Before installation you should back up all your data.
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:

I have sent an email in icloud mail with too large an attachment. As a result in Account info under quota limits, "[icloud] is calculating sizes" and has been doing so for several hours. Nothing, including restarting my iMac can stop the little circle revolving against icloud in my iMac inbox. Accordingly i am not receiving emails into this inbox but emails seem to be reaching my iphone icloud inbox.

If you want seperate accounts for managing apps and purchasing content, basically yes, you need two account and would need to repurchase. However, if you just want seperate ID for iMessgae, icloud and such, you can do that and still continue sharing the same Id for apps and itunes.

I purchased the monthly plan for Creative Cloud but I don't need it, I want to use Adobe Acrobat to store my books. What can I do to get more space on my Adobe Acrobat account?

Very bad customer service - I have found that my underaged daughter has apparently ordered extra storage and never used it in her iPad. iPad iCloud settings does not have a downgrading option - BUT LUCKILY we also have an iPhone in the same account. iPhone iCloud settings has the possibility to switch to free 5Gb setting. Really Apple - a rip off way to treat the customer. Shame on you. The only other way apparently is to order a call when it suits Apple (not you). Because of the difficulty I will inform the consumer authorities in my country for this behaviour of the great product but ill service company called Apple.

iBooks supports ePub and most PDF’s as far as reading items outside of the iBooks Store and would need to export them as a pdf to sync them across. Also as an alternative Microsoft does make Word for iPad to read the documents. If you want to write and edit them, then there is a subscription that can allows that for you. Pages for iOS also has a new feature to where you can have word documents and keep them as view only option for when sharing out the document.

That would require inline formatting and I doubt that is an option.
If I am following you, the header area is full width of the screen so I cannot see how it can be broader, Perhaps you mean deeper? A screenshot might help here. The change would be made in the layout.css file.
That would be a change in the layout.css.
I suspect that too is controlled by the layout.css.
To make the changes you would have to go into the layout.css and modify that. As you will see, it is a very complex CSS and that is why I said creating you own layout is not easy. Hopefully when Willam is available again, he may be able to give you some more specific information.
I think Willam will confirm that if you cannot read the existing CSS to make those changes, then creating your own skin would be beyond your capabilities. Please do not take any offence there, I am simply emphasising how complex a task it is to create a skin from scratch. It's not one I would take on.

what you have to do is copy all of your albums and songs into the itunes folder on your new computers hard drive and then start itunes and give it a few minutes and the items will show up in itunes

NOthing you can do. Sometimes this happens - technical glitches on your system or attempts at tampering. It can't be fixed. You have to buy the software or try tomrun the trial on another machine.

My iPod has music and apps from my apple ID that I downloaded to my iPod via iCloud and some apps that I got free from the store, straight onto my iPod, but my laptop has some music on it aswell, separate from my other library.
