    I must not have chosen a hard back book when I started my project of creating a photo book. when I go to buy the book it only allows me to buy the small soft cover book. How would one go about to chage the settings?

    What version of iPhoto?
    THe basic answer to duplicate the book as things may change when you change size, select themes again and pic the cover and  size you want -
    Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

  • I have CS3 for Windows but want to switch to Mac, how would I go about this?

    I have CS3 Design Premium for Windows on an old laptop but want to switch it to my new Mac, how would I go about this?
    Do I have to pay for an upgrade to CS6, then somehow switch the license then download to my Mac? Also, I'm a student so it would be a student priced upgrade.

    You can either upgrade or move to Creative Cloud. But since you’re a student an upgrade does not exist so just pick the student version you want and go with that.

  • Hey, I'm trying to authorize my new laptop with my iTunes account. How would I go about doing this?

    Hey, I'm trying to authorize my new laptop with my iTunes account. How would I go about doing this?

    Hi Michael1296,
    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    Here are the steps to authorize a computer in iTunes:
    How do I authorize a computer?
    Open iTunes on the computer you want to authorize.
    Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
    You might need to show the menu barto see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
    Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
    If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still use it to authorize your computer.
    If iTunes asks you to authorize your computer again, it won't use a new authorization. iTunes uses the same authorization for the same computer.
    You can find these steps and more information at this link:
    Authorize your computer using iTunes
    All the best,
    Jeremy

    You can either try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
    Or if the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I have a short homemade film burnt onto a DVD, I now want to import the movie into IMOVIE on my MacBook Pro so that I can edit it, how would I go about doing this? Welcoming any guidance.  Thanks in advance.

    I have a short homemade film burnt onto a DVD, I now want to import the movie into IMOVIE on my MacBook Pro so that I can edit it, how would I go about doing this? Welcoming any guidance.  Thanks in advance.

    1. Insert your DVD.
    2. Open Disk Utilities (Application> Utilities> Disk Utilities). Highlight your DVD and press "New Image" on the upper toolbar.
    3. Choose the location you would like to save your DVD from the drop down menu, "Desktop" is usually the best choice. Then click Save.
    4. When finished, your DVD icon will appear on the desktop with the .dmg extension.
    5. With iMovie open, double-click the .dmg  file you created to mount it. The iMovie import window will then appear asking you to choose. Click Import All and wait for the Import to complete.

    BUT the image didn't actually work and all I ended up with was the word JPEG and a generic image... Any assistance would be appreciated - Thank you.
    Sounds like you copied an icon from the icon spot in a Get Info window for an image file, then pasted that intoo the same spot in the Get Info window for your folder. As you found out, that won't work - unless the image file already has a custom icon, that is.
    Visually, it's hard to tell if an image file has a custom icon, particularly if View Options for a folder (or the desktop) has been set to 'show icon preview' - the OS will use Preview to make an icon for that file 'on the fly', but it does not really exist as far as being a copyable icon.
    For what you want to do, the solution is really very easy.
    Do a Get Info on the image file whose icon you want to copy for your folder. In that Get Info window is a larger depiction of the image about halfway down - double-click that, and it should open in Preview.
    Press Command-A (that's Select All in the Edit menu).
    Press Command-C (that's Copy in the Edit menu).
    Close Preview, close the Get Info window for the image file.
    Open the Get Info window for your folder.
    Select the icon in the upper left by clicking it once - a blue border should appear around it.
    Press Command-V (that's Paste in the Edit menu).
    Close the Get Info window, and you're done.
    Comment - that's a nice way to make unique folder icons, but there is one drawback: how to distinguish visually between a folder with such an icon and an image file.
    One way, old school, is to append the character ƒ to the end of the name you give the folder. That character is easily generated by pressing Option-F and can be a visual indicator that the item is actually a folder and not an image.

  • HT201272 I have OS 3.1.3 how do I go about Downloading past purchases from the App Store

    I have OS 3.1.3 how do I go about Downloading past purchases from the App Store?

    You can download the current versions of the apps from the store e.g. via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading. But you may find that the current versions require higher iOS versions than you have on your iPod - in which case have you not got copies of the older versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes or on a backup ?

  • How would I go about changing my harddrive to a SATA III 6Gbit/s drive?

    I want to replace my 250GB hard drive in my macbook pro from 2009. How would I go about changing it to a SATA III 6Gbit/s drive?
    Do I also need to replace RAM or anything else? What step should I take?
    Thank you!

    You can certainly install whatever drive you like, but your Macbook Pro is fixed at SATA II. SATA III drives will work fine, but only up to 3Gb/s (which far exceeds a rotational drive's read/write speeds anyway).
    In practical terms, if you want to copy your current system onto the new drive, you would need to buy an external enclosure (Firewire or USB2), install the new drive in that and format it Mac Extended using Disk Utility. Clone your current system over using SuperDuper.
    Make sure the new drive is named something different from the original drive to distinguish them when you restart. Test that it will boot by holding down Option as you power up the computer.
    Remove the new drive from the enclosure and install it using iFixit guides.
    If you don't want to use the files on your current drive, you don't need the enclosure, but it's recommended, so you can use your current drive as extra storage after you do the upgrade.

  • How would I sync MPEG4 videos to the iPad

    How would I sync MPEG4 videos to the iPad

    As long as they meet the iPad's supported video formats then you should be able to sync them via iTunes. From http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/ :
    Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
    If you can't get them into iTunes then you can use something like Handbrake to convert them into a supported format. If you can get them into iTunes but they then won't sync to the iPad then try Advanced > Create iPad Version in iTunes and then try syncing that version.

  • HT2470 how would i go about taking multiple files from documents and make them part of 1 master file

    how would i go about taking multiple files from documents and make them into 1 master file? I want to put all documents associated with this project together for easier access.

    From the finder window, click File, click new folder, you can drag all documents into that Folder making it the master folder. You can ajso drag folders into the Master folder, and have them as sub-folders if you wish to  do that. Either way they will all be in one master folder.

  • How would I be able to bring the GHz and memory up on an Air?  How can I make it badass?

    How would I be able to bring the GHz and memory up on an Air?  How can I make it badass?

    I should clarify a point ...
    Macbook Air solders memory onto the motherboard.  It cannot be upgraded.
    Macbook Pro has memory slots that allow SODIMMs (the memory cards) to be replaced, up to the limit of the motherboard.
    My 15 in MBP can upgrade to 16 GB.  But 16 GB for my machine is still $600 at cheapest.  I will be staying at 8 GB for a while.

  • How would you go about limiting file upload

    I don't need source code, just want to know if it's possible or how to go about limiting how many files a user can upload.
    So far
    I can limit what types of files get uploaded.
    I can limit how big those files can be.
    Is it possible, or how would you go about limiting how many files get sent?
    - When the user does a browse they can select multiple files.

    This is the best that I can come up with.
    Ripped from adobe cookbooks
    var fileList:Array = fileReferenceList.fileList;
    if( fileList.length > 4 )
        Alert.show("Too many files" , "Please try again with 4 or less files");
    else
       for (var i:Number=0; i<fileList.length; i++)
           var file:FileReference = FileReference(fileList[i]);
           arrayCollection.addItem({name:file.name, size:file.size, object:file})
