  • How can i disable sound notification on ROSA?

My rosa has too many "unit not responding" alarms.
i want to disable only sound notification for "unit not responding" on ROSA
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPhone App

    Hi Eun Jin-ki
Do you want to disable sound notification for only "Unit not responding" messages? Or do you want to disable sound notification for any message. You can disable the sound notification for all messages or enable only for specific message levels via the menus option Messages/Options. You can also try the option "Repetitive Alarm Suppression" on this Message/Options page to suppress repetitive alarms over a configurable period. Of course, this will apply to both the sound and the pop-up notifications.

  • HT4314 Is there a way to disable GameCenter notifications?

I have never been fond of GameCenter, it always seemed pointless and half baked. After updating to iOS 7, however, what was once a mere irritation has become a loathing disdain. The notifications take up a third of the screen and are a complete eyesore.
I want to disable them by any means necessary, if I could delete GameCenter I would have by now.
Any help would be appreciated, I have already tinkered in settings and in GC itself and have found little if any actual customization to the entire application, it's an embarrassment considering how long GC has been around.

It will still ask me if I want to log in (I don't).  After I tell it no a bunch of times, when opening a game it will show a popup window in the middle of the screen saying that there was a Game Center Authentication Error: "The requested operation has been cancelled or disabled by the user" - requiring me to hit OK to dismiss it.
If I do login, it will display a "Welcome Back!" banner at the top of the screen when I open a game.
I want them all gone.  I have disabled all notifications for Gamecenter.  I have moved Gamecenter into "Do Not Include" for notifications.  I have enabled Restrictions, and disabled everything I could find related to Gamecenter.
To put it simply, I don't want banners taking up huge portions of the screen, or popup windows I have to close manually.  If Notifications does not control them, what does?

  • Possible to disable all notifications in iOS 5?

In iOS 4, when I wanted to take a nap, I would go to settings->notifications->off.  That would disable all notifications, so I would only be woken by a phone call or a text message, not by a notification.  In iOS 5, I no longer see a way to turn off all notifications.  The only way to do it is to silence or turn off my phone, but then I will miss important calls and text messages.  Is there a way to turn off all notifications while leaving the ringer on, without having to turn off the notifications app-by-app?
If not, I hope Apple restores this functionality.

God, this is annoying.  I tried the workaround suggested to turn off cellular data and wi-fi.  This almost solved the problem.  But I quickly discovered that it didn't work quite the way I expected it to.  I turned off data and wi-fi and went to take a nap.  I was awoken by a reminder (apparently, those are activated by the iPhone, rather than pushed by the cloud).  And then, when I re-enabled cellular data and wi-fi, I received an iMessage from my wife that she had sent a few minutes earlier.  I had read elsewhere that SMS/MMS would go through even if data and wi-fi were turned off, but apparently that's not the case with iMessages (if someone else has experience with this, please confirm).  In iOS 4, I could turn off notifications with the click of a button, in which case I would be awoken by text messages and unbothered by calendar reminders, which is exactly what I wanted.  Now all I've got is a clumsy workaround that gives me the opposite result.
I read that if you plug something into the headphone jack, you'll only hear the iPhone speaker if the phone rings.  I'd be interested to know whether you hear the speaker when an SMS/MMS/iMessage arrives as well (which is what I want), and in no other circumstances.  Maybe I'll experiment with this after I finish my nap.  If someone else knows whether this is an effective workaround, please post here.
And if anyone knows of a better workaround, please post that as well.
By the way, I've left feedback at
http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html I encourage all of you to do the same.

  • [Solved] Xfce : Want to disable save session

    Hello everyone. New to Arch.
Here's my problem. I want to disable save session feature of Xfce, but unable to do it. I also have tried,
    1. Settings manager > Session and startup - Unticking "Automatically save session on logout"
    2. Removing session cache.
But no luck. Is there any other way to that? Thanks in advance.

I Think I didn't describe my problem well in above post.
I already disabled automatically save session on logout from Xfce settings manger. Because I don't want it. But in every time going to logout "Save session for future logins" ticked. I must to untick it always on logout dialog. Otherwise session will be saved. That's what I want to be disabled.
EDIT : Never mind. Fixed it my own. Just logged in as root and removed session cache folder. [~/.cache/session]

  • Disabling push notifications in Mac OS 10.7.5

I just moved (reluctantly) from Mac OS 10.5.8 to Mac OS 10.7.5. I keep getting notices from Little Snitch that different connections want to be made by "Applepushserviced". Since I do not want to use push notifications, how do I disable them in 10.7.5? iOS has a setting that does this, but so far I haven't found a similar setting in Mac OS. BTW, I never received these in Mac OS 10.5.8, so why now?

