Anywhere an anchor/link doesn't have a target, add one.
Anywhere it has target="_blank", retain it
Anywhere it has a target other than blank, make that target blank.
Theres probably a find/replace tool out there that will do this. sed/awk on unix would both be candidates.
I would probably do it with the java.util.regex package, write a pattern to find links like this, and do replace the text in them. -
I am a new first time user of adobe to convert pdf. files to word, etc. I must add that I am 75 years old and not a computer literate fellow. I have a fairly large pdf file that I want to convert to word so I can cut & paste, etc ? Any & all help will be appreciated.

Converting ID3 tags: v2 to v1 then back to v2?
I converted a lot of my ID3 tags to ver. 1 so they would display properly on my CD player in the car. Can these be set back to ver. 2 again with losing anything. Please don't tell me I have to reimport the CD's again.....
If the version 1.x tags shortened any of the data fields stored in the original files, then that information will still be gone when you convert your tags back to version 2.x (2.3 recommended).
Unfortunately, iTunes isn't a player that encodes MP3s with both version 1.x and 2.x tags (at the same time), so it's best in a situation like this to make copies of the MP3 files you want to edit, and revert back to your original files after burning MP3 CDs, etc.
In the worst case, you shouldn't need to reimport your CDs; you may just have to add some missing information back into your tags once they're converted back to version 2.x. -
I want to convert my static wordpress theme to responsive
i am using a static theme for my blog http://tnpscexamnews.in, i want to convert the existing theme into responsive using dreamweaver. i need some tutorials about how to create responsive css for existing theme using dreamweaver.
I had a quick look at the existing website's html code, and the code isn't that bad - a RDW retrofit could be made to work relatively quickly for a quick RDW make-over.
But you will have to hand code it - that would be the most efficient.
Steps:
1) make the current fixed design fluid by setting a min-width and max-width on the container div. Then apply a width of 90% for some margins on the sides. While you are at it, clean up some of the html. For example that wrapper div isn't doing much.
2) remove the 990px width for the header. Add a clearfix to contain the floats in the header.
3) Add a surrounding main content container for both the main content and sidebar divs. Add clearfix.
4) convert the column widths to percentages. (target/context *100) So for the sidebar: 328/990 *100 gives you the width in percentage. Do the same for the main content container. You now have fluid columns, and a design that is responsive up to a point.
5) do the same for the footer columns.
7) Next, set up two media query breakpoints: one for tablets, one for desktop screens. Move the current desktop layout code in the desktop media query part. The first media query breakpoint is not a breakpoint at all, and you should start with the mobile css without adding a media query. Hide content you do not need for the initial mobile setup. Then display in the media queries whatever you need at the tablet and desktop level.
8) fix stuff that breaks. Test, test, and test.
This type of retrofitting is quite controversial, but it can be done quickly IF you know what you are doing. I have seen an article about this topic in "the responsive web design handbook 2014" which is out now (page 78 and on). I would get that bookazine.
And play with the inspector in Chrome/Firefox to test stuff. Not all sites can be retrofitted, but I did a quick test, and had a working fluid design for your home page in less than two minutes.

I've got a problem with ID3 tags. As far as i've been using iPod there was no such problem, but now my iPod is broken and i'm using nokia e50 smartpohone instead. The phone doesn't support ID3v2.4 so I had to downgrade all my tags to v2.3
But in some cases (later i've found those "cases" were encoded with iTunes) no conversion is possible.
my question is: how to enable the "Convert ID3 Tags" for iTunes encoded files? or if it's impossible what should I do to convert tags without using iTunes
Windows XP ProIf you're up to it, the following should work.
Download and install foobar2000 if you don't already use it. Add the unprotected AAC files to the main playlist window. Select them all, right-click, and choose Tagging > Rewrite File Tags.
Note: At this point, you may need to remove the same files from your iTunes library and add them back again if you will be transferring the files directly from iTunes to your phone. Otherwise, moving the files from their default location to your phone should work just fine. -
Question about "Convert ID3 Tags" command
I just used "Convert ID3 Tag" to convert all the songs in a library to ID3v2.4. When it was done, abotu half the album art had been killed. I have a backup, so nothing is lost, but I did not expect this to happen. My questions: (1) Is this expected behavior or a bug?, and (2) Any ideas why some album art survived and some did not?

