I want to download pictures from my email straight to my IPad, is that possible.

I have the first version of the IPad without a camera. I would like to download pics from my email to the IPad to then upload to Facebook. I do not think that is possible without using ITunes as a "middle man".  So I am wondering if there are any applications that I can download pictures to and then Upload them to what ever I want.

If in Mail you download and view the photo, you should then be able to touch and hold the photo and after a couple of seconds or so you should get an option to save the photo - it will then go into your Saved Photos album in the Photos app. There are then a number of apps that allow you to upload to Facebook e.g. Photogene (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/photogene-for-ipad/id363448251?mt=8#) :
Photogene allows you to export several photos at once, and it supports a wide selection of export destinations, including Flickr, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, FTP and mail.
There may be free apps as well.

  • Why can't I download pictures from a flash drive to my iPad?

Why can't I download pictures from my flash drive to my iPad?

The USB Camera connecto (30 pin or lightning)r can read pictures from certain flash drives and imp[ort them to the iPad.
The pictures must be in a folder called DCIM and have a naming structure similar to what a camera would produce.  8 character names plus the 3 character extension.  ie. image001.jpg
Aside from that, some USB flash drives may require too much power which would cause the iPad to issue a warning.
How are you placing the images in the drive?
It the iPad issuing an error?
    What exactly are you doing?

How do I download pictures from my computer to another persons IPAD?

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

How can I download pictures from hard disk to ipad2

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that you can select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad.

  • HT4101 I have used my SD card reader with the lightning connector just fine until this awful OS 7 update! Now nothing works and all I get while trying to load pictures from my SD card to my iPad is that my device is not supported!

Anyone having the same problem with the new OS7? I can no longer load pictures from my SD card to my iPad using my adapter.

Are the card readers apple ones or knockoffs? Unfortunately iOS7 brought with it software that looks for the authentication chip in  the cables and docks. If the manufacturer got permission from Apple to make devices then it should be fine, but if the manufacturer didn't get apple's permission then their chip isn't recognized, generating that error.
If your connectors are Apple ones have you tried to reset your device? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds or so until your iPad reboots. Then try again.

  • Cannot download pictures from incoming email

This is happening when I use .mac webmail OR my email client at home. When I use webmail, I get a message that says: Unable to process your request. At home, it just tries and tries and nothing happens.
I have also tried to forward the email with the picture to another email accoung, and I cannot forward the message.
I can download the same picture using another email account without any problem.
    Is anyone else experiencing this?

This happened for two days, but works today. Strange, but glad it's fixed!

Whilst on holiday I downloaded pictures and video from my digital camera to my ipad. everything was fine. The digital pics and video footage played great! i have just got back and synced my ipad with my macbook and the video clips have been put onto the macbook but not reinstalled on the ipad. I get a message to say that the video clips have not been loaded as the ipad cant play them! Why has this happened? As i deleted the original clips off the camera once they were originally loaded onto the ipad i have no way of reinstalling them. Wat can i do to get them back onto the ipad?

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

How do I sync pictures from iPhone 4S to iPad Mini?

Connect the iPhone to a computer then sync the photos using iTunes.
Then connecgt the iPad and sync the photos.
There's an easier way. You can sync photos from your iPhone to iPad using iCloud via Wi-Fi. You get 5GB's of storage space for free.
