The only place you can download an application from is the iTunes app store. Is that what you are trying to do? Elsewhere will not work.

The fix was to completely remove all Apple Software following guides in previous posts.
Then download and re-install latest iTunes 64-bit, making sure to Run As Administrator.
This fixed it. Now the next thing seems to be that as I move from one device to another to close and restart iTunes between each one. Treat it gently. It seems to break easily and a lot. -
I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!! Why is this? Does anyone have this problem?
When you report a problem you should always try to include as much relevant information as possible. Saying "it doesn't work, help me!" is not very helpful to us, because there could be a million reasons for it not working... What exactly happens when you try to convert a PDF to Word? Are there any error messages? How exactly are you trying to do it? Also, what operating system do you use? What version of Word? What exactly version of Acrobat? etc.

HT1918 request billing info by itune when I want to download a free application
I have an apple ID with choosing None for billing information when I was created about 2 years ago. from last week when I wanted to download a free applicatin by itune from App store, a message was appeared that said " You must verify your payment info before you can make purchases " while that apps is free and when I continued and went to my account and choose None from Payment Type again then the message came up and said " For assistanse, contact iTune Support at www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/." then the instalation was stoped. I tried to re choose my billing information with None option for many times (because I dont want to set any billing information regarding to my kids mis-using) by several devices like iphone & Mac Book Pro & Air but everythings was the same and my problem was remained. Please help me to find a solution that I can use my account like before when billing informations was not needed.

Right now I finished a chat with contact apple support by giving a code to me , he told me to read Terms and Condition of iTune and Apple ID and ... but I can't because I didn't any change on my account ( only I forgot my password before and then retrived it by the rule and know I have access to my account without any problem), I wonder how It may be appear when I used my account like before !? You can only download apps using the Apple App Store app. Use the App Store app, search for the app. If it is there you will find it and there will be a button to buy or if its free the button will say Free.
If it is not in the App Store you cannot download it. -

Same thing happened to me last week had to update than said some sort of error so it told me to restore I did that and it said restore couldnt be completed !! So I called my service provider and I had to press the circle button and the power button and hold for 15 seconds while still plugged in to the comp , than to try and restore and than update !! And it worked !! Hope that helps!!

I downloaded a book through iBooks on my iPad and it's not allowing me to view it, any suggestions.
If the book won't open then try deleting it from the bookshelf and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app and see if you can open that.

If you have an iPhone and have it set to keep the normal photo when shooting HDR photos the two image files that are created will be duplicates in a manner of speaking (same image) but there are only twp apps that detected the iPhone HDR and normal photos as being duplicates: PhotoSweeper and Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto. None of the other apps detected those two files as being duplicates as they look for file name as well as other attributes and the two files from the iPhone have different file names.
iPLM, however, is the best all around iPhoto utility as it can do so much more than just find duplicates. IMO it's a must have tool if using iPhoto.

I want to download a free app. When I sign in then I have to sign in again to iTunes. Then it wants my credit card information as it always does. When I fill it out it says I'm decline and try a different card. Why it do that when the app is free. When first started iTunes I had no problem downloading apps. Why now since I used a card a few times does it ask me for my card information everytime now. Can't download any free apps without being declined.

It sounds like you are trying to download a free app, and when prompted to enter a credit card it is declined. I would use this article to go into iTunes and change your payment method to None:

why when i want to download a free app from app store it asks for my apple id and when i give my apple id it then says "this apple id has not yet been used in the itunes store". i dont even know what that means and it will this happen everytime?
If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

I have purchased an app from the app store and cannot seem to download it, the download statrs and then rapidly cuts out, it will not complete and seems to repeatedly go over the same few Mb. I have previously downloaded large files and not had a problem with them.
I have tried restarting, checked my hard disk (and repaired a sector of the disk) and checked my connection but this seems to have no effect. I have also disabled virus protection and my firewall to see if this has an effect. I have also downloaded other (free) applications to test it since then and some of these download but not the larger ones. Has anybody else encountered this? Does anyone know how to solve it?Can you download large files from other places apart from the App store, wondering if it is the App store or your internet connection.