Using Little Snitch, I toggled "Forever" and "Deny" on each occurance. They finally stopped.

  • Login Notifications, Email Alert

I need login notifications just like facebook. I want to know if somebody else is using my skype account. is this too much to ask. This is for everybody's peace of mind. A much needed security please.

We are installing a PC at a remote location where users have been known to not always play by the rules. The PC will automatically log into a locked down standard user, but there are some users that might want to access the Admin account. We have auditing enabled, but would also like to get an email alert when someone attempts to log into the admin account.I was able to stumble across this article on HowToGeek: http://www.howtogeek.com/123568/how-to-get-email-notifications-whenever-someone-logs-into-your-compu...It explains how to get an email when someone logs in, but not for failed login attempts. The PC is running Windows 7 Pro in a workgroup setup.

  • How can I disable the notification sound for remaining credit messages

My operator sends me a message after every call and text which tells me what remains of my monthly allowances. This is very useful and I don't want to turn it off. I've just got myself a Z10 and the only thing that annoys me about it is that I have not yet found out how to disable the notification sound for this type of message. The device is stock with the latest firmware and no apps.
I can change the notification for normal text messages in the settings, but there is no obvious entry to change for these messages. Does anyone know how to do it?

If the message comes in the (bell) notifications it can only be switched OFF globally.
If it is a text message, you can create a contact with the number, then Setting - Notifications - Contacts - Customise - Phone Calls, Email Messages, Text Messages, Other Messaging

  • How can I disable the notification centre? How can I fix the low memory of my iPod?

Does somebody know how to disable the notification centre?
    It is annoying!
If I want to play Fruit Ninja it always opens und if I want to scroll on youtube too.
    Could somebody help me?
Since iOS 5.0.1 my iPod has very low memory.
More than the half of them are running not or only bad.
Before iOs 5.0.1 I could use all Apps normaly.

    - From the users guide:
Turn notifications on or off:  Go to Settings > Notifications. Tap an item in the list, then turn
notifications on or off for that item.
    - Closing unused app via the task bar and periodically powering off and back on helps.

  • Disable login for embedded purpose

    Hi all,
I need some hints about an argument. I need to disable the login on my archlinux. I guess there is a specific service that I need to disable. Can someone tell what it is ?
After that I've disabled is there a way to enable ?
    Thanks for any reply.
    Kind regards
P.s. It's ok for me also to hide the password prompt after the boot ( text mode ).

Can you clarify your end goal?  Part of your post sounds almost like you want an autologin (hide the password prompt).  But if you want to disable logging in, what routes of login do you want to prevent, local tty, ssh, others?  If you disable every form of loging in, then how would you ever re-enable anything (I suppose only by booting a live medium and modifying the system from there).
What is the "embedded purpose" referred to in the title.
Ok, let me explain better. I've a PC that runs  a graphical service. I would like to hide the boot process away, so the custmer will see only a black screen before that my service starts. I no need to make a login ( anyways I can use grub and start a root shell at the boot ).

  • Disable timemachine notifications

    Hi,
I have two timemachine backups. One in wifi timemachine (which is not so stable and need restart every 3 month) and one in usb drive. So my backup plan is to make backup in wifi so often than possible and 1 per month to usb. Now my osx notify after 1week that "backup couldn't complete during..." to my usb timemachine but anyway valid backup is in wifi timemachnie. Osx continue notify me every day until I have done backup to usb drive or I remove permanently. How I can disable this notification without disable any other notifications? Also I want different backup plan for different backup disk.

You can ping-pong between time machine drives (as you're doing) but I don't know how to change the periodicity of each independently.  I can say you should consider making the USB a clone (using carbon copy cloner or superduper) and keeping the wifi as time machine.  You're safer this way than with dual time machines.  It would also solve the problem you're having.

  • Disabling subscription notification email for specific folders

Hi is it possible to disable subsription notification email for specific folders.
We have a custom application which sends notifications and hence do not want duplication of mails.
    Thanks
    rocky

    Hi Rocky,
If these folders are in a separate repository, the subscription service can be disabled.(not configured) for this repository.
