I want to communicate with a hearing impaired partner who wears bluetooth enabled hearing aids.
Ideally, I would use an bluetooth mic via an iPhone that would work directly with her hearing aids. This would be done primarily in home and work environments.
Can I do this with an iPhone? If so, how?

Install 'find my iphone' to locate. There are security/parental settings on the phone that you can change, but I am not sure about limiting times that text/calls can be made. Call your cell phone carrier - they may have more options for that...

I have my iTunes library on an external HD because it is too big for my iMAC 500GB HD. However, it is not backed up, so I need a solution to backup my external HD. in order for your Mac to write to NTFS drives, it needs some help by installing e.g. the NTFS 3G driver. apparently that or something similar is installed on your Mac already. preferably, it would be formatted for Mac but then windows machines would need to have e.g. MacDrive installed to recognize the drive. -
Hi, Unfortunately my Laptop has died (which had my iTunes on it). I want to ensure my music on my iPhone 5 and my iPad Air are backed up. Also, I want to sort my music in the way I used to with iTunes. How can I do this with just these two devices, i.e. NO Computer? Can the iCloud help? Why can't I download iTunes (i.e. my library as I saw it on the computer) to these devices? Thanks to anyone who can help me here.

I'd recommend changing moms email to yours to get a good backup on the Mac

I cannot answer regarding compatibility, but there is no download available for PSE6 if you would need one for this. You might be able to copy the installation files from a disk to some other removable media that the machine accepts. Upgrading to PSE7 would not be possible mainly because Adobe does not sell older versions of their software.

Netscape use to let me choose and create new profiles. after clicking on the icon for netscape i was prompted for which user profile i wanted. can i do this with firefox? also, each user profile was linked with its respective email account. can i do this through firefox as well? Firefox doesn't have the same type of interface for the Profile Manager that Netscape did. You might want to look at SeaMonkey ''(which uses the same Mozilla Gecko code as Firefox has)''.

I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro with Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion installed, but my CD drive inside my computer is damaged*, and it's far cheaper to buy an external CD drive than to repair it entirely. Before I do either, I would like some grasp of whether or not it's worth my time and money, as I've yet to order the external drive or make a genius bar appointment.
Also, the reason I'm choosing Windows 8 (Beta) is because it's free.
*I dropped my computer once two years ago. I haven't even used my CD drive until recently when trying to install Windows 8. I assume the drop was the issue. I've used compressed air to remove dirt/dust as well as resetting the PRAM multiple times and nothing seems to work, but I'm not worried about it.

1: Apple only supports Windows 7 at this time in BootCamp (direct install into a bootable partition) because Win 8 is in Beta and no Mac hardware drivers are available yet from Apple for Windows 8.
2: You can't install Windows from a external cd drive into BootCamp, it has to be a internal one far as I know, perhaps a USB will work I don't know.

1: You can download and install Windows 8 Beta into a the free virtual machine software called VirtualBox, which Windows 8 will run in a window in OS X. This is better as it's still in Beta and Windows Beta releases will expire. Plus Windows 8 is a pain in the behind and you will want to be able to have VirtualBox or OS X be able to regain control over the computer.

I have a Yamaha FC7 foot pedal and am trying to use it as a whammy bar type controller. Can I do this with anything in Mainstage? I also have Line 6 Pod farm 2 - anything in there?
The foot pedal also seems to have an on/off switch that activates when it's depressed all the way. How do I set that up in Mainstage? Can I cycle between and effect and a volume pedal, for example?
Mainstage version is 2.1.3

I can use a print server with PS However color management does not come through when using a print server and LR. Image prints, but color horrendous.

I'm not really understanding what you want. You mention all 3 types of connections: wireless, 3G and bluetooth, but I'm not clear on what you want to do. What the router is supposed to do, and why do you think it would need to connect via bluetooth?
I'm thinking you want to buy a Mifi type device that will allow you to connect to a cellular network and then connect the iPad to that device via the Wifi network the Mifi produces.

How do I keep my downloaded content on my iPhone 4 when connectng to iTunes? It says erase and sync. I want to keep what I have downloaded, and manually manage contend on iTunes. Can I do this without it saying erase and sync?
No backup? Never a good idea to not maintain a backup of your important data. If you do not have a backup, follow these instructions:
By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you formatted your computer, your phone, will see your computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes(under the edit menu).
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in whatever supported applications you use for contact & calendar syncing. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, itunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
That's as good as it gets without a backup of your itunes library and other important data.. -
