I want to connect two microphones trough an AudioLink III hardware in Adobe Connect

Hi everybody,
I´m trying to connect an AudioLink III hardware in a Mac OS to use two microphones in the same meeting in Adobe Connect. But, I don´t know why, just it´s working one channel, not both. In another hand, using another sound hardware it works, but it didm´t work with the AudioLink III sound hardware.  Any idea?
I have to say that in system preferences in the Mountain Lion Mac OS, the two channels from the AudioLink III is working property. The problem comes in my Adobe Connect meeting.
I hope anybody can help us.
Sorry for my grammar. Greetings from Spain.

Hi Sameer,
Yeah, I select the correct Audio input device, in this case, USB Audio. The program recognize the hardware, but just one of the two channels, that´s the problem. I tried under Windows SO too, but with the same results. I suppose that´s a problem with this hardware.
Thanks for your answer and your time.

  • Connecting two microphones to USB ports?

In october my internet radio station will be doing a live broadcast for a local event. We would like to be able to do interviews with people but want to have 2 microphones connected to the laptop so people won't have to lean over the computer to be heard.
Is there a way to do this with USB? if so, how? If not, how can we achieve this?

This -possibly- could be done with two USB mics, it would take creating and "Aggregate" audio device, see these links for an explanation and tutorial on creating the "aggregate" audio device.
    http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1215
However... USB mics can be problematic, trust me on that. It could work, but there's no guarantee.
If it was me, I'd purchase a small mixer, and just use the 1/8" line-in jack on the Macbook. A small mixer could easily mix two microphones allowing independent volume control plus a mixer has treble/bass EQ so the mics could be adjusted to have the same tonal balance. The other plus is a mixer will allow the use of better mics as it will have both high and low impedance inputs.
This is the type of mixer I'm talking about.

Not necessarily the place to buy or the type of mixer... just an example.

  • Is there a way to connect two analog mics recording in stereo to the iPad for recording?

I currently use an M-Audio Mobile Pre to connect two microphones to my MacBook Pro via USB. If I wanted to use my iPad (or even iPhone) instead, is there a way to get the stereo input into the iPad? Would the Line 6 Sonic Port sold via Apple work? Would it take 2 separate inputs and deliver stereo to Garage Band or another recording app? Or is there another way?

Exactly that -- the procedure is described in the online Help: InDesign Help | Text variables
Now every time you insert the variable named "# of potatoes", you'll see the text "50" appear (with a minimal rectangular marker to indicate it's a variable), and when you want another number of potatoes, all you have to do is adjust the text in the Variables dialog.

  • Connect two routers-wireless

Hello, I am looking around the forums and can't find and i'd like to know next:
I have two routers Linksys (wrv200 and wrt110). One on one side of the house, the other will be at the other side od the house. Questions:
    - Is it possible to wirelessly connect second to frist
    - Second willl broadcast the same SSID (wireless and other settings) as the first and will have the function of covering the signal on the other side of the house and outside, where the first virtually could not
    - Which one of these two routerja recommend as the first (connect to a modem)
    - What is all need to set athe first and second routerj
    Thanks for help.

You cannot connect two Linksys Routers Wirelessly, you have to have them connected with cables...see this

  • Viewing video recording that I have downloaded off of Adobe Connect 8

    Good Day
I have an Adobe Connect recording (of a training that took place), that I want to make available off line. I can view the recording via Adobe's Media player but the learners do not have the media player.
I then went to Adobe's Website to download the latest version. On the home page (middle right), one can see a section "Download", I clicked the "More" button (to the right of "Download"), but nothing.
I eventually found info on Adobe's Media Player, BUT it is not good i.e. it says that they do not support it anymore.
That is a bummer.... where to from here? How do I get my learners to view an FLV file?
Then to make matters worse I opened the video clip in Adobe Premeir only to find out that it does not import the audio. I then imported it into Adobe Media Encoder (to convert it to a wmv). No luck. It seems to leave the audio out all the time.
Anybody out there able to answer these two questions?
    Dimitri

You can easily go to Adobe Connect Central and access the recordings page for the room that was used to make the recording. You can then select make offline. Once you select that Adobe Connect Host Add-in will launch and will require that the entire meeting be played. While it is playing it is making a local copy on your local hard drive as a single FLV file. That FLV file can be played using Adobe Media Player that comes with the Adobe Creative Suite. You can also play FLV files with many free players by using Google to search for free FLV players. Your choose on that. The other option is to use file converters from FLV to any other format you desire. There are free video file converters and some for pay. Your choice on that one. Again...Google search for video converters. I convert from FLV to MOV or AVI or M4V all the time. Then you can send out the video file in any format that matches your customer/student player.

  • High quality mic on external usb-soundcard dosen't work with Adobe Connect. Why?

    Hello
A friend of mine bought a quite good microphone and a good extrernal soundcard for recording podcasts. Everything works fine. But know she wants to use the microphone for Adobe Connect, because of the very good sound quality. Adobe Connect finds it an you can select it, but now singal comes into Adobe Connect. But it works with every other Adobe application. So why doesn't it work with Adobe Connect?
The soundcard is the Tascam US-122 Mk2. Normaly very uncomplicated ..
    Thanks for any advice!

I connect my bus-powered HDs (more than one) to the iMac all the time without any problems. I have found, though, that for me the FireWire enclosures work much better (faster and more stable) than the USB2 ones. I have had the USB2 drives freeze my computer once or twice when I connected the HD, but nothing like that has ever happened with the FireWire connections. (I switched the same disk from USB to a FireWire enclosure, so all other elements were kept constant in my experiments.)
One of my HD is in a MacAlly 2.5" enclosure that offers both FireWire and USB2. The other one is in some generic enclosure with only USB2. Both are bus-powered and both work fine.

