I want to export all the screen text in a long video to a text document. Is there a way to do that without copying and pasting each item?
Fortunately, I still have the project ready at hand, so I can cut and paste each text window from there, but I do admire the creativity of your approach. I thought about making the desired document as a collection of still images without the video track removed, but I decided that would be too cumbersome for this purpose.
It still seems to me that there ought to be a way to access the text resident in FCP and turn it into a text file, but maybe this will have to written into the program as a feature. Probably, it would not be a high priority among all the other tasks on the wish list.
Thanks for your help. If I learn something interesting, I will post it for the benefit of others who might want do what I want to do now. Off I go now to cut and paste!

Maybe your goal is to stop then end user changing the component assignment that is automatically detected by the system. If so, personally I think a better starting point would be PP configuration or user authorizations rather than looking to change the screen by whatever method. As we don't know what you are trying to achieve it's hard to offer much more advice maybe all you need is to change transaction to CO02 -

Are the videos being stored in iMovie or another application? Have you exported/shared the video? If the video is in iMovie what version of iMovie are you using? My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. It still can be turned on and off. But the screen froze showing that message. I perhaps need to restore it. But is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?
Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

You don't need to worry. You won't lose photos when the 30 day trial expires.
Lr is different than other photo editing software in that it works with a data base (called the "catalog"). Lr does not write anything into the image pixels but stores everything that you do in Lr into its catalog (=data base). That way, when the trial expires your images will still be there, but - since you cannot access the Lr catalog anymore - your photos will be in the state they were before you imported them into Lr.
When you work with Lr you have to really understand the concept of the "catalog", if you don't you will come into very frustrating situations. The concept of "catalog" involves above all that you need to think of your images based on two different files that are in different locations on your computer. One is your image file (Raw, JPG, TIFF) and the other is the data entry written for this image into the Lr catalog. Lr constantly updates this catalog (without you having to hit <save>) and constantly combines the image file with the data from the catalog. From this follows the demand that you take care of the Lr catalog as much as you take care for your image files - by knowing where they are located on your computer and by doing regular backups.
Would it be worth the investment? In my opinion definitively "yes"! I work with Lr since version 1 on a daily basis and would not want to miss it. Lr gives you superior image editing possibilities (in the Develop Module) but - as already said - is also a superb image management tool. Lr will keep track of all of your images irrespective if they are on internal or external hard drives. With Lr you have all of your images available all the time.
But Lr has also a steep learning curve. You cannot just jump in and do things because you'd create havoc and become frustrated. There are excellent books but for starters I would recommend that you watch the video tutorials on Adobe's website. You learn from them easily because you see on your screen what the instructor does, where he clicks, where the different tools are, etc.

How do I export all the tracks from a certain portion of a session?
To be more specific, I have a session that is 30 minutes long. I want to export all of the tracks between minutes 2 and 3. The audio files need to be the same length, so my mixer can synch them, so any empty space at the beginning or end needs to be silence in the AIF or WAV file.
I'd prefer to be able to do them all at once, but would settle for doing them one at a time. Right now, can't do either...

Or cut globally at position 2min and 3min, then mute manually regions before and after the 2 - 3 minute range, bounce and get rid of the not needed silence in the audio.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Export all the reports currently stored in CMC
Our company's internal security policy prohibits us from connecting anyone's copy of Crystal XI to our production report repository (in CMC). We have to work on reports locally and republish them fresh in the CMC every time a report is changed.
We're trying to get all of our report files into a source control system to help with versioning, etc. Unfortunately the only place that we know has all the most current reports is the CMC itself. I'm trying to find a way to export all the reports from within the CMC to some folder or directory so that I can be sure I've got a copy of everything in production. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?Hi,
If I understand your query then you want to create a backup of the reports present in the CMC.
The reports present in the CMC is already backed up in the
<Installed directory>\Enterprise 11.5\filestore.
so if you keep the backup of the filestore folder you can get a copy of all the reports present in the CMC.

Is there a way in Pages to show and print all the added "comments?" (those you add by highlighting text) I am a teacher, and I would like students to be able to view my comments on printed versions of their papers. I know word displays the comments off to the side of the document, and those comments can be viewed all at once and printed alongside the document.
There doesn't appear to be a way to print conmments in either Pages or Numbers in the Mavericks versions.

I had toclear the hard drive of my computer and reinstall Windows 7. Now I want to transfer all the music and photos from my iPad back onto my computer. I authorized the computer (it is the ONLY computer authorized on this account - and this is the ONLY account on this iPad). ITunes then downloaded my purchases...or at least it tried - out of the hundreds of tracks I have purchased, it managed one album that I bought over a year ago and NOTHING else. So I tried to Sync - since on older versions of iTunes (that were SO MUCH MORE user friendly) that would do the job -transferring things that were only on the iPad onto the computer and vice versa. It doesn't do that anymore. So I went from my iPad's summary to the Music tab - the box for Music was not checked but when I checked it said the only thing it could do was erase EVERYTHING from my iPad and replace it with what was on my computer (that ONE album). What is going on?
Why hasn't iTunes downloaded my other purchases since I authorized the computer? (there are over 3,000 tracks...not 18)
How can I download my iPad to my computer?-Me again - it also won't upload the few new pictures I have on the computer onto the iPad without deleting all the photos that are already there....
