I want to deploy OS/application in my SCSM 2010 lab.What do I need?

Hi, I am new to SCSM. I finished setting up the lab for SCSM 2010. I want to deploy OS/application to a PC. What else do I need to set up.  I cant get help from MS V-Lab. It doesn't open on my PC. It opens a blank page in browser with no error. I have
.NET 3.5.
My lab Is 3 servers and 1 client in one subnet.
1- DC1( 2008 R2 AD).
2- APP1 Server 2008R2 (Service Manager Management Server, SQL 2008R2, and Self-Service Portal).
3- APP2 Server 2008 R2 APP2 (Data Warehouse management server, SQL 2008 R2)
4- Cilent1 Win7 ultimate (service manager console)
Do I need to install configuration manager, share point, any operation manager? What version?
Please help.  Thanks.

Hi,
You need to Install SCCM 2012 server along with agents on Desktops, then you can create application package and install it on your desktops.
You may use Orchestrator to Integrate SCSm with SCCM catalog.

    i am about to upgrade my ipod and want to give my old ipod nano to a friend. what do i need to do so thay can use it on their computer and create their own itunes account?

    Connect it to iTunes, select the Nano in the "devices" column and click "Restore". The warning window you get will ask you if this is what you really want to do.
    Your very lucky friend will essentially have it in the same condition as if she bought it new.
    One more thing: if you registered it in My Support Profile, make sure to un-register it. Only you can do that. Have your friend register it under her own Apple ID.

    MiniDisplayPort-to-? adapter, available at Apple stores and Best Buy and antplace selling Apple.  Plugs into the Thunderbolt or "lightning bolt" port.
    Replace ? with HDMI or VGA or DVI.
    Know that TVs spave pixels further apart, for viewing at 10-15 ft instead of close as monitors do.  Makes viewing small text at 10 ft difficult sometimes.
    Another poster also recently reported that using the mouse on the external display is "laggy".  Some models of Mac have only a graphics card integrated into the CPU (which can be challenged by running a big external TV) and some have a "discrete" or "second" graphics card that handles TVs better.

    I am deploying an application using firefox. I am using the mozilla.cfg file to lockdown firefox and I don't want firefox to be the default browser.

    Try the option to "Force Firefox to make itself the default" as shown in this article - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_browser
    Another possibility is your email application may be hard-coded to use IE.

    I have made a bootable copy (8GB thumb drive) of ML and want to load it on another Apple laptop running SL. What do I need to do in order to avoid losing any files. I do not want to do a clean install. I know ML is comptible.

    I'm getting an error message when ML is almost completely installed and it stops the install. Is there any way to get back to the snow leopard operating system and scrap the ML install at this point. I had to shut the Mac book off and when I started again it tried to install ML a second time. It is still trying to install but at this point I don't want to screw anything up any further so just want to get back to SL.
    Any suggestions.

    All Intel iMac's can run 10.6 Snow Leopard.
    To get it, go to > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)
    If you want Mountain Lion, you wiil need to check and see if it meets the requirements.

    Just after the 2012 Macs were released there were a lot of crashes involving those machines that Chrome got the blame for. By the time I got my hands on a 2012 MBA Chrome had been updated at least twice (plus it was never clear which version of Chrome was implicated, assuming it was the cause to begin with). All I can say now is that I've not replicated the issue with the last two versions of Chrome.

