I want to format and restore

I want to format and restore my adobe software but I don't have my original serial keys from Photoshop & Illustrator CS5 & Lightroom 4. I hope there's a way to retrieve that info from Adobe?
Thanks
Eddie

The only way would be through Web Chat. You may have to have some proof of purchase.

I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!

An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. Following is a link with information on how to import the photos to a computer:  Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support

i have a problem when ı want to update and restore my ipad for ios5 : an error occurred while restoring this ipad (-10), what can i do??

Error -1 is not mentioned in this article about error messages during a restore process: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
    This one comes close:
The device could not be restored. An internal error occurred, or Error 3200: This indicates a network-connectivity or traffic issue. If you see this error, wait an hour or more and try again.

  • IPod is not working after being formatted and restored.

This isn't the first time this has happened to my iPod classic. In a span of about 5 months, I've visited the Genius Bar, and one has been replaced under warranty. Now, the newly replaced one has suffered the same things that the old iPod has experienced. One day, as I was syncing new music, iTunes suddenly froze and had to abort the sync, making me eject the iPod without the sync completing. So, iTunes deleted all of my data (music, photos, videos, etc.). Now, each time I plugged in my iPod following that, iTunes had always frozen, and did not let me access the Devices tab and restore my iPod. Then, having a PC, I formatted it to its default settings, seeing that my computer recognized the iPod and iTunes did not. A pop-up box came up saying if I wanted to fix the problem on the iPod, and I prompted to do so. It completed, and it said my iPod was fully functional. Soon after, it was recognized by iTunes again, and said that it had corrupted files and needed to be restored, seeing that the iPod was under the Devices tab once again. I did so, the restoration was completed, and iTunes said that once after the iPod restarted, it would appear once again under the Devices tab. But, however, it did not appear, after leaving it plugged in for about 5 minutes. iTunes froze again, and now the process begins all over again.
I have fully updated my iTunes, and I am using an HP Pavillion Notebook, under Windows 7.
I need help. I don't want to go back to make a reservation at the Genius Bar since the iPod is no longer under warranty, and perhaps I can fix it on my own. Will they  be able to fix it under no charge? What should I do?

Also, if I eject it from the folder where all Devices are on my computer, the iPod restarts, and the restoration process on iTunes starts all over again.

  • Every time when I shutdown my 24"iMac, it will start up with a corrupted HD need to be formatted and restored. Anyone has the same problem?

Every time after shutting down my 24" iMac, it will end up with a corrupted HD which cannot be fixed by disk utility and require to reformat the HD and restore.
I noticed the Mac OS journal format will turn into no journal. Does anybody have he same problem?

I have to ask; Are you using the Shut Down... menu item in the "apple" menu to shut down?  Does it shut down normally when you do?

  • I want to import and restore photos that I previously had in an older version of Photoshop Elements.

Is it easy to import and restore from an older version? '
    Any pitfalls?

If you're installing the new version of PSE on the same computer, and the actual photos have not been moved, the new version of PSE will find your old catalog and offer to upgrade the catalog to the new version.  Your old catalog will remain untouched -- the new version of the catalog will be a separate catalog.

  • Disk repair failed / should I reformat my drive / how to format and restore

I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 model and upgraded to Yosemite. The performance on my MB is ok, but just out of curiousity I ran a disk verify, and was told I needed to reboot, hold down CMD / R and run disk repair. I did so and the repair failed. I was promoted to backup and reformat/restore.
Now, I do backup everything using time machine (not sure though if Parallels image is backed up). I do not however have any install disks for Mac OS.
    My questions:
    1. Should I even bother reformatting my HD?
    2. How do I go about formatting the HD and then re-installing the OS and all of my apps, particularly given that I have no DVD
Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you

If you have extra external HDD, make clone backup with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!, then,
    1) boot from external clone backup drive.
    2) reformat internal HDD.
    3) restore from clone backup drive with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!.

