... -

I have the iphone 3g and recently my screen got cracked. Is it possible to just buy another iphone from a Apple store and put my sim card into the new phone?
I'm not too sure if they allow you to just buy the phone without the whole contract thingie.You cannot simply buy another iPhone 3G and put the original SIM card into it - the SIM card is 'married' to the IMEI of the iPhone when it's activated, so the old one won't work in the new phone. However, you can buy another iPhone 3G - but, you (or your friend) will need to pay the unsubsidized price, which is $399/$499 for the 8/16 GB iPhone 3G.
Alternatively, the iPhone Out-of-Warranty Service cost is $199/$299. Out-of-Warranty Service applies to iPhones that are damaged, but not catastrophically damaged (i.e. if your screen is cracked, that's fine, but if your phone is in pieces or it it's been submerged in liquid, that's not repairable and you'll need to pay the unsubsidized cost of a new phone as above). If your concern is about being without a phone, for $29 you can use the Advance Replacement Service, where Apple sends you a replacement iPhone and then you send the damaged iPhone back. Has anyone tried syncing their photos to iTunes with the cable in addition to how it should work via wi-fi on iCloud? On the Apple support info page, it says you should do both types oof backup. The Genius Bar told me 2x not to do both. What experiences has the community had? I'm also having syncing issues with photos most recently as well as contact updates. It sounds like you are mixing up several different things (or not using the terminology that Apple uses).
One thing is backup. You can backup via icloud or via iTunes and there is no reason you cannot do both -- I do and the second link below from Apple gives instructions. Doing a backup will include photos from the Camera Roll in the backup but you will not be able to see the results -- all of the backup data will be stored on iCloud or on your computer in files that are not designed to be accessed by you for any purpose other than restoring to your phone in the event of a problem. If you simply want to transfer photos from an iPhone to a computer, the terminology Apple uses for that is "import" and it is done without iTunes. New photos (taken after you change the setting) can be done via PhotoStream which is a cloud based option. The other option is via cable. Instructions for both: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083

It's very likely that the phone is permanently damaged - water corrodes the very fine copper strips which form the circuitry very quickly - but only a service engineer can tell you what its condition is and whether it can be restored to health. If possible take it to an Apple Store (make an appointment) for a free assessment. Don't be surprised if you are told you will have to replace it.
