The site I want to use (azva.com) will only accept Firefox 3.0. I have version 5.0 and it doesn't work. I could not find version 3 to download.

- The 2G iPod can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. It does not have the hardware to support a higher iOS version.
- Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
- You can only download the current version from the App store.

I have a an older IMAC as a second computer. I replaced an older version of Firefox with the new update. I had to do this because Firefox gave me a message that the older version would no longer work. The new version 4.0 will not open even after it is put in the applications folder. The fafsa.gov site does not currently support Firefox newer than version 3.6.x. That is their choice.

You might want to consider extending the lifespan of your G5 by using a different operating system. I put [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lubuntu Lubuntu] on a G5 recently and it runs the newest Firefox just fine. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of an Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications to choose from, and it's all free.
The PowerPC I did this on was one of the old Bondi Blue ones. Firefox had no problem running on it at all and has all plug-ins needed for video, audio, etc.. I gave it to a church and it's running fine for them.
You can download old versions of Firefox, but you'll just open yourself up to security problems if you do.
FYI: The Mac operating system is built on Linux.
