I want to install Adobe Flash Player & Firefox won't allow it - how do I get around this?

I need to allow Adobe Flash Player to be installed

Uninstall that old Shockwave Flash 9.0 r16 program first.
Then do this: Download the Flash setup file from here: 
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. 
Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, 
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Unable to install adobe flash player/firefox/

hours of work alone and with amazon support and still unsucessful at installing adobe flash player. Message says it has been successfully installed, but every t ry at using amazon prime's streaming video gets message it is not installed.
Read that it cannot be straightforwardly installed on Windows 7 operating system when firefox is the browser.
I hope someone can provide me with clear, straightford ward directions about how to do this. Think of telling your grandmother how: mini steps, where to look for the icons or directions you are talking about. single click or double....
Trust me, I worked with an Amazonll technician for over one hour, tried to install aat least 20 times and failed (remember it "tells me" it has been installed, but it ain't working)
So, what are the secrets?

Help! I am in a site that keeps telling me that I must install Adobe Flash Player before it will allow me to go further but my computer says that it is installed. What do I do?

What is wrong with my computer or is it the program site that I am in? It keeps telling me that I must install Adobe Flash Player but Adobe says it is installed and up dates do not apply. What browser are you using? So you have a website pulled up and it is a full screen flash player trying to play or is it a area of the page with a player claiming on the player to install flash?

2. Check your add-ons or extensions, depending on the browser for what they are called. Make sure Flash Player extensions are enabled. That allows it to play within a webpage.
3. Check your Flash Player settings itself. There are settings where you restrict, approve, and so on in different ways. The link I shared with help guide you.
4. Check parental settings. My son plays on this parental control software that always restricts the Flash Player with his games, or videos on Disney, Nick, and other channel websites.
5.I used to have a computer that claimed this all the time. It drove me crazy. I found out for that computer that it did not like an update so I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player. I made sure the Adobe page showing the Flash Player was reinstalled correctly came up, then closed all my browser pages, then reopened to make sure not permission spot popped up to ok for future use.

Trying to instal adobe flash player & firefox says theres missing plugins but when I try to install them it says no suitable plugins found so I can't install AFP

I've been having problems with my internet timing out when I try to access pages & firefox says I may have an old version of adobe flash player which is unstable so I've been trying to install a new version. Firefox then says theres missing plugins but when I click on the install missing plugins button it says no suitable plugins were found so I don't know how to get it to install AFP

Try this simple fix... I just got it to work...
First visit [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html] download and run the flash player uninstaller.
After that I simply ran the standalone flash player installer to be found here... [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe]
This fix doesn't solve the auto-update issue in Firefox, but at least your Flash will hopefully work again in Firefox until a more permanent fix is made available from Mozilla...

How can I stop these persistent "website wants to install adobe flash player" but its installed

My computer keeps asking me to install the Adobe Flash Player and then when I try, I am told it is already installed. I have tried every solution I've read about and I'm at the point of returning the darned computer. Brand new, Win 8 os Lenovo.

Verizon incredible blocks the install as it is not downloaded from the market, how can I get around this?

Verizon Droid Incredible running android 2.1 will not allow the install as it was not downloaded via android market. Is there a way around this, or is there a version in the market?

HT2518 How do you reset the password on a migrated user account? Mac wants the old password putting in before we can set a new password and the old password won't work. How do we get around this?

Used Migraton Assist to transfer data from old Dell PC onto new Macbook Pro. Data has come across but cannota access the User Account from the Dell. It is displayed on the desktop of the Mac but is requesting and new password. Before we can reset the password we have to put in the old password. We have put in the old password but it doesn't work and therefore we can't reset the password and get into the User Account.
How do we get around this problem so that we can access the User Account.
Although the data has transferred we cannot see our contacts transferred from Outlook into Mail. We are wondering if they are contained within our User Account, but can't find out until we can access the it?
Help wold be much appreciated.

Installing Adobe Flash Player Update 10.3

This is my fist time here. I have a HP Pavilion Windows XP computer. My access to the Internet is only through the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.
When I try to play a video connected to a news story, etc, I get this small box asking if I want to install Adobe Flash Player Update 10.3. When. I click on yes, I get another box saying I have to close Mozilla Firefox. Well if I close that, I have no Internet connection. Sort of Catch 22. Don't know why Adobe wants me to close my Internet connectiion and then to try to install its software. Not doable as far as I know.
Are recommendations for dealing/resolving this situation?

You're posting to the wrong forum. This forum is about Acrobat on the
Windows platform, not about Flash.
However, usually the internet connection is not dependent on the browser.
You have an internet connection and you just use the browser to access the
internet, so there shouldn't be a problem downloading and installing Adobe
Flash even with Firefox closed.

I have Windows 7 and my laptop is fairly new. everything I using on the web tells me I need the update for Adobe Flash Player-birthday cad sites and such... So I install it but instead of just finishing step 3 - install complete - I get an advertisement for an additional application for $9.99 a month - which I have no need for so I just close that tab window.... I've tried restart, shut down, and a few other things but to no avail.... go to the site I want to send from and I get the same update message - but no viewing of the card or product I 'm looking for.... anyone know what I need to do?
I've search it out through Finder and it is in there in applications all of them (apps) from 2007 to 2015 - something isn't right.... right?

The big Step 1 button that says Install doesn't install anything. It downloads the installer to your Mac. Note that Step 2 tells you what to do next:
To proceed, open your download folder and locate the Adobe Flash Player Installer file, named like "AdobeFlashPlayer[xxx]_install.dmg”.
The file you'll find there should be named:
AdobeFlashPlayer_17_ta_install.dmg
Double click the .dmg file to open it. You'll see this:
Click the "Install Adobe Flash Player" package. When the installation is done, you can close this window and dismount the .dmg file by putting the "drive" icon that appeared on the desktop in the trash. You can then delete the .dmg file as you no longer need it.
The Step 3 Adobe shows is completely pointless.
