I want to install a video card PALIT Super JetStream 960 in my computer HP PRO 3500

My HP has this configuration: Intel i5 3470 3.2 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 8570
8 Gb RAM.
I want to install PALIT GTX 960 Super JetStream (http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2440)
Unfortunately I do not know the model of my motherboard, msinfo32 says that motherboard made by Foxconn, but i don't know model. May be you can help me? Apparently there used form factor mATX, right? I want to change case, power adapter (now i use 300 W, this videocard requires minimum 400W) and videocard.
Also i dont understand which case i use miniTower or microTower?
Please help!!

  • I want to install dedicated video memory/graphics

I want to install dedicated video memory. I have macbook pro 13 inch late 2011 model with intel hd 3000 graphics. If not possible can i install additional ram and dedicate it to video graphics.
I want to play games like GTA 4 and other semi high end games that require dedicated memory cards.
    Please tell me a fix.
    [email protected]

I just bought this perhaps wont sell it ever, Saved a whole lot money for a year for a macbook. I wanted to use final cut and stuff,
I read that if you upgrade the ram to 8 gb you may get something like  512 mb of video dedicated memory, currently it is 384.
Guess, I made a somewhat okay choice.
and glad that i did not go for sony or other brand, coz mac may be a lil expensive, but it is an experience in its own.
like th feel of operating system , and everything is so coll, the multitouch pad, is so convenient.

  • I want to upgrade my video card in my HPE H8-1020 - It is a Eyefinity Radeon HD6570

I want to upgrade my video card in my  HPE H8-1020 - It is a Eyefinity Radeon HD6570.  I want to upgrade to a professional monitor for photo editing and would like to know what is available?

    Jimg-evv, welcome to the forum.
What is the make/model of the monitor that you want to buy.  I will provide the information for you, but it would help me to know more about the monitor.
You can upgrade the video card.  However, most mid-level cards require at least 400W to operate properly.  The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W.  A card that would work for your needs would require a PSU upgrade, as well.
I recommend at least 500W; 600W would be even better because it would allow for future upgrades.  I like OCZ and Corsair PSU's.
You would need a PCI Express x16 video card.  I like XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  If you upgrade the PSU, this card should work for you.

  • Can't install a video card

Built a PC w/KT6 delta mb a week ago. Have been unable to successfully install a video card. Tried ATI 9600SE first. Took that back and got a Diamond S90 w GeForce FX 5200 123 8xAGP. Loaded new chipset drivers and used up to date NVidea drivers. Screen goes blackafter Windows 98 intro screen. Any ideas? I've reinstalled WIN98SE 5 3 times.....no luck.

I had the same problem with new video card in Win XP (and I think this may apply to Win 98 also).  I am using a KM2M board with built in video.
After installing drivers for new video card, boot into windows with monitor still attached to built in port.  Go to Display Properties (Where you setup screeensavers, etc.) and go to Settings.  Set Windows to use your new video card by default and Apply.  Screen should go blank.  Move monitor cable to new card video port and Windows will return.  Set resolution, etc. to desired levels.
P.S.  Wonka needs to just tell everyone to get a 400 watt or better PS to solve all problems. Then we poor wogs won't be chastised every day about PS specs.

  • Want to install another graphical card on my Satellite A20

    Hi there,
I want to install another graphical card on my SA20 - S103.
At the moment it is the standard Trident card that is running.
Is it possible to install a gforce or radeon chip?
If yes, which one would be the best?

    Hi Stefan,
Sadly I don't think it will be possible to replace your Trident graphics card with another because it is an integrated design which is using shared RAM. In effect your graphics card has been specifically designed to fit in your notebook and finding a similarly designed card from another manufacturer would be virtually impossible.
Unlike desktop or tower PCs where the graphics card is a separate device which can just be unplugged and replaced, the graphics chip in your notebook is usually integrated into the design in order to save space.

  • Installing a video card

what is the right order to install new video card ?? is it like this :
    install
    1. AGP SIS DRIVER
    2. original software from VIDEOCARD CD
    3. install directX
    4. install DETONATOR

This is what I would do for 98.
Uninstall the device and drivers and reboot. let 98 install the standard VGA drivers after the restart.
Run the Detonator Destroyer found at Guru3d.
Shutdown replace old vid card with new and restart, then install the detonators recommended for the new card.
As far as direct x I do not know what version you have but youy can do that before or after.

