I want to buy ipod touch 4 (8GB) , but i dont know is that enough for me

I want to buy ipod touch 4, my friends said i should buy 8GB one, but i dont know is 8GB enough for me to use. some people said that it only have 6.7GB for you to use, cause the ipod apps already used some of it. I want to have maybe 100 songs, some apps, pics, few games, 5-7 books, few online movies. For some of these, i would probably delete them and download new ones. So, any suggestion?? Please? I really want to buy it before this summer. but i dont want waste my money.

I would opt for the 32 GB one. Many users have been disappointed when they purchased the 8 GB since they quickly filled it.

Go to Settings>Notifications and turn alerts/sounds on for the app(s) in question. Not all apps have all options.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only wipe your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

Larger screen for video playback
Safari Web Browser and WiFi for web access at any WiFi hotspot/home.
Flash memory is faster
Beautiful interface
Add, edit and remove Calendar and Contacts
Add, Edit and Email Notes buy they don't sync to Mac/PC
Add 3rd party apps (from Feb 08 - cost???)
Flash Memory is much less prone to damage.
Email access in WiFi hotspots, offline composing and read of email
Google Maps and Directions (one prepared set of directions isavailable offline)
Weather and Stocks widgets
Disadvantages
No disk mode
Reduced battery life
No offline Games (until Feb anyhow)
No To Do function
Unable to view Podcast notes.
Much smaller storage
In the end it depends on your needs. Go to the shop and try the touch. If you don't get the "wow" then perhaps go for the classic this time.

hi am looking to buy the i pod touch and was told that u can download from the tv on to it is this correct? how would i go about doing this? so i can transfer things i have recorded off the telly , please help am a complete novice as this will b the 1st i pod i have ever owned

Not heard of any direct tv to Touch download facility but who knows, in the future.
As of now you download everything through iTunes on your PC with the Touch connected. In addition to what iTunes offers you can import stuff from your pc eg. music, video, etc. Obviously, you'd need to get it from your tv to your PC first! Video has to be in a compatible mpeg-4 or H.264 format.
If it's not it can be converted using applications you can get off the web,
some are free, others you pay for. There's also a convert option in iTunes.
I don't pretend that this is all simple but, if you get stuck, there are many postings on here that will offer more help and advice but you'll need to look for them!

my computer got all messed up so now i am using a different user on the computer to use it. iTunes isn't letting me sync my ipod touch 4g. It keeps on saying "This ipod is synced with another iTunes library. An iPOd can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time." I don't think i want to try the erase and sync method because i think it will delete everything. Is there anyway that i can sync my ipod into this iTunes and not have everything deleted?

You will have to put it in recovery mode on a computer with itunes.

thanks for letting me know. But now Apple store have an offer for Black Friday so is much more cheaper than buying in Singapore.
Now the price for 32G - $268(US)-(convert to S$353) Apple store is Singapore sell S$428 have sum different....

Should i buy ipod touch 5g now or wait? I read in here, many people said this model has many problems, frozen screens, titles songs are not line up in order, imessage can't send, etc.. what do you think?
I can afford for the 32g, the first one i had was nano and i dont' want to waste and upset if it's not good as it should be. Or i should wait until September when the new one come out?

There is no fifth-generation iPod touch at this time. The current units are still the forth-generation hardware.
As to seeing issues here, that's what these forums are for, people with problems. Those millions who are having no problems have little incentive to post here, so you get a skewed viewpoint as to how prevalent any problems really are. It's rather like judging the overall health of a community only by visiting the local hospital. The reality is that you're most likely going to have no problems at all, though no one can guarantee that, of course.
Anyway, it's up to you whether you wish to wait. None of us here know when Apple will release a new model of the iPod touch, nor even if they will, so your guess is as good as ours how long you might have to wait.