  • Where can I download old version of adobe connect mobile app?

We are using old version of Adobe connect Pro (version <7.5)

If you are producing software how do you detect the Firefox version and show whether or not it is compatible ? You may be interested in http://hacks.mozilla.org/2012/01/firefox-goes-2-digit-time-to-check-your-ua-sniffing-scripts/
If you are, or your clients are in a corporate environment there is a possibility that Firefox ESR will be in use.
    * https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise#How_to_Participate_and_Post
    * http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/
My understanding is that ESR has been brought out primarily to deal with this sort of problem ensuring software may be certified in an enterprise, and does not change as often (so it will remain as Firefox 10 with point releases for a while).

  • Big picture/beginners question - Adobe Connect

(I must admit that I have very little experience with video conferencing.)
What I'm looking for is an off-the-shelf relatively low-cost videoconferencing package I can integrate into our own package.
We want to be able to open a copy of our own product, call up one or more other computers, record the whole thing, and save the recording to a relatively common format.  We want our own interface to control the entire process, not a third party control or popup.  The whole process must be controlled by the computer that starts up our application.
Actually I should also mention that this capability will most likely be needed in a web app, at least at first.  It is possible we may want to do this with Windows apps later.  All of our future application development will most likely be in Dot Net 4.0.
Can this be done with Adobe Connect?

Do I understand this correctly?.  Adobe Connect itself is a server and the Adobe Connect Host Add-in is the 'chat window', a stand-alone web app?
If so, is it at least possible for another web app to call up a window with the Add-in and log it in, rather than doing it manually?

  • Adobe connect add-in install crashes

    Dear all,
We want to deploy the Adobe connect add-in on all our computers but when I tried to install it on a test computer, to check if it works correctly, the setup crashes at the end saying that "the program wasn't installed correctly" like the following picture (sorry it's in french!):
If i use the "Reinstall using recommended settings" the install is done without any errors. However if I connect to a test meeting the plugin isn't detected:
By the way if we use the test connection page, the plugin is installed with success through the Flash download interface (step 4: http://na1cps.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm)
For information here is our standard configuration:
    - Windows 7 x64
    - Internet explorer 8
    - Flash player 11.3
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Regards

The add-in is version 11.2.385 from July 2013. I've tried uninstalling that version and reinstalling an add-in from this page (http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html) for Adobe Connect 8. That add-in at least allows me to launch my webcam, but it crashes 10-15 seconds later and Adobe Connect restarts.
With the new add-in (the first one I referred to), the entire Adobe Connect session shuts down when I click to "allow" Adobe Connect to use my webcam. It never starts it at all.
It's crashing with both internal and external cameras. It's more the clicking "allow" that crashes it, I think, because I've tried both. I prefer to use my internal camera on my new Asus laptop.
And WOW, it DOES work as it should when launching in browser. Thank you for that piece of advice.

  • Other video cards for Adobe Connect?

    Hi!
I am new here in this forum.
I just want to know what video cards that I can use for Adobe Connect? I read that I can use Osprey, but do I have other choice?
Also, is Connect limited to SD signals only? What if my source gives out HD? Is there a way for me to use this HD signal?
    Thanks in Advance...

You're talkign about video capture / input devices, right?
You don't want to try to run HD video through your PC into a webcam pod.
The Osprey is recommended because it has a hardware encoder chip - does not kill the CPU on the computer trying to compress the data...
But you can use things like the Dazzle HD USB connected unit.  I've done this.  Make sure you have a dual core computer, 64bit OS, and don't run a lot of other apps - or you'll see frame drops in the camera feed.
Video cameras that have a 'monitor mode' and connect to a PC via FireWife can also work.

  • Integrate robohelp with adobe connect and captivate

    RH8 HTML.
    Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has done this, or if it can be done at all.
I've produced a load of documentation for our web application, now we are beiong tasked with going down the elearning route with online courses etc.
I just want to know if there is any useful integration between robohelp, adobe connect, and/or captivate in terms of sharing content etc.
Even linking within RH to start a connect session or something similar.
    Thanks.

I haven't used Connect Pro but my understanding is that it is just a kind of portal into which you can placecontent that can be viewed over the web between disparate groups. Adding content to Connect Pro (e.g. a Captivate movie) should be easy to do. Once there, you'd just link to the URL from your RoboHelp project. You'd need to enter user logon details no doubt which makes me wonder whether this is the way forward for you. I'd have thought you could integrate your Captivate movies INSIDE your RoboHelp project and publish this to the web. That way you wouldn't need Connect Pro.
If it's of help we do just this, although in our case the movies are stored on our own internal server. We just link to them from the help so they open in a separate window.

  • Where can I download Adobe Connect 8.1.1?

I need to install Adobe Connect 8.1.2 but first I need to upgrade Adobe Connect 8.0 to 8.1.1.
Where can I download Adobe Connect 8.1.1? I have already downloaded Adobe Connect 8.1.2.

You can contact your Oracle Sales rep, and ask them to assist you in getting a copy.
You can open a Service Request with Oracle Support, to request a copy of the software.
You can contact your local Oracle user group to see whether one of the friendly locals has a copy you can borrow.
You can always monitor eBay for the occasional set of CDs. (For example, 8.0.5 for Solaris appeared today.)
However, as far as I know, once it has become obsolete you simply can not download it from an Oracle site.

  • Flash playing slow in Adobe Connect 8 Content

We are being upgraded to Adobe Connect 8 next week.  WE have a temporary Adobe Connect 8 and playing with it we find that when we load a flash file intro a Content area, it gives us the standard URL but if you try to play the video it just does not stream well as in our previous Adobe Connect.
So, any tips---I don't see any options to make the streaming better----and we have the fastest lightning speed connection.
    Any suggestions appreciated.
    best, Ted