  • Not install the video card driver

Please help solve the problem, HP Pavilion dv6 6051-er Why not install the video card driver or a video card is burned? When I install a video card driver Radeon (TMM) HD 6770 in a few seconds during the installation screen is black and so is, download the drivers from multiple sites from off site and others, please: help solve the problem.

    that´s a strange problem.
Maybe the agp-slot somehow is faulty since you ran into problems with booth cards.
Have you visually check mainboard for any signs of bad capacitors, agp slot interface etc.
PS,  seems like you do the driver install about the same order as me
    - Win XP + all updates
    - DirectX
    - Inf driver
    - Vga driver
    - rest......
If the problems occured on a regulary basis when playing games etc, then it could be some heatingproblems or to weak psu, but that don´t seems to be the problem for you.

  • Will this video card and power supply work on my computer? HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop PC

I have a HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop PC, will this video card and power supply work on my computer?
    Video Card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8379339&sku=A455-0760
    Power Supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4668507&sku=C13-2511
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

It is unlikely that the power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop Computer. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.
There is a chance that the GTX 760 and other current generation video cards may not work in your computer. These newer cards typically require the computer to support the most current UEFI standards and many motherboards don't meet this criteria. Please know the return policy on any video card you purchase, in case it doesn't work. If the GTX 760 doesn't work, consider the GTX 650/660 Ti or equivalent AMD graphics card for your graphics card needs.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

  • I want to install Mavericks on my new SSD before putting it in my MacBook Pro, is this possible?

I want to install Mavericks on my new SSD before putting it in my MacBook Pro, is this possible? If so how can I do it. My MBP can run and is running Macericks now on my HDD. I do not want to transfer my file, I would prefer a fresh install on my new SDD.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Connect the SSD with an external enclosure. Boot the system holding down the Command and R keys to get to the Recovery partition. Partition and format the drive with Disk Utility, then install. You're done.

  • My hp m8100n freezes so I want to replace the video card

I bought this computer a few years ago and lately it's been freezing a lot (pretty much freezes 5 mins after I turn it on). It's to the point where I have to press the power button and turn off the computer.  I'm actually not sure why but this tends to happen when I'm trying to watch videos online or just playing games (even solitaire).  I've updated all the drivers from the website and that doesn't seem to work.  I read on some forums that this is a problem with the video card so I want to replace it with another computer's video card but I know nothing about computers.
I'm wondering if anybody could tell me if I have to know anything before I go and plug in another video card. I know the m8100n video card is on the motherboard, do I need to disable it before I install the new card? or can I just put this one on?  I just don't want to break the computer.
The video card is ati radeon x1600 pro 256 mb and I'm pulling this from another computer in my house (that comp's dead so I'm pulling parts out and using it in other places).

    Hi,
    Many things can cause freezes.
If you are using a wireless keyboard and/or mouse then replace the batteries.
You might be having a heat issue.
    Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any.  You might want to buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the CPU heat sink and the system fan.  Plug your PC back in and give it a go.
Don't install the ATI Radeon x1600 pro 256 mb video card as it needs a bigger power supply compared to the 300 watt power supply in your PC.

  • Just installed Blackmagic Video card now I have no BUILT IN audio

Hey all, I just bought a video card today. Blackmagic SP. I installed it, downloaded the driver. my problem is this, I just want to here the BUILT IN audio from Mac. I dont need the card at this point. However, in preferences, when selected, I cant here any audio for BUILT IN audio.
I don't know the answer on this one.
    Any help appreciated

I just want to here the BUILT IN audio from Mac.
Do you mean while working with FCP or did it shut down the audio of all applications?
...However, in preferences, when selected, I cant here any audio for BUILT IN audio.
So there are 2 places to toggle.
In your mac's Systen Preferences > SOUND > Output you can select where audio from all your applications go.
In FCP: Menu > View > Audio Playback you can select your audio output (default is Follow Video. So when your video output is the Blackmagic, your audio will automatically be also). Set this to Built in. Be aware though that when your video is soming out of the Blackmagic and the audio from Built in, that the audio will be off sync.