  • Backup documents, formatting and restoring OSx

    Hello,
I own a macbook pro with Montain Lion and recently (even before the upgrade to Mountain Lion) most of the applications started to crash continuously. This happens for reliable applications like iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie and MainStage. For this reason I have decided to format my computer and re-installing the OS from scratch. Before to do that I need to backup my documents (iLife, FinalCut Pro, MainStage, etc). Where do I find the documents? For example where do I find all the iPhoto projects including calendars, slideshows? I have also backup from TimeMachine but I am afraid that if I will use it, it will restore also the messy files that are now the reason of the software crashes.
    Hope you can help me
    Thanks

You can do this from the Leopard installation DVD. Boot off of it and when you select your language you can then restore from a Time Machine backup. In the "Utilities" menu you should have an option there to restore from the Time Machine backup, and after selecting the source drive it will copy the most recent backup to your hard drive and reboot. Should be seamless and easy.

  • Format and Restore still no apps on iPhone

After a format none of my iphone apps were in my iTunes. I am using the same account info which is my .mac address. So I re downloaded the apps I had previously purchased and iTues would tell me the app was free since I previously purchased it. This is a good thing. But none of the apps are pushing to my iPhone. I have Sync All Applications checked. I did a restore on my iPhone to see if this would work but did not correct the issue.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I was able to correct the issue by deauthorizing the authorizing my computer.

  • N86 hard format and restoring / Memory issue

    Hello Nokia hello all,
I have an issue in my N86; after a simple restart I got memory crroupted in E:/ and external memory. and the phone doesnot working properly. I did hard reset according to the available instructions but it does not change anything.
currently I caanot store anything in the E:/ drive because I lost it after a few days, and also the external memory is crroupted and does not open.
    please your urgent help.
     best regards,
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Have you checked whether Nokia Suite upon PC gives you the option to re-install existing device software?
When you say "hard reset" was this *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user) or three key depressed power on reset until Nokia "Shaking hands" logo appeared?
As your N86 supports UDP = User Data Preservation you haven't restored possibly corrupt settings?

  • I bought a used iMac and I want to format and re-install the operating system however it didn't come w/operating system software.

I bought an iMac from a client and I'm concerned that the software that is on the system is not secure. I would like to remove everything and start with factory default programs and settings. The system is about 3-4 years old and there are no original operating system software discs.
How to I re-format the hard drive, and do I need to purchase an operating system for it?
    Thanks.

Your best bet is to call AppleCare and order a set of original OS X Install Discs, you will need a credit card and the serial number of the computer. If you don't know what version of OS X was on the system when it originally was purchased that is the best thing to do, otherwise you're shooting in the dark. The cost is going to be in the $30-40 range I believe.
You didn't complete your profile so we have no idea where you are located or anything about your system. You can use the following link to locate AppleCare's phone number in your country.

  • HT201559 My iphone 5s's screen is not responsive. I can't even restart the device. If I reset the device, will I have to do a back up or it will turn on normally? I don't want to backup and restore the device.

    I need help

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting.
If you can, back up the phone using iTunes on your computer:
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes
If the screen is still not responding after the reset, the next thing to try would be restoring the phone to factory settings, to rule out a software problem:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If still not working after that, the screen has a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced:

  • HT201250 If I install a new SSD, there is no recovery partition (Command-R at startup), will TM be able to format and install the OS on my 2011 MBP?

I have a new 2011 MBP that's still pretty clean application and data wise.  I have a new Vertex 4 SSD (256GB) to install and want to know whether I need to have that formatted before I install it or will I be able to use a Time Machine backup to perform the format and restore of the Lion OS X and applications?  Will I have to get an external SSD enclosure to format the SSD before I install it?  Despite the many threads...I am still a little confused as to the exact procedure to use.  Most of the threads say use the recovery partition (well if the SSD is new, not formatted) where does this recovery partion reside?  Please use the KISS principle when responding...

The only negative to not having the original drive will be the work needed to reinstall all the apps and reconfigure to your liking. You will also have to decide whether to stay on Lion (which you should update to 10.7.4, BTW) or bite the bullet and take a leap of faith on Mountain Lion.
In either case, to simplify matters you would do well to concoct a Lion or ML bootable installer on a USB stick. In either case, you need to get the corresponding installer downloaded onto the hard drive and, instead of running it to execute the install, extract the coveted InstallESD.dmg image from which you construct the bootable installer. See here for details: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17782820#17782820  The procedure applies the same to both of the latest cat flavors.
