Permissions for Drop Box

I am trying to setup a drop box, on the server, for students to put work in so the teacher can read it. I have done this for years with 10.4 server but I do not seem to be able to set it up so students can put work in the drop box now that I have upgraded to Leopard Server. I set the folder up in the group folder and give it write-only permission for the group. When the student puts the document in they get the message about not being able to see the work. They then they also get a series of other messages that read, "You may need to enter the name & password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named __.doc,"I click continue & get, "The item ___.doc contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?" & finally, "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
So, how do I set up a drop box so that users who authenticate to the server are able to put items in the drop box. I was able to do this in Tiger.
I assume I am missing or forgetting some step. Help!

Can't figure out permissions for drop box

No matter what I've tried (probably the wrong things) I can't give myself permission to access the drop box on either my iMac(running Snow Leopard) or my MacBook (running Lion). Any ideas?

I have a Powermac G5 and a iMac G3 running OSX 10.3.9 and 10.4.3 connected to each other via a network cable and a Modem/Router. I can see both computers from each other but all i can see is the "drop box", how can i set it up so i can see the whole computer (desktop and hard drive etc)? It seemed so much easier in OS9.

Why is the "open-in" drop box only able to show 10 Apps?

I would like Apple to increase the number of Apps I can see in the "open-in" drop down box. The limit of 10 is not enough. I have a number of Apps that can open PDF files, however, I only use goodreader. Every time I upgrade good reader, another App slides into number 10 and I have to delete several Apps, goodreader moves up the list and then I have to reinstall the Apps I deleted! It's a real pain.
WHy would anyone of any intelligence impose a limit?
I have spent hours on Apples website but I cannot find any email address to send suggestion, can anyone help?

Shared Computer - Want Creative Cloud Application for single user only on Mac

Hi, the creative cloud icon appears in the menu bar for all users on our family mac. I only want it for my own user, not for my family users, because they are asked about CC user and password. How can I set it up so that it doesn't appear in the menu bar for the other users? Note: The menu "Settings" can only be reached when logging on to Adobe CC first - so this is not an option as they don't have such a user.

unfortunately the description on how to disable doesn't work (I found it already in the internet before).
- For my own user (and also when I'm logging on with a family user), the Creative Cloud App doesn't appear in the list of apps. (See screenshot).
- For other users, it the "Log In Items" (German: Anmeldeobjekte) doesn't even appear (see screenshot).

Can we define own short cut keys like shift+a for check boxes

My problem is that on a specific form i have 30 check boxes with the labels like c1, c2 c3 ...
The user wants as access key for every check box to rid of the mouse by checking all the items one by one.
Oracle developer access key option does not solve this problem . Is there any function in oracle by which i can define my own short keys like shift+1 for 1 and shift+2 for 2 .....

You can do this by using an ampersand (&) in front of the character in the Label.
The ampersand will not show up in the label itself.
For example, Print &Forms will define F as the shortcut. Print &Queue Manager will define Q as the shortcut.

Added a BASE Station now Drop box's don't work for wireless users

We have a small business run out of a large home. Since Tiger came out we were using the drop box networking technology flawlessly. But recently we installed an Airport Base station replacing our Linksys router and now all the laptop users who connect wirelessly cannot be accessed remotely, we can use the drop box only with the people hardwired. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Drop Box question

Hi,
It's a holiday on this side of the planet and so I can't call tech support.
I have Buffalo's Link Theatre which is compatible with Mac. How it should work is that I connect the folders I want to have access into the Drop Box and I access them on the Link Theatre. It's not working. My main source for Drop Box information is in the attached link. I was wondering if there were any tricks or additional advice anyone could give me.

I am not familiar with the Buffalo's Link Theatre and there appears to be a lack of instructions on the web for configuring it so you may need to supply a little more info, like what isn't working.
There are a couple of things you can check. First is your OS X Firewall on? If so try turning it off. Can you access the Drop Box from another computer and transfer files to it? I assume that the BLT has an IP address on the network and there is a way of getting that info from it in which case, on the Mac open HD/Applications/Utilities/Network Utility/Ping and type in <IP address of BLT> and click Ping. Hopefully you will get some data bounce back to prove it can be seen on the network. Alternatively you could use Angry IP from here http://www.angryip.org/w/Home to check your network

Enable trace for particular concurrent program

G/L A/C Determination for Drop Ship and Regular Ship of Same Item

Hello Friends,
We have a scenario,
Stock is Sales order valuated stock
For the same material, some times we do a drop shipment from vendor and some times we do a regular shipment from our plant.
Being sales order valuated stock the GL account (On the PR generated from sales order) for drop shipment is getting picked up from BSX. (standard SAP)
Our Finance team dont want the G/L account from BSX to be picked up.
Because the BSX G/L account is a finish good G/L account and we dont want to use that for drop ship.
How do we solve this issue?
What is the standard process to get the G/L account if the same material is drop shipped and regular shipped?
