I want to get a new ipod is there a way to transfer app data like completed levels to my new ipod

Its taken me ages to get where i am in some of those games!!

Yes.  Connect your current iPod to your computer and perform a back up of it via iTunes.  Then connect your new iPod Touch and you should be asked whether or not you want to restore from a backup of it or not.  See this article for more information.

  • If I have a lot of progress in a game on my iPod, but it dies and I get a new one, is there a way to transfer the data?

If I have a lot of progress in a game on my iPod, but it dies and I get a new one, is there a way to transfer the data? I've been playing a cool game for a while, but I think it might be time to get a new iPod. Is there a way to login with the same gamecenter account, and it will all be on the new iPod? Thx.

App data is not backed up through Game Center, but rather through iCloud. If you have an iCloud backup and you get a new iPod, after your games redownload from the Internet all data within the apps should be preserved.

Homesharing gives you the option of seeing only the content in the shared library, that is not already in your own library.

  • Easiest way to transfer contacts/data from old phone (5) to new (6 and 6 ). I did "back up to this computer" for both phones. After activation (verizon) do I just plug into iTunes? One phone is still using iOS7 (is that a problem?, other is iOS 8.1.

  • Is there any way to transfer photos, music from my PC to my new iPad(3)?

Is there any way to transfer photos, music, from my PC to my new iPad(3)?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • Is there any way to transfer my contacts from my Droid to my new I Phone 5C ?

Is there any way to transfer my contacts from my Droid to my new I Phone 5C?

It depends on how your conctacts are stored.
Assuming your Droid has an associated Gmail account and your contacts are stored in that gmail account, you can set it up on the iPhone through Settings->Mail Contacts & Calendars->Add Account->Other->Add CardDav Account
Enter your Gmail settings there. and the iPhone will download your contacts to the Contacts App. They will remain synced.
If they are not on Gmail, you would need to tell us how they are stored so we can offer a more precise suggestion.

  • Is there any way to transfer my music from ipad 3 to my new laptop?

Last Fall, I had a HD crash and lost everything on the PC.  On my iPad, I still have my music.  Is there any way to transfer all my music I have on my iPad and put on my PC?  Most of the music was from CDs.  I just haven't been able to figure out how to do it in iTunes.

  • I have had my ipod for about 3 years and do not have the computer my music was saved on, now its only on my ipod. I got a new computer, is there any way to transfer my music from my ipod to my itunes?

    see question

So what would happen if you lost your iPod or it was stolen?  Answer, all your music would be gone.
The iPod is not a storage device.
Do you have a backup of your media from your old computer?  If so, copy all your media from that backup to your new computer.
Otherwise, try searching the forums for an answer to your question.  This EXACT same question is asked and answered many times every day.

  • Is there a way to transfer media from one Apple ID to a new one?

    Hello everyone.
I have had one Apple ID that I have shared with my family. I have been the care taker of said Apple ID but soon I will be leaving for college so I wanted my parents to have there own ID. I had them set up an Apple ID and I am looking for a way to transfer all the media from my ID to theirs. I dont want them to purchase music and apps that I already own. Is this at all possible? If so, how?
    Thanks in Advance

You canot transfer the purchases from 1 Apple ID to another. I assume if you are leaving for college you will have your own computer or are they getting a new computer?
Any way if they are keeping the computer you originally used it will be authorised to play content purchased with your ID. They need to ensure that the computer is authorised with their new id. All your Apple content will still be playable.
For you new content you need to copy all the content from the old computer to the new content.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Then authorise your new computer with your Apple ID and you will all be able to play the content but your new purchases will now only show up on your new machine.

  • Can I move my daughter off my account by creating a new one for her and have all her apps/data/music/etc. move to her new account?

I want to split off my daughter from my apple account and set up her own.  Once she has her own account she would like to have her apps/data/music, etc. on her iPhone and iPad under the new account as it was under mine.  Can I set her up a separate account and then move her apps/data/music, etc., to her new account?  If so how do we do this and what are the dangers/pifalls of doing this (if any)?

You can migrate her to a separate iCoud account if you want, but existing purchased media (apps, music, etc.) will still be tied to the existing ID.  Purchased media is permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them.
If you want to move her to a separate iCloud account, you can do that and still continue to share the same ID for iTunes purchases.  The ID you use for iTunes does not have to be the same as the one you use for iCloud.  To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If she is syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to her so she can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in her new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your devices will not be effected by this), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your her account and choose Merge to upload the data.
Once you are both on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • Is there any way to transfer CS5 from current Macbook Pro to brand new iMac?

I currently have CS5 on my Macbook Pro, but I just bought a new iMac yesterday which I want as my main design platform.  I currently cannot find my CS5 disc or upgrade information, I can only find my original CS3 Design Premium Disc.  I still have the activation codes/serial number for both CS3 and CS5, so I'm very much hoping there is a solution to get CS5 onto the iMac?!?!
    Please Help!!!