  • Want to replace my hard drive from 160g to 500g what do i need to know

    want to replace my hard drive on a compaq presario sr055cl. it has a 160 g hard drive how big can i go
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Here is the Service Manual showing how to replace a hard drive:
    Manual
    It does have 2 SATA connectors. Here is a picture of the motherboard.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00069442&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
    This is primitive SATA. It is a SATA connection to an IDE bus. However, the fact that you have a 160 gig drive already installed tells me the motherboard will accept Large Block Addressing 48 bit (LBA48) which means you are not really constrained by size. I am sure a 500 gig drive will work and will bet a 1 TB would also work. I will also bet you would have problems with a high density drive of 2 TB or higher. The existing drive is a IDE, which means it is connected to the motherboard with a flat ribbon cable. You will have a hard time finding an IDE drive on the market these days. It will have to be SATA. Just attach a SATA data cable between the hard drive and the motherboard. You will likely need to get a molex (white 4-pin) to SATA power adapter, too, but those often come with the hard drive or are available for a couple bucks at the store where hard drives are sold.
    You should be able to clone the old drive to the new using cloning software. I like and recommend Acronis True Image Home. If I were doing this I would connect the new SATA drive to the motherboard port with the side cover off and also bring power to the SATA drive. I would leave the original drive in and boot from the cloning software disk doing a proportional resize so all partitions are expanded the same percentage. After the clone is complete remove the original drive and bolt the SATA drive in its place. I would just tell you to add a second hard drive but the computer only has space for one unless you want to remove the card reader.
    You may need to enable the SATA ports in the BIOS if they are not currently in use. The motherboard picture page linked above tells how to enter the BIOS. Post back if you need more help.

  • Deploying sample applications in mosaic

    Hello, i want to deploy the applications in Mosaic. I'm following these instructions:
    Use the Ant build files provided with the Mosaic ES2 installation to deploy sample applications to the server.
    To run Ant, type ant from the command line. When you do not provide arguments, Ant looks for a build.xml file in the current directory.
    For descriptions of the sample applications, see Sample applications.
    Deploy all samples and demos
    In the following directory, run Ant:
    [Mosaic ES2 install directory]/samples/
    Deploy the general sample applications
    In the following directory, run Ant:
    [Mosaic ES2 install directory]/samples/general/
    Deploy the MAX2009 application
    In the following directory, run Ant:
    [Mosaic ES2 install directory]/samples/max2009/
    I've set the ant_home enviromment variable but it still gives me the 'ant' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
    Thanks.

    Hodmi, i've done that but now i got this error:

    How do we use ABSOLUTE PATH in config.xml if you want to deploy Web application?

    Hi,
    specifying a leading slash shoul be enough to let the system know that it is an absolute path.

  • Deploying JSP Application that instantiate BPEL Processes

    Hi,
    I have a JSP page where I am trying to invoke a BPEL Process. I have looked at the samples, but couldn't find a dcumentation on how to deploy the application. What if I want to deploy this application on a OracleAS 10g not on BPEL Mid-tier if so what libraries do I need. Is there a document I can look at that kind of describes all this what really goes in build.xml and the application is packeaged or does the directory structure should be just like as in the samples provided. There's not enough information as it does tells you do this and you are done but how does that all work. Is there another way to deploy the J2EE application other than using obant.
    Thanks

    Create a web application and a jsp which invokes BPEL process. If you want to see an example you can refer
    OraBPELPM_1\integration\bpelpm\orabpel\samples\tutorials\102.InvokingProcesses\jsp\invokeHelloWorld.jsp
    In this code change
    Locator locator = new Locator("default","bpel"); to
    Hashtable contextProps = new Hashtable();
    contextProps.put(javax.naming.Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    contextProps.put(javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "admin");
    contextProps.put(javax.naming.Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "welcome");
    contextProps.put(javax.naming.Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ormi://host:23791/orabpel");
    Locator locator = new Locator("default","bpel", contextProps);
    This should invoke the process.
    For this code to complile you have to set the OraBPEL libraries in the classpath. If you are using BPEL Designer JDev then it's available as a library.
    Deploy this web application in any oc4j instance.

  • Steps to deploy Wireless application to 10G application Server

    Dear,
    I have a simple application developed using XForms/XHtml/JSP using JDeveloper Wireless Extension.
    I have been able to test the application in embedded OC4J in JDeveloper but I want to deploy this application in 10G application Server installed on another Server.
    Can anyone provide me the steps to deploy Wireless Application to the 10G Server.
    It will be great help to me.
    Regards,
    Niti

    Logon to the webtool (http://oraclemidtierhost:port/webtool/login.uix) and click on the 'services' tab. Here you can add an application. Using the content tab you can publish your application to the wireless portal.
    After clicking on the content tab click on Access Control Content to give your user groups access to certain applications.
    Test your applications using the device portal entrypoint:
    http://oraclemidtierhost:port/ptg/rm
    Read more about publishing application in the online developer manual:
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10464_01/wireless.904/b10948/toc.htm
