I want to get IOS 6.1.4 back
Hi everyone!
I have been having an Iphone 5 for year. I worked fine and great and so smoothly. I enjoy this device.
However I had installed few weeks ago IOS 7 and it worked worse than previous one.
1) an Interface is not smooth and does not look great.
2) inconvenient to call, answer. Fonts are so small
3) it works definitely slower than the previous IOS 6.1.4
4) 3G does not work sometimes
I have this brick now and see no difference between it and Android or BB
How can get the previous IOS back?
If I can't, I am going to support another companies like BB or samsung (buy theirs phones)
If didn´t know about or maybe even written Apple a Feedback already, you could and tell them what you dislike about iOS 7 or that you want to downgrade to iOS 6.

Right now, I feel like driving a nail through it.Me again. I cleaned out the headphone jack with a q-tip soaked with rubbing alcohol. Most of the q-tip fibre was removed to be able to insert it into the jack. After pushing and turning fairly vigorously for a half minute, I pulled it out and a large piece of pocket lint came out with it as well. The Ipod now sounds excellent.

I have apple macbook pro mid 2009 ... my hard disk stopped working and i had mac os 10.6.8 in it ... i bought a new hard disk drive but i didn't have my CD so i installed my friend's mac os 10.5.8 in the new hard disk ... i want to get my previous 10.6.8 back ... hope there is a way to do so

You can fully trust the itunes software checks: If it says yours is up to date, then it is .
"Up to date " does not necessarily mean you get the latest new OS , but the latest that was made for your device.. and there you are, in 4.2.1. And as every device that runs 4.2.1 as of today and gets that message :
your device can't have iOS4.3 or iOS5 because the hardware wont handle it. You are not one, but two versions behind ( 4.3 is very different from 4.2 and 5.0 is a complete new OS ).
Enjoy the device as long as it does its job. Backup all your apps. Future versions of apps will certainly not run on it any longer as more and more demand 4.3 or 5.0 . -

Unfortunately, it is not possible to downgrade the firmware on your iDevice.

After upgrading to iOS 7 how do I get (iOS 6) 3D icons back?
After upgrading to iOS 7 on my iPhone5 I was disappointed with the kindergarten quality 2D icons. It makes my expensive phone look like a toy.
I will put up with other issues with the new appearance & layout but there might be a way of switch back to 3D icons. If not it might be the end of iPhone for me too.
I wasn't able to backup my previous iOS 6 setup so I'm stuck with iOS 7.. or get a different phone.

there is no backward path to earlier iOS versions. Certainly not on an iPhone 6!
Make sure you have updated to iOS 8.1.1, as many have expressed satisfaction with its fixes of the earlier issues. If you have specific issues that persist after iOS 8.1.1, write a NEW Question with one topic at a time.

After formatting the partition and installing Firefox again, I wanted to get my settings, bookmarks etc. back by syncronising with Firefox Sync but accidentaly settings from a fresh browser was uploaded and now I cannot have the browser the way I used to have. Is there any way to reverse this changes?

First check that you still have data in your sync account.
Firefox button > Options > Sync > Manage Account
It should tell you how much data is stored in the account. Is there any?
If there is still data in the sync account then you can follow the instructions in this article [[What is Firefox Sync?]]. Refer to the 'How much of my data is synced?' section. Change the option to 'Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data'.
I hope that works for you.
If there is no data in your sync account you will be able to get it back by syncing from another computer. Just make sure that the settings on that computer are not replaced by the blank account again. You can use the 'Replace all other devices with this computer's data' option to prevent this.
Please note that Firefox Sync is designed only to sync details between devices not as an online backup tool. If you are formatting a partition it is generally best to backup your profile folder along with any other data. See [[Managing profiles]] for more detail.

Normally when I click on a pdf I would get an option to "Open With" or Save. I usually just opened pdfs first. I accidentally clicked on the Save option in this dialog box and now when I click on any pdf it automatically asks me where I want to save it. I want to get the "open With" option back, because I don't necessarily want to save a copy of every pdf.
Mountain Lion was released in 2012, so I suppose there might be advice in old threads or on the Apple forums if you don't get a response here right away.

If your iPhone can't be updated to a higher iOS version then the only way to get them is if you downloaded versions of them which were compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and you still have copies of those versions somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup - only the current version of each app is available in the store, and as apps (and other content) are tied to the account that downloads them, you will need to have older copies that are linked to your id
