I want to delete my iCloud account as I have created new Apple id. But it is not allowing me to delete the previous account as it in no longer in use. I m using IOS 8.2. My new Apple id and alternate email address is verified. Plz help I m stuck.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

When using the iPhone with the Windows OS, you need to have the Apple Mobile Device Service running. It should start automatically when you start the computer, but sometimes things happen. Use this support document to try and restart the service. See if that helps.

I am trying to use the "App Store" on my Macbook Pro but it will not allow me to open the program. It automatically says, "App Store has closed unexpectedly." Whenever I tell it to reopen, the exact same messege pops up. My computer has all of the latest updates from Apple.
I tried deleting the program then running the software update to try to get the program again but it did not work. Where can I manual download the actual app store program, or fix the one that I have.

I bought a brand new ipad air, but I am not allowed to download ie. pages and keynotes for free, as promised?
The free only counts for devices activated after September. So first you need to activate the iPad (go through all the set up stuff), then, using the same Apple ID you used to activate the iPad, go to the App store and search for Pages, etc. When you download them you should see them for free.
Being free is tied to the Apple ID used to activate a device. For example, I bought my iPod in June, so I'd need to pay for the apps, which is why they're not universally free in the app store.
After you activate the iPad it may take a little time for the app store to realize 'yeah, just got a new device, this purchase is free'. I've seen people say they go right in, see it for cost, then go back in a little bit and the apps are now free. -

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download. Have you not got a copy of it on your computer and/or on a backup that you can sync to the iPad ? I want to sync my music library of my Ipad to my Iphone.I am travelling overseas and do not have access to my synced Mac. My iphone had to be reset and I lost my library with I rest to use a new sim card. I have a PC with me which has Itunes but it does not allow me to take the library from the Ipad, it just wants to delete the Ipad library. Is there anything I can do? I have even paid for Imatch but it only wants to copy what is on the the PC which has only 2 tunes!!!!! Any suggestions? Thanks

im using another id for my purchases, which was the same one set for icloud, but i wasnt using icloud, now i made a new id, and want to set it for icloud, but its not offering me the chance to change it in icloud settingsWelcome to the Apple Community Rozie.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -
I bought a used iPod and they were previously signed onto their iCloud account. I have been wanting to change it but I have not been able to sign out of the previous account because I cannot sign out of "Find My iPod Touch" due to not knowing the password. How am I able to shut that off and log into my own account?
You can't. This is a security feature to prevent the resale of stolen iOS devices. You need to contact the seller and have him/her remove it from their iCloud account. Or return and get your money back. See: Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

I changed my Apple ID but on my iPhone 4S w/ iOS 7.0.4, when I go into settings > iCloud it still shows the old Apple ID. How do I change this? I was going to delete the iCloud account from my phone then add it back with the new Apple ID, but I'm not sure...help!

I have changed my Apple ID name and I want to change it on iCloud, however I am not able to delete the previous account because I need to turn off the Find my iPhone - and for that I need to log in with the old name and that is not working. Help anyone?

I’m giving my ipad to my sister and I had the icloud account changed. I have added new ID and deleted the old one. However when updating and downloading apps, it still asks for password to the previous account. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks very much!

Apps are tied to the Apple ID they were bought with and can not be shared with other devices that have a different Apple ID. -

First go here - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and login under the manage tab. Check your information and be sure it is all correct.
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, so if you see another email address in the store, then someone has logged in with a different AppleID than yours. Did you let someone else use your iPhone? -
I changed laptops and went from Vista to Windows 8. It requires icloud. I did icloud setup but it will not allow me access and wants to give me a new password. That is OK but it will not send me the promised password even though itunes recognizes my password
This has been posted for almost 2 weeks and not one reply. Thanks a bunch! As a newbie to OOo and Mozilla, I am not impressed with responsiveness to support needs with either. So, the future of my new experiment with going non-Microsoft remains an open question.
Oddly enough, the problem mysteriously went away. I have followed the same routine and changed no settings. Suddenly all of the downloaded spreadsheets were no longer read-only. So I consider the matter resolved.
