I want to display year wise sales value

Dear expert's,
                     i am loaded sales overview infocube 0sd_c03 with 11 series infosource in to infocube  expect for calyear..... time chara.......
so i am only having monthwise values in infocube. now i want to display year wise sales value in my query based on month wise time chara....values.......
how to do it..... with out loading once again in to infocube.......

Bex 3.x displays report in Excel as you know.
In the Bex query designer ,include a dummy formula or calc kf or any such thing
In the excel sheet, you have option of writing a VB code that can refer you calmonth and populate relevant calyear in that dummy column created by you.
This will avoid any kind of upload in cube as the data population goes in runtime. For huge data sets , check on performance

    We can do it using 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL with 0PUR_C01 InfoCubes. So check it, I have done using the same combinations.

    Statistic Group:
    Purpose u2013 To capture data for Standard Reports, we require to activate Statistic Group as under:
    --> Item category (Configuration)
    --> Sales document type (Configuration)
    --> Customer (Maintain in Master data)
    --> Material (Maintain in Master data)
    When you generate statistics in the logistics information system, the system uses the combination of specified statistics groups to determine the appropriate update sequence. The update sequence in turn determines for exactly which fields the statistics are generated.

    IMG --> Logistics Information System (LIS) --> Logistics Data Warehouse --> Updating --> Updating Control --> Settings: Sales --> Statistics Groups -->

  • Wants to display variable as key value in Free Char section of report

    Hi All,
    I have a variable based on characteristic. When I execute report, I pass value for that variable. And I get text of that variable value, displayed in Free Characteristic section.
    Instead of text, I want to display key value there.B'coz many times, texts are ambiguous and quite fictional examples.
    I have tried changing 'Display as key' in Business explorer tab of infoobject definition. And in query definition, I already have 'Display as Key'. So I am wondering what else needs to be done for this change.
    I will appreciate if someone can help me on this.

        You can display all variables used in Query in workbook from BEx Menu(Tool bar) -->> Layout --> Display Text eliments --> Variables (you can see two entries for each variable) one for key and one for Text.

  • Territory Wise Sales Report

    I want to generate territory wise sales report using sql server reporting services from sap b1.  How can I define the hierarchy where my state will be the top group, the territories will be the sub groups and the executive name and sales value will be the details.  How can I transform the parent, child relation into a group, sub group option in a report.  Kindly provide sample sql query for the same.

    As advised by you i have created territory hierarchy in the territory setup, where zone is the first level, state is the second level and territory (district) is the third level and in the BP master territory field this third level is picked. I am finding it difficult to develop hierarchy wise report where the report when run should show the zone wise net sales summary (net in the sense, minus all the sales returns and credit notes, etc) and when drilled should show the state wise total and in the last level the territory wise sales and if possible one more drill where the BP under that territory with sales amount will be shown.  Request you to kindly help me with a base query wherein i can modify the same to develop many variation of the same report.  Thanks in advance.

  • How to get the sales value of the last month in the quarter

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to get the "Sales" value against a quarter. We have 2 tables "Time" and "Sales". We want to display the Sales value against each quarter.
    But this should happen as follows.
    Consider quarter Q1 it should display the value of 3rd month, Q2 should display value for 6th month and so on..
    If in any particular Quarter we dont have a value for last month then it should display the value for 2nd month, if 2nd month value is also not present then it should display 1st month sales value.
    We are using excel as the database.
    Please let us know if anybody has a resolution to this.

    hi,make an other column which will be the flag for the last months you want to be displayed...
    so ,in reports,you pass it as hidden column(by filter only the ones which have the appropriate flag),and then voila...

    Can any one help for How to maintain year wise data in sql server. 
    In my project i manage year wise data i.e 1st April to 31 march.
    At the end of the year the current year closing balances need to update as opening balance for the next year and previous data wont be changed.
    And i dont know how to  create year wise folders in one database....
    Please show me some suggestion...

    According to your description, we got that you want to manage year wise data in one database. You can try to create a partitioned table with a Year column to store all the data. The partitioning feature is supported in SQL Server 2005 and later versions of
    SQL Server. There are four major steps for implementing partitioning.
    1. Create a filegroup or filegroups and corresponding files that will hold the partitions specified by the partition scheme.
    2. Create a partition function that maps the rows of a table into partitions based on the values of a specified column.
    3. Create a partition scheme that maps the partitions of a partitioned table to the new filegroups.
    4. Create or modify a table and specify the partition scheme as the storage location.

    it depends on ur data...
    if it is currency then u can use
    WRITE.... CURRENCY...
    if it is qty then u can use
    WRITE....UNIT....
    or u simply pass it to a packed field and it will take the default decimal settings of the user profile...

    Hi Friends,
                      I have a key figure "X', and it is split over 12 months (aging buckets), by using formula, but I want to filter values with zero values ie I want to display all non zer values only.
    This looks like
    Apr        100   
    May       200   
    Jun         200 
    Jul            0   
    Aug
    Sep
    Oct
    Nov
    Dec
    Jan
    Feb
    Mar
    In the above example I dont want to display 'Jul' at all, and the rest should be displayed, Wherein all the above are formula(Apr, May,......)
    Is it possible ?
    If so , what is method.
    I tried supress in query properties , Like supress zeros, but it is not working.

                       In my case condition is not working, as I want to display values that ae non zeros. If I am using conditions, none of the values are displayed like Apr, May,Jun, Jul, etc........, I want to display all values except Jul as that values is zero as per my example.

  • How to display values year wise in a request

    Hi All,
    My requirement is I have 3 years of data. I need to display that data year-wise in different tables at a time i.e., suppose if i have 2010,2011,2012 data then i need to display 2010 data in one table ,2011 data in next table and 2012 data in another table in same request. At a time i should get all three years of data but in different tables.
    Here table in the sense data should be separated year_wise.
    How can I achieve this?

    Hi,
    It is good know you got your requirement.
    Pivot table is on of the specialized view we are using to create the report. The options available in the view is same like Microsoft Excel Pivot table view.
    Pivot table optioins:
    Page: It is like prompt in the view itselft. If we are adding column in the page it will show all the values of that column for e.g if you are adding year column into that page tab it will show the values of the year, so we can select any particular year and can filter the report in the view itself.
    Section: It will separate the report into different section by the column value which we are having in section tab.
    Measures: It is the special place for adding number columns (e.g amount, employee count, quantity,revenue and etc, like that ) basically called measures in the fact table. The column dragged into the measures have special aggregation rules such as sum, min, max, avg,count and etc
    excluded: if want to add any column in the saved request but donot want to display, you can drag that column into excluded tab.
    Rows: These option will display the report by value of the column wise.
    Columns: It will separate the measure value by the column what we are having in this tab. (for e.g if we are putting year in column tab the column 'Revenue' in the measure table will be separated by year wise.
