bpruse, I may be completely off-track for your issue, but I had a similar situation where I wanted to downgrade a Mac Pro from Server to plain OS X and it would not boot from the OS X install disk.
I was attempting to use a full-install OS X.6.x disc with an earlier SL version than that which originally came installed on the Mac Pro. After two or three hours of fiddling, I figured it out and used the discs that came with the system.
However, I don't know how that would work in your case if this is the mini server-version. I'm sure the disks would only have Server on them. Worse-case scenario, find out which X.6.x the OEM disc is installing and get an OS X disc with a new installer.

If you are seeing something overlayed on the exported image, this is probably not caused by the badges overlays, but by a watermark.
Check your export preset, if a watermark is enabled. In the "Export" panel set the "Export Preset" to "Edit" and check the settings for the preset you want to use. Disable any watermarks.

Your earlier phone must have been originally intended for sale in another country and must have been purchased from somewhere other than an authorized Apple retailer. Phones that are intended to be sold in the UAE have FaceTime permanently disabled. The option is not there and cannot be made to work.

Macbook won't start - apple icon turns to circle with diagonal line/slash

My Macbook won't start. When I turn on the power, the apple icon appears but then after a while it changes to a circle with a diagonal line/slash, then it just shows a gray screen.
The last time I used the computer I did several software updates. Could this be causing the problem? Any suggestions for getting my computer operating again?

Yup, i encountered the same experience after a strange failed USB-loading, and a sudden shutdown of my macbook.
Luckily i manage to "safe-boot" (pressing "Shift" key once starting up the mac) my macbook so that i can save the necessary files before will lose them all.
After that i popped-in my SL Installation DVD, and did the reinstallation process. Fortunately, everything works as charm and everything is back to normal after Spotlight has done it's hard work.
Happy Apple user once again.

HT201272 Problem downloading an app in iTunes which I purchased through iPad mini. The iTunes try to download the app but it keeps freezing, not only the iTunes but slowing the whole computer.

I am using PC, Windows 7, updated to iTunes11.0.
purchased an app from iPad Mini for free, and then when I open iTunes in windows, it automatically try to download the app, and freezes.
I am not sure what is the problem behind, but the crashes certainly slows down my computer ( i7 quad core, with 3GB ram, after crashing it is slower than a P4 computer....)

I'm trying to reset Macbook Pro to factory. I have the disk, but when I try to reboot from the disk, holding down "c", it just goes straight to installation. Any help is appreciated.

I read the directions from Kappy on how setting my Macbook Pro to factory settings. I put the OS disk in, rebooted while holding down 'c'. I got the choose language, but then it goes to 'installation', no menu. Am I doing something wrong?

1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo
appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.

How do I know if my iphone has successfully been backed up to my iTunes? I plugged it in and it said it backed up and I did a sync, but when I am looking through the summary page and I am not sure that all of my data got backed up. Please help!!

I have never backed up my iphone to my itunes because I always used the cloud. However, a few months ago, my wifi disk in my phone burned out so the Apple Store told me to back up everything to my itunes. I am going today to get the iphone 6 so I connected my phone (iphone 4S) to my itunes and I backed up and synced. However, when I look throughout the summary page and click in different areas (Photos, Movies), I don't see any of my data -- it is still asking me to Sync from iPhoto or to sync from another location. By backing up & syncing my phone, did all of my data get saved? Or do I still need to do more steps?
Sorry for the long winded question, I am just so nervous to get a new phone and plug it in to be restored and not have any of my pictures, videos or contacts, etc. Any help would be so so appreciated!

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. If the battery was completely drained the iPad will not respond for some time after connecting it to the charger. Connect the iPad to the charger that came with it and plug that into a good wall outlet. Wait 30 minutes. Then reset the iPad.Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. Cannot load printer driver -- direct USB to HP Laserjet 1020. OSX finds the printer, but "Print Using" will not accept the driver. I downloaded from HP, installed the DMG and PKG. Things looks OK, but Print Using: won't accept the driver. Please help !

