I want to change apple ID to new gmail addr. But it wont let me swap my current ID address with new one because the new one is default one and in use so it's not accepted. Imget themessage already in use so how do I simply swap positions of 2 email adr?

How tonswap new email address for old one in apple ID. When I try to make my new gmail address my apple ID it won't accept it because it's already in use as my rescue email. I'd like my other email to be rescue email and gmail to be apple ID but their edit account area won't take the address simce it's already in use. I just want to swap them!

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I have read the directions for how to set up an IPad but there is a problem. I have 2 Ipads, one for work, and I set them up differently with different Apple IDs and passwords. Now I find out you can't buy extras for Apps you've already bought if you're using different IDs. YOu have to buy the App again for the 2nd Ipad.
How do I change the ID and password on my 2nd IPad to the one I use on my first IPad? I know how to change one or the other, but don't know how to change both at the same time.

Log out of iTunes on your second iPad and log in with the Apple id you use on the first iPad. The only minor issue will be that any purchases you made with the second Apple id will be locked to that id, and you will have to use that password to update apps.

I am wanting to have my own apple id and not share it, so I was wondering if there would be a way for them to make an apple id and keep the purchases they've made on my apple id.

Have you tried logging out an back into that account on your phone (tap on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store), and/or tried getting the password reset for it : http://iforgot.apple.com (if you do get the password reset then you might need to logout and back into it) ?
If you create a new account then that will work for new purchases, but all of your existing downloads will remain tied to your old account, so only your old account will be able to redownload those purchases and/or download updates to its apps.

Yes, you can change it without "resetting" your phone. To change the ID:
For iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At in iOS 5), tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the other ID.
For FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
For Purchasing, do this in Settings>iTunes & App Stores (Settings>Store in iOS 5).
For iCloud, you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice]. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.

Want to change ALL photos in finished project from 'Tint' to 'Color Tint'

Is there an easier way to change all photos that have a 'tint' effect to another effect without having to manually go into each image?
I have a nearly finished 90 min doc that has a plethera of stills that I have added a 'Tint' from Image Control effect. However I have found that in many of my dissolves there seems to be some green frames thrown in the mix, (ONLY within the dissolve?) Anyhow, I found a work-around:
By changing the original tint effect from dropdown----Effects; Video Filters; Image Control; Tint
to
Effects; Video Filters; Quicktime; Color Tint.
For whatever reason, this corrects my random 'green frame' action.
So does anyone know if there is some kind of batch edit that I can do, that recognizes all the images w/ Tint and change it to Color Tint in felt swoop?
If not in FCP 5.1.2, maybe in 6?

hi,
boring but you can add the effect to the first still. Then apple -C it. Then select all the clips you want to change (apple-click will select no contigous clips) then select Remove Attributes from the edit menu. Select the Filters checkbox. Then select Paste Attributes from the edit menu. Select filters again and you're done.

I am afraid that they are also getting the same apps that I download on my iphone.
So, I want to change apple Id on my iphone but I do not want to lose all the apps and data associated with my current id. I want all these apps to remain on my iphone . How can I do this?

If you change your Apple ID the apps you currently have can stay, but you will not be able to update them in the future. Appls are permanently tied to the ID underwhich they were downloaded.
Simply make a new Apple ID, and then go down the apps in Settings and each one that uses an Apple ID has to have the ID changed. Go to the Stores, App and iTumes, and click Apple ID > Sign Out of the stoes. Then delete the current ID and put in the new one, and then Sign In to the stores with that ID.

Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

Is your phone still covered by warranty? If so, go to your nearest Apple store and depending on what happened, this may or may not be covered by warranty. If it is, then you can get a replacement exactly as the phone you already have.
If out of warranty, then there is nothing you can do and you'll have to pay.