  • K9N2 Diamond no video after installing second video card

Hey everyone , I hate to sound desperate but I Need Help fast Please!! I have a lot of work to do on this system tomorrow , I really do not want to use this old PC I am on now.
First off let me say that I have had this board for about a month (maybe longer) and besides a slight power down issue it has been Rock solid and runs everything.
but my problem started tonight when I went to install a second video card that I bought , I had a 9600GT as a second card but it never made it into this build because my kids needed a video card for their PC so pay no attention to the 9600GT in my system config list. Again I have only ever had a single GTX260 installed in this system.
but I finally got an 8600GT (for PhysX only) and installed it tonight after downloading a driver form Nvidia , system was working fine , but after installing my 8600GT in the second PCI-e slot I powered up to NO VIDEO , so I figured I would have to reset CMOS to set the video cards or something so I powered down tried resetting that and restarted , still NO video.
So I removed the 8600GT PhysX card and restarted again and still NO video , so I tried the onboard VGA plug and still NO video.
I then tried to remove the battery , reset the CMOS (no power to the computer at all) and put everything back and still NO video!!
I must say I am at a loss here , shouldn't the "Clear CMOS" button actually clear the CMOS and boot the PC to default settings?? I simply do not understand this problem. what can I be doing wrong?
    Things I have Tried:
    all video ports Including onboard
Clearing the CMOS by holding down the button for 30 seconds several times
Removed the battery and pressed the Clear CMOS
    Removed 1 stick of RAM
    Video card in different slots
Powering on and off several times
PS: My 4 green lights are now from the top when they were al green before:
    Green
    Green
    Red
    Green
Please thank you for any help

Looks like time to take it all out of the case and give things a test run on the table top. Take it all apart down to the bare MB and start from scratch and see what happens.
Thanks for the reply Henry , I can try that as my motherboard tray comes out easily but I have a question , what is this supposed to accomplish? if this motherboard won't run in my case its useless to me. I think what I am going to try first though is a 9850 BE CPU to eliminate a bad CPU , and I must get the info off my HDD as it did not complete a backup last night due to this video thing , that is my main concern right now. I have had this case for 2.5 years and hav had 2 ASUS motherboards in it , it is very well grounded/proven. But I will try anything.
Quote from: Bas on 04-June-09, 14:09:16
Try with 1 strick of memory in the slot next to the cpu.
Thanks for the reply Bas , I already tried that last night and it did not work , I also tried 2 different video cards in ALL PCI-e slots and a single RAM chip in slot #2.
NOTE to BAS , your suggestion to turn off the WOL setting on my 2 nic cards in another thread worked all day for me yesterday , thank you for that suggestion.
Is there ANY other way to clear the CMOS other than with the push button and the battery out?
thanks guys , I'll try another CPU tonight and see if that works , if not I will try to RMA or just junk the board as if I cannot get it to post its useless.

  • Are there any issues when installing two video cards in the same pc?

    Hello
I am using Premiere CS5 with a quadro 4000 card. I have two Eizo's monitors attached to the quadro 4000 via the display port. Everything is working fine. I need to connect a plasma screen to my pc (3 monitors total) for viewing red files. I could use the red rocket to export video to the plasma screen but it would be nice if I didn't have to install another driver other than the quadro 4000 nvideo driver. My question is, will having 2 video cards installed in my pc cause any problems? If it will, I will have to use the red rocket for the third monitor. Thanks
    Bill Martz

    Only three obvious drawbacks, provided you have a free PCI-1 16x slot available;
    1. You may need a much more powerful PSU.
    2. You need to improve your cooling significantly.
    3. You need to buy an extra card.

    You're very welcome.
There are fanless models of that card too if you want, but the heatsinks are pretty big...
As long as you have the space inside and the heatsink won't affect any other cards you may have added, one of those will work fine too.  No noise and no fan to conk out on you.

    Hi,
Most PCI-E 3.0 cards are backwards compatible with PCI-E 2.0 slots.  However, in order to get PCI-E version 3 you need to be using an Ivy Bridge processor.  Review these specifications for a typical NVIDIA GTX 650.