This should be SIMPLE -- just trying to get old Mac G4 desktop to print on directly attached (USB) HP Laserjet 1020.
Several online sources say the HP drivers for Laserjet 1022 work fine ...
I deleted all printers, installed the HP drivers (all prompts indicate it is installed fine), re-connected the printer by USB. OSX recognizes the printer and auto-populates its name in the Name: box, puts "desktop" in the Location: field ... and the Print Using: field is gray, saying "Please select a driver or printer model"
I click the arrow to expand options, choose Other ... and get a selection box for identifying the driver. I open the folder with the PKG file and click it ... and then find myself back at the printer setup with the the Print Using: field still gray, and still saying "Please select a driver or printer model."
I have tried this process a half-dozen times with re-starts in between --- cannot get past this sticking point -- aargh !
Any advice would be welcome. Thank you !

Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.

Not getting past step 2 out of 3 with flash installer. please help!

Im trying to run MP3 rocket pro.
I have already made it run once since downloading it. Once i closed mp3 rocket and tryed reopening it. I got the box saying i needed to install flash player 10 or higher. I go to adobe and download it. I open up my download folder and hit run and the box disaperes but nothing happens. i then try to click on the download box again but it says only one program can run at a time. Im stuck at this point. i have gotten nowhere with internet Explorer so i uninstalled it and tryed to download chrome but now thats not running correctly . I have tryed installing and uninstalling adobe and mp3 rocket and got nowhere. its just chewing up my internet.
this is a 2nd hand laptop so should i just do a rebot and be done with it or ?

well, I can get you started anyways. Fire up the Mail.app, run Connection Doctor --that'll show you if you can get and send email. call your ISP (internet service provider) and see if you do webmail through them. check to make sure your mail account is set up according to how they'd like to do it, with the appropriate POP and SMTP settings. your trouble might be on their end, rather then on your end of things.
also, in your sent box, check by "date sent". There's also a help thing in Mac Mail which might be good.

I forgot my password and follow the steps but my email did not received the reset password email

I forgot my old apple password and I follow the steps for reset my password. But my frustration is when i login my email there was no email on resetting my password.

I've never received reset password emails.
Despite waiting 24hrs (as some forum posts had suggested it takes a bit of time to come through). So I created new account using a new email.
But now I have the same problem on a different account, and still nothing received. I've checked spam folder and email server but nothing is received. Other emails from Apple have been received, when I added voucher and when I registered to this forum.
So if anyone else has found a resolution I would be most interested also.

Have backup disk, but Time Machine is not recognizing it...

I have tried 3 different external hard drives, all of which have come up in Finder and I am able to explore them, but when I ask to set up Time Machine, it has no options of any backup disks for me to select? Help! Right now I have Western Digital 500 GB drive connected.

Using Disk Utility. First, make sure there is no data on the drive you want to keep. Everything that's on the drive already will be destroyed in the conversion process.
Open Disk Utility (from the Applications > Utilities folder) and select the backup disk from the left-hand pane. Make sure you select the correct disk, otherwise you may lose valuable data! In the main section of the window, select 'Erase' and make sure that "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)' is selected. Change the name if you want, then click 'Erase...'.
When this is complete, your freshly formatted disk should appear in the Time Machine preferences.

I have been having a couple of problems with my imac and it said to do a clean install so i then copied an image of my hard drive and followed the instructions such as delete and formate the disc and then reboot the system with the setup disc in it i then did this and followed the instructions but i then came back to the system to find it had powered off for some reason so i then tried to reboot it and the apple in the middle of the screen then changes to a circle with a line through it has anybody got any ideas or do i think the worst and look for a new hard drive oh i forgot to mension it will not eject the setup disc!!!!

It sounds like your hard disk is not accessible, I would first you need to start your iMac with the system DVD that came with your system, then format the hard drive with disk utility, then install the Mac OS X on to your newly formatted drive.
