I want to get rid of my iTunes files

I'm trying to free up my internal hard drive space by putting all of my itunes files on an external hard drive (EHD). I copy/pasted all of them onto my EHD, and deleted the original files from my internal hard drive. I opened iTunes from my EHD once, and it was fine. However, once I opened iTunes from my hard drive (without my EHD being plugged in), there was my entire library. How can I make all my files STAY on my EHD, and only my EHD? I've tried turning off the "automatically copy files to itunes" option, and it still didn't work. I've thought about removing iTunes entirely from my internal, but I'm a little gun shy. Would that work? I'm open to other options as well. THANKS!

In your iTunes preferences, did you point iTunes to the location of the music folder on the EHD? iTunes>preferences>general tab. Also, there are 2 database files associated with iTunes that must stay on your system's HD as that is there home the .xml & .itl files. Even after you do this, you will need to remember to boot up the EHD prior to opening iTunes on your system or iTunes wil revert the music folder location back to the main drive. If you forget, simply close iTunes, start the EHD, then re-open iTunes. Hope this helps.

Please do not delete any files from the HDD without having a current backup.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you've "deleted all old libraries." Can you explain that?
If all you are wanting to do is empty the iTunes library of all music, video playlists, etc. the easiest way is to quit iTunes and, in the Finder, go to ~/Music/iTunes and simply move the .itdb, .itl and .xml files to the trash. Launch iTunes again and the library will be empty.
You should be prompted to add content, so you can let iTunes scan the HDD if you like.

This abysmal excuse "Always have been built in apps" is irrelevant. NOTHING should be tied to the OS of even

The Cloud by the song indicates that is is an iTunes purchase but it is not downloaded on the iPod. If you only want download iTunes purchases to show in the Music app go to Settings>itunes and pp Store and turn off Show aLL.

No. You must use a computer to sync and update both devices via iTunes on the computer. The iPad2 cannot replace the laptop for syncing purposes.

Typically you can delete content on the iPad one of two ways - swipe across an item in list view to bring up a red delete button or tap and hold down on an icon to bring up an X to delete option.
Why dont you connect your iPad to your laptop and transfer the purchases and then select exactly what you want to sync to the iPad. You don't have to delete anything this way.

I suddenly have a "Bing" screen when I sign onto Firefox---and I want to get rid of it. The support section of Firefox says
1. "From the menu at the top of the Firefox window, seledt Tools and then select the Add-ons menu item."---but I see no "menu item" nor Tools, much less Add-ons.
2. "In the Add-ons window, click on the Extensions panel."---but how do I find the Add-ons window?
3. Find the Bing Bar and Search Helper Extension in the list and click Disable for each of them."---but what and where exactly is that?
At the top of the screen is only a Yahoo icon on the left and to the right of it a search box, "Web Search,", "My Apps," Yellow Pages," "Weather," "Updates," and "Skype." to the right of those there is a green cross saying "Add more apps. to your toolbar" and to the right of that a sort of gear shift looking icon saying "toobar settings."
So, in short, how do I get rid of the Bing screen and how do I access those Tools?

my brother doesn't deserve to be the default admin and i want to get rid of this privilege. how do i change my account to the default admin without having to sign in as an admin account or having to put his admin password?

As ZigZag pointed out, only an Administrator can Add another Administrator account or assign administrator privileges.
Maybe ask very nicely for administration privileges ;)
