I want to download a song that I already purchased but I cannot

I want to download a song that I have already purchased, but, when I look for it in the purchased category, it is not there. How can I download this song?

Open up iTunes then you do the following:
Go to the menu bar and click Store.
In the store menu, click View Account (your Apple ID). You will have to sign in.
Once you sign in, scroll down until you see a section that says iTunes in the Cloud.
In the iTunes in the Cloud section, look for something that says Hidden Purchases.
Click on the manage link beside Hidden Purchases
Click the unhide button that is at the bottom of the item that you have purchased.

  • How to download a movie that is already purchased but somehow missing from library? This is really frustrating.

Title tells it all, really frustrating. Forget about download icons, I cannot locate the movie I already purchased. If I goto iTunes store, it is trying to RESELL the movie I already purchased..

    Hello maxheap,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:

Make sure your signed into the correct Apple ID. If not it will not show up as an item to download.
    Best of luck,

  • How can I download a song that's already been purchased?

How can I re-download a song that's already been purchased, but for some reason, is not on my computer? Is there any way to do this? According to the iTunes Store, the song has been purchased, yet it can't be found under "Purchased" and the song is nowhere in my library. What's going on here?

    Hi Ichinenjuu,
You are looking in the wrong "Purchased" section (a bit confusing, I know). You need to click on the iTunes Store. Once there, on the right side you will see a Quick Links section - under that you will see Purchased. Click on that Purchased. A window will display with Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc. Click on Music, then on Songs. Also, at the top of the window, you will see All and Not on this Computer/Mac, click on All.
You should then see a list of all purchased songs, and any that are not downloaded currently will have a little cloud next to them. You can click individually on a particular cloud to download that song, or you can click on Download All at the bottom to download all that are not currently on your computer.
Post back if you have questions!
    Cheers,

  • Problem with downloading individual songs from an already purchased album to iPhone

    Hi All,
I'm having problems with downloading single songs from the "purchased" list onto my iPhone. I reset my phone and went to redownload my music, however i only want to download certain songs from different albums which in the past i've been able to do by navigating to the purchases section of the itunes app, then opening each album and selecting the cloud like icon by each song i want.
Having tried this today, i get the list of songs however the all have a "Purchased" next to them which is greyed out and the only way to download anything is to get the whole album. I've not got iTunes match on and can't think of any settings i've changed, can any suggest what i need to do to enable me to just get a selection of songs?

Actually Michael I know exactly how to delete.. The iPhone would not let me swipe to the left to delete the individual song, so I went to the album view and did it there.. The issue I am having is a bug because it removed 3/4 of the albums availablity off my iPhone.. You post proved no help because it is basic troubleshooting which, if you read my post, I have already done.. I did however figure out how to fix my issue on my own.. Basically I had to remove the album from my iTunes on my computer and upload it again to iTunes Match..

  • ITunes is not recognizing my new computer and not allowing me to download my music that I already purchased even though it recognizes my registered iPod.

I got a new computer and downloaded iTunes. When I tried to download music that I already purchased I got a message that my computer was not authorized although my iPod was plugged in and it was recognized. I don't see anywhere that I can register my new computer. Can someone help me?

    - You do have iTunes version 11 on the computer, right. Saying the latest is not sufficient.
    - Have you tried everthing here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - You should
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Your library/media will not be affected.

  • How can I download a song (that I jsut purchased) without losing all my other songs?

I just purchased a song this morning from iTunes, and I want to download it into my ipod nano without losing all my other songs. But if I go to hit sync on computer I will lose all my other songs that I have and just have the ones that are currently in my itunes. I just want to add a new song without losing all my other songs. Is there a way I can do this?

Select the iPod in iTunes.  Go to the iPod's Summary tab.  Check the box for Manually manage music.  When you Apply this change, you will no longer be using automatic syncing.  To load songs on the iPod, you drag songs from the iTunes library to the iPod.
But telling you this is odd, because if you already have songs on the iPod that are not in your iTunes library, you must already be using Manually manage music.
Also, you'll need to remember to eject the iPod (using the button next the iPod in iTunes) before you physically disconnect it.

  • HT1711 How do I get a album that I purchased already to show the whole album. After the lastest upgrade it only shows one song from the album. I tried repurchasing it but it says that is already purchase but will not re download. Please help.

How do I get an album from Itunes that I have already downloaded to show the complete album again. After the last update it only shows one song. I tried to re purchase the whole album but it will not let me cause I already purchased it. Pease help

The large text size makes your post almost impossible to read.
Excessive use of bold or capitals (also) makes posts difficult to read.
You can drag most of the column headings left or right, or right-click on the header to turn columns on or off.
Once you've used File > Display Duplicates or Shift > File > Display Exact Duplicates you can use File > Display All or the Display All button at the bottom of the list to restore the display.

  • How do i re download a song that i already download that dos'nt play ?

I Bourght the new coldplay album and it downloaded but my iternet droped out a few times it the middle
and 1 of the songs downloaded but every time i try to play it, it just skips to the next song. i went to the
istore to my purchased  but it say i cant downlod them again what should i do ?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH Pleazzzz hellllllp meeee !!!   this has been making me insane!

I don't know what country that you are in, but if it's Cambroon in Australia (or various other countries) then you should be able to re-download it for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 - but you may need to delete the song from your computer's iTunes first, otherwise it probably assumes that you already have it so there is no need to re-download it.