For anyone else out there who might be interested:
Change the import settings in iTunes > Preferences > General, to Apple Lossless Encoder. Then you can select the files/albums you want to convert, and click on the Advanced menu while holding down the Options/Alt-key, and click "Create Apple Lossless Version". I found that it doesn't actually convert the existing WAV-files, but creates an Apple Lossless copy of every single file, so I had to spend some time weeding out the WAV-files afterwards. This is a one-time effort, though, as every CD will be imported as Apple Lossless from now on.
Better still, solved my problem with the album artwork! -

I want to convert a movie that I've created in iMovie from PAL to NTSC.
I've created a large movie using PAL but now want to convert it to NTSC to send to my family in Canada. It took ages to create. Is there an easy way of doing the conversion? I don't want to have to do it all again.

A. Using iMovie'08 to 11 - Will not give 100% result - as You want interlaced SD-Video = NTSC
B. Converting from PAL to NTSC - is Never 100% loss free - but You lose a bit
I use iMovie HD6 or FinalCut - as they can deliver 100% over to program that converts.
• iMovie and iDVD can convert - BUT RESULT WILL BE Very POOOOR.
My notes on How I do it
PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL
A. Copying commercial DVDs - No Not possibly at all - Not even legal to discuss.
B. Home made DVDs (DVDs without copy protection)
C. Movies from iMovie or FinalCut
• Save as full quality QuickTime .mov and convert this with JES_Deinterlacer (free on Internet)
NTSC ---> PAL.
• Most often not necessary - Most stand alone PAL DVD-players playback NTSC
(if TV is old in BL/W)
PAL ---> NTSC.
• If played on Mac - not necessary AT ALL
• If on NTSC DVD-player - CONVERSION IS NEEDED - nearly no Stand alone NTSC-DVD-players
playback PAL at all.
To do this You need to convert the PAL DVD to streaming.DV or full quality QuickTime .mov
• I use Roxio Toast™ to do this (There are no free converter)
• JES_Deinterlacer (free on Internet) to convert to NTSC
• Set up an NTSC project (29.97fps or 30) in iDVD and import then burn
I burn to
• Verbatim DVD-R
• Set down burn speed in iDVD to x1 or x4 recommended by many
• Secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on internal boot hard disk before burning (IMPORTANT)
PAL is 25 fps and an analog TV standard of 625 lines
NTSC is 29.97 fps and 520 lines
NTSC (29.97fps) 520 lines - about 640x480 pixels (square) 720x480 rectangular (narrow) pixels
PAL (25 fps) 625 lines - about 768x576 pixels (square) 720x576 rectangular (narrow) pixels
to use a photo 702x480 resp 576 then add 9 pixels on each side to add together as 720
If iDVD hangs on PAL or NTSC.

Any formula that references its own row will return the error message you see unless it is in a Header column.
Convert columns B, C and D to Header Columns, and Jerry's formula will work just fine:
One caution, though—multiple header columns are a known factor in slowing Numbers down as the table gets larger. You can avoid adding header columns by specifying a 'fixed' range of cells from wich to get the sum and count values in C2 and D2.
Make sure the range includes at least one 'extra' column. As more runs are added, add columns by inserting them before this 'extra column. If the new columns are inside the range specified in the formula, Numbers will adjust the formula to add the new columns. If they are outside the range, you will need to edit the formulas yourself.
Note revised formula:
To add four more runs, click on any cell in column L, then press option-left arrow four times to insert four new columns. Note the change in the formula:
The last column is always included in the formula, but never gets counted (or summed) because its content is interpreted as a Text value, not a number.
Note: Except for the change formulas and added columns, this is your original table, with one Header row and one Header column.
