I was wondering if you ever figured this out. I have the same issue. When I try to use the support communities, there are so many with the same problems and never seem to be any replys?? Not very helpful and I can not get Apple to return my emails.

There is something on your iPhone (a music file, iBook, document or video) that belongs to another Apple ID. Only your wife would know how that file arrived there. Your iPhone is asking for the correct Apple ID for all of the files that are resident on the iPhone.

I have spent days and hours trying to find a definite answer on what I can do with my situation. I have been able to figure out that I cannot change my apple id because my apple id is my icloud e-mail address. But does that leave me no option? Does that mean that I will have to create a new apple id and subsequently I will also get a new icloud e-mail address? If so, then how will I retain all of my purchases? Is it possible to delete my icloud account and then change my apple id?
I would really appreciate anyone that can give me a clear answer on this. Thanks!!

If you want to want to change your Apple ID and your iCloud email address, you'll need to create a new Apple ID using the name you want, then create a new iCloud account with it and migrate your data to the new account. After creating your new Apple ID, save any photo stream photos on your iOS device that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the new account. You will then have to recreate your notes in the new account from the emails you sent earlier. When you turn on Mail in Settings>iCloud you will choose your new @icloud.com email address.
Once this is done on the first device, if you have other devices, you can just save any photo strema photos, delete the existing account, then choose Delete from My iDevice (since the data is already in the new account) and sign back in with the new ID to download the data.
You'll then have to decide if you want to keep using the old ID for iTunes or not. Personally, I wouldn't recommend changing it to a new ID for several reasons. First, all of your current purchased media is tied to the current ID and cannot be moved to your new ID. This means that you will end up with different things purchased with different IDs over time, which can make things complicated. Secondly, if you have already enabled automatic downloads, or have downloaded previous purchased using your old ID, you cannot change it to your new ID for 90 days from the time you first did this. Once this waiting period expires you can then change to the new ID and access previous purchases with your new ID, but you would not be able to access previous purchased from the old ID again for another 90 days. (This is what I mean by it being complicated to have multiple Apple IDs for iTunes purchases.)

I am sharing my apple ID with my parents, not sure if it has anything to do with me not receieving text messages or vise versa. Now if I were to change my parents apple ids , how can they get access to their contacts? and will they be able to keep their texts?

Here's what you do. One of you needs to create a new Apple ID, if you don't already have a separate Apple ID. Go to id.apple.com to do so.
Then, go to Settings > iCloud. Delete the Account. When prompted, choose to 'Keep on this iPhone'. This will keep the iCloud Contacts on the device. Then sign into iCloud, using the new Apple ID. Choose to 'Merge' when prompted. The only thing you'll lose off of the iPhone is synced Photostream photos & documents. You'll keep the Contacts, Calendars, etc.
Do the same thing under Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, Settings > FaceTime, Settings > iTunes & App Store and Settings > GameCenter.
You can keep the same ID under iTunes & App Store if you'd like. That simply means you're sharing the purchase history for Apps & iTunes purchases.

I changed my Apple ID but my iCloud ID is causing trouble

I changed my Apple ID and everything was working.
Now I went back to my phone one day and it asked me for my iCloud password for a backup, but the email is still the old one.
If I check iCloud in settings there's the old email.
Entering the password doesn't work because the Apple ID is gone and it'll always say it's wrong but in order to remove the iCloud ID the password must be entered, because Find My iPhone is on.
How do I get it to change without losing data? A new iCloud account is absolutely not an option.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. I want to change my Whatsapp picture but most pictures turn out either upside down or sidewards; I even have auto rotation but it works on certain pictures only, what do I do?

I turned auto rotation on and I want to change my profile picture on Whatsapp. On certain pictures they turn out correct, however on most of them, they turn out sidewards or even upside down. I want to calibrate my phone but it doesn't say anything in settings about calibrating it, what do I do?

When they turn sidewards what I do is going to Photos, then Edit the specific photo I want as my Whatsapp profile and turn it 4 times. It will stay the same in Photos but when I go to Whatsapp and choose it, it doesn't turn sidewards this time.

After I changed my Apple ID email to the email I actually use (I made my apple ID years ago, before I had my main email), it tells me my password is wrong, asks me to enter it, and doesn't let me change my email. I tried entering my password to see if that would let me in, but it doesn't. Any suggestions? Anyone run into this?

I tried that now. I was forced to "delete" everything on the cloud, and now I tried signing in exactly as you described, about 45 mins ago, and I'm still waiting for it to actually sign in.

When I tried to log in with the new email addy, I got a message that this emaill addy had not been set up as an account yet. So I cancelled that message, went into my account witht the old email addy, and proceded to follow the necessary steps to change my ID.
I then received a message that the new email addy was already attached to an account. ??????????????? I tried the new email again, but it still wants me to set up new account (ie reenter all my information). THe email address you want to use may be set as the recovery email for another account. That would prevent you from using it, until you remove it from that account.

I have an app that doesn't have a full screen option. In windowed mode, is there a way I can block out my desktop and the other apps when using it? I only want to see the app and want everything else to be black. Aspect ratio = perfect square.

With the iPod connected to the computer go to the Music pane for the iPod in iTunes and check the box that says sync only checked songs. The check the songs you want synced and click on Sync. For more info see:

I am logged in as a 'guest' on a computer that is used by others. I would like to totally hide my browsing history by 'resetting safari' but wonder if this will cause problems for the other users....Or does the resetting just apply to the guest?

anything, including resetting, that you do as guest should not affect other users who log into their own accounts. Just logging out of guest should remove the obvious history/cookies etc although of course it's possible for an admin of that computer to keep track of some info.

That is not the problem. I do not have a new apple id. I just changed the name of it because my email adres will expire. On the apple site <see your link> is explained how. This works fine on the site, i can log on and off with the new email adres.
But....all the apps on my i pad still contain the old apple id. And....it is not possibel to log on with this account becaue is has been changed :-)
So is seems that the only way a can use apps on my present and future ipad is tot use the same appe id forever...witch is not possible because companies change and so do e-mail-adresses.

To change it, you have delete the existing account. However you can avoid losing any pictures in the process. To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. (Camera roll photos are not effected by deleting the account.)
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
