I want to chnage my network provider

I have recently been given and I-phone from a relivitve for christmas but it will only accept O2 sim cards . Unfortunatly my sim card is Tesco therefore all of my credit is still on my old phone . I dont really want to upload credit to the O2 sim when I sill have a decent amount of money on my Tesco Sim card.
Is there any chance I could change my Iphone for An O2 Network provider to a Tesco Network Provider?

You will have to get the previous owner to request O2 to unlock the iPhone for you to use with Tesco.
O2 will unlock iPhones for existing users where the iPhone is ACTIVE on their UK network
Alternatively buy an O2 PAYG ,use it and become a customer and then get it unlocked (£15 for PAYG users free for contract customers )
.then revert back to your tesco sim

in israel the cellullar company buy the gsm a1429 but i do resherch and the cellullar band of gsm a1429 and the cdma a1429 are rhe same (in the cdma even more then the gsm a1429)
another problem is in israel it will cost 1250 dollar(5000 shekel) i heard that is have some place in ny that sold the gsm a1429 radioshack and hhgregg so what to do

Amysim/Optus support can not help.
I can not check or change any network settings (no APN settings)
I have synced phone using latest itunes (10.5.3).
Phone software is up to date (5.0.1).
Network settings have been reset.
SIM card has been taken out and put back in.
Phone has been switched off/on again.
Another sim card from virgin works ok (hotspot option is visible and can be turned on/off as required)
The Amaysim/Optus SIM card can be put into another phone (android) and tethering/hotspot works fine.
Can anyone provide solution to this nightmare?

I am having the same issue although i have an iphone 5. I have contacted Live connected numerous times an tried everything imaginable to solve the issue. Is it possibly a handset issue? I cant recieve any help from optus as im with live connected, they cant help me and apple keep telling me to contact your carrier ( live connected). Seems to make me want to switch providers pretty shortly..
please let me know if you can solve your issue and maybe it can help me too..

WP8 Selecting Prefered Network Provider when Roami...

I have a Lumia 820 and I'm about to travel to another country....
Would there be an option to select a prefered network provider when roaming?
I'm unable to find an this option under "network+" or "mobile network" in settings..
The reason for asking is that my current (home) network provider offers reduced roaming & data cost packages if I select specific network providers when abroad. My old "brick" phone allowed this option,or maybe the option will appear when I start roaming.

When you arrive at your destination, goto Settings>mobile network>Network selection. The phone will start scanning for available networks. It will then list all available networks and all you have to do is to select the one you want. Don't forget to set it back to auto when you leave.

Everything Rick has said is like an echo to what is happening to me.
I have tried re-installing iTunes, and restarting the Bonjour service, sadly there is no change.
earlier before i updated iTunes it recognised my iPod but said that I had to update iTunes in order for it to work.
So i updated iTunes but now it's not even showing the device anywhere.

Only the carrier an iPhone was sold as carrier locked with can officially unlock the iPhone. It is my understanding that Softbank in Japan does not unlock iPhones.

O2 does have an EDGE network but I believe its not big yet. They are supposed to be expanding it rapidly.
If you are seeing an E on the device then you are already subscribed to EDGE. I'm picking it up on my non-iPhone device here in the UK on O2.

I've been losing some apps also in the Dock. As Niel said I think is that you may be able to just drag them back to the Dock, if you can find them.
What I do is open Launchpad and while you're in there, drag the application to the Dock. If you can't locate the apps, then disregard this post.

Do you know what is going on here--what this problem could be? (I do have the latest Firefox version already installed. I have previously received Firefox error messages that say "Firefox Update Failed." However, I already had the latest Firefox version installed when I received those error messages.)

Apparently this occurs when Firefox has problems with security certificates. There have been a few questions about this. I will try to get advice about this.
Apparently you are using Internet Explorer 9 (From your system details). Do you have Google Updater plugin installed on Firefox ?

Please provide a little more detail, such as what you are trying to do when this occurs and exactly what the message says.

Whenevenr I call a person sometimes the phone gives me an option of callback and end when I press the callback button the whole screen goes blank and only the upper Taskbar where it shows network provider , time and battery percentage is shown

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red (-) to delete all apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.
