Do I need to do Photoshop for design the menu text? or just typing in Dreamweaver?
Do I do need javascript programming?
How can I make it so text is on the background, can see through background?

I've done this very recently. In fact, tiles has very little to do with the menu itself.
In your layout, define where you want the menu to go.

On my menu page, I call a method on a custom object that returns the menu bar object. Currently, I'm working on putting this menu into some sort of cached object so it doesn't have to rebuild it on every page request.
Perhaps I've misread your post and you're looking to use tiles, in and of itself, to simulate menus? Otherwise, I hope my post helps.

I do not think that I am completely focused into this completely, so let us see if the following is going to help.
You are going to need a base for your button. When you mention "image" button, I am assuming that you are using that term to differentiate between a text button and a thumbnail type button.
The menus (main and scene) take their origin in .psd files on the hard drive and strict nomenclature and structure for Layers Palatte. And, the buttons on the menus trace back to the menu markers on the Timeline, main menu marker and order of placement of scene markers. The scene thumbnail will only appear when there is a scene marker on the Timeline to which it.
In view of all that
Where have you already inserted this "image (button)"...into the Layers Palette of a Photoshop document or other? Is this "image (button)" in a structured Layer Group in the Layers Palette with sublayer groups, text layers, graphic/background layer"?
Let me give you an example
If you have a button (with thumbnail) on the main menu and you want that to open to a specific scene in your movie, then you use a main menu marker on the Timeline at the spot that you want that button to target.
If I am getting closer to what you seek, then please further clarify the DVD navigational envisioned scheme.

Creating menu bar in Photoshop

I created a menu bar with individual buttons and hover
buttons in photoshop. I want the background buttons positioned in a
set place and to have the hover buttons work when I hover over each
button. What's the best way to do this? I started with making a div
wrap, but now I'm not sure if I should be doing this in a table. Is
there an example anyone knows of to do this with divs or a table?

Create Menu Bar shortcut

Hi,
I want to assign something from the Bluetooth menu bar icon to a shortcut.
When you click it, you are given a list of devices towards the bottom. When you hover on one it says Connect to Network. So the shortcut I guess would be something like this:
Bluetooth — iPhone — Connect to Network
But I'm not sure how I create this in the standard System Preference Shortcuts. Is it possible?

When making a shortcut, you don't need the full path. Just the command you want to assign a shortcut to (ie Connect to Network). However, I don't think you can assign a shortcut for Status Menu items. I've never succeeded.

It's easy getting rid of the background or coloring it.
But It looks like the menu has a visible white line on the right of each menu item to achieve that nice "line separator" look.

all this person has done is create an image in Photoshop with everything you see in the menu bar. (It's just a jpg image - see below). Then all he has done in Muse, is place small rectangles over each "text item" and giving each box a transparancy of 1%. Now he just "hyperlinks" these (?invisible?) boxes to the appropriate page on his site.

Want to customize Menu Bar - Where can I find explanations of the almost 200 editable items in the Properties for "ul.MenuBarHorizontal" ?

I want to design/customize a horizontal Menu Bar. However I'm flying blind on what the meanings (parameters) of each of the almost 200 editable items are in the Properties for "ul.MenuBarHorizontal" ?

You query is how to write the code on the click of the text that you selected from the master menu.
First have you assign function code to that particular text or not.
if not then click on the SET PF-STATUS you have created. then go to the maintain status screen. there u select the master menu
just double-click the master menu textbox , it will display the text under it
first textbox contain the function code & the 2nd textbox contain the textname.
assign 4 digit function code for the corresponding text.
After that Check this code.
START-OF-SELECTION.
SET PF-STATUS 'ZMENU_NOTEPAD'.

Finding the desktop menu bar like in Mac PC

Hi everybody,
I am looking for a Menu bar on the desktop that look like the Menu bar in Mac PC. I remember i set it up before but now i forgot its name.
Another question is that do you know any add-on so that i can run it on my desktop screen like the clock in Windows Vista, etc...
PS: I am running in KDE.

I'm using Gallery for standard photos of the site and I'm
using a small DV recorder (640x480) files.asf out. Some stills just

I'm trying to get a drop down menu in my web app using ADF Faces.
Currently I'm using an af:menuBar tab with a menu model like this:
- File
- New ...
- Open...
-View
- Toolbars ...
On clicking file new open options should come .
It only displays the top level nodes (i.e. the File and View)
Is it possible to make a drop down menu using ADF Faces?

How to work on flash stage separately without item/tool/menu bar like ⌘+f in photoshop

Hi eveybody.
This is my problem.
I would like to work on stage working area in a second screen whitout the tool bar on the top of the window of stage.
I know that i can hide toolbar, and de-select pasteboard by view>pasteboard.
But i'm trying to work on similar fullscreen like photoshop with ⌘+f command.
Is there any solution? into flash or other external script of finder-mac.
I tried some software for finder and similar but they didn't work on flash
If it can't be possible why adobe not implemented this function in cs5?

Want to create some button like font color button in MS Word?

hi all
i am writing a editor like MS Word, but small version with some basic functions: font family, font size, bold, italic... and font color.
so i need some UI for font color similar to the one in MS Word.
now i created a panel with two button; one shows the current color, and another show up JColorChooser when it is clicked; called JColorButton.
now the problem i am having now is i created the icon similar to the down-arrow in JComboBox. but the size of that arrow changes depending on Look & feel and i could not able to make it similar to it for my own created button.
any suggestion? ideas? i really appreciate it.
currently,i am trying to get the image of down-arrow from JComboBox on the fly. but no luck yet.

i checked BasicArrowButton. I replaced it with my JColorButton as second one, like in MS Word or Back button in Internet Explorer. but the size of arrow is smaller than the one in JComboBox beside it because the size of that button is smaller than JComboBox's size. so it still did not solve the problem yet.
i wonder if there is any button which function the same as Font color button in MS word or Back button in Internet Explorer.
or is there any way i can get the information about L&F about arrow of JComboBox?
and also i make JToolBar to be rollover, so the border of button show only when the mouse is over. but how can i do this same affect on my JColorButton, which is a panel with two buttons in it.

Hello.
I'm a new-to-java person who is trying to create a navigation menu similar to the one on this page :

I've tried taking apart theirs and similar menus to look at them, but once I think I've figured it out if I do anything at all different it does not work at all. I'm not sure if its that the javascripts were not meant to be changed, or if I am simply messing up the wrong things.
If anybody knows of a simlilar effect I could use, and modify with my extremely limited skills, I'd be in your debt.
Plus if anybody knows of a good book describing basic javascripting, I'd really be happy to hear about it. Thankee ever so much,

Might I suggest you ask this in a javascript forum
(and you won't get this by picking at their source code either as you'll need a *.js file)
