I want to go back to the old fir fox before 4.0

To many problems with 4.0 as in no lock at the bottom of my banking page, and java not working on one site I need for work. I would like to go back to the old Firefox.

If you want to add a padlock icon to the location bar, you can use the Padlock add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/padlock-icon/
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Everytime i close a web site, and reconnect to the internet, instead of going to homepage it goes back to the site i had been on, how do i get it to go to homepage

Even though I followed directions to make yahoo.com my homepage, by clicking and dragging to home and clicking yes. When I browse the web and then close out to desktop and then click on firefox web browser, instead of going to homepage it redirects me back to the web site I had been on when I logged out.
How do I stop this and get it to take me to my home page?

Try changing firefox to the default browser: [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_Your_Default_Browser]. That will probably get firefox to open when you dial up.

HT204406 I let my match subscription go because I was having a lot of problems with it. I re-subscribed and it reset all my database of music back to when I last had match. How do I fix this?

I ended up letting my itunes match subscription go because I was having a lot of problems with it. I was getting a lot of music where it would play the censored version instead of explicit like I have. After attempting numerous times to fix I gave up and let match expire. I had updated my library by downloading a number of AAC versions from itunes and then manually deleted all of them and added the proper files back by re-ripping my CD's again. I also added a bunch of new music and because I use a rating system, re organized all my music and rated some stuff with new ratings and higher star ratings.
About 3 months passed and I decided to give match another try. After getting it, I found it odd that my database was put there in virtually no time. Not only that, a significant amount of music I deleted (but was in the old match subscription) showed up. I knew it was broken at that point, but today, I was listening to music and items which I know have been updated and changed, have also reverted back to old settings. Is there a way to fix this?
Also, I'm REALLY annoyed with match again. After all my work, I STILL have censored music as my match music. It is really annoying to have different music on my computer than what is in the cloud (not to mention the music which will not upload to the cloud and just constantly says "waiting"!!)

I had problems when I updated to iOS 5 (lost all my apps - a few of my friends had the same problem) and when there was an update to iOS 4 (camera wouldn't work). The iOS 5 issue was sorted by backup (but I lost the app data) but for the iOS 4 issue I had to return my iPod to get a new one.

There has to be a reason for that which a crash report should reveal.

AOL used to change stuff all the time, always for the better so they said so why did they lose all their customers. You get used to a format and you don't want it changed. I just cancelled my Acc., with Ameritrade and went with E-trade because they just did this stuff enough is enough.

I don't know if this would even work, but it seems I remember reading somewhere, that to get an older version of Safari, to reinstall Safari from the CD that came with your computer. The Safari app., should be in one of the folders shown on the CD disk. Also, since no one here has answered your question, you can try looking for the answer on Google. Windows can not identify that an iOS device is in recovery mode. Only iTunes can identify that.

I want to go back to the last version

I dont like this new version. Things pop up when they are not supposed to (and yes I have checked all the items on "tools" that I want or unchecked those I dont) and all my cut copy paste etc etc buttons are nowhere to be found even though I "add " them to the tool bar, still nothing. I cant function like this and want to go back to the old version, but I keep being redirected to the new one Help !

You want to go from Firefox 4 to Firefox 3.6? (I ask because your post's System Details mention Firefox 3.5.)
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4, and uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Then finally you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!
