i've been trying to use MFFPortable for several days and am as confused as hell whether i'm in FF or FFPortable
FFPortable says their product is sooooooooo easy to install; they don't say it is easy to use with confidence
can i just install FFPortable on an external (thumb) drive as seems to be its intention and purpose for security reasons without any parts of MozFireFox on the computer hard drive ?

You can copy the contents of your regular Firefox profile into your Firefox Portable profile folder. This way you'll have all your regular data like bookmarks, saved passwords, cookies, and so on.

If you don't then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

You got it downloaded and I assume you mean it is installed as well. It was buggy for me.
I had to close and restarted iTunes before I could use it properly.
Then, I had to unplug and replug in my phone before it recognises it.
Just had to try everything. As final choice, update over the air. I try to avoid it as it tends to have more problems than a tethered update.

When downloading adobe flashplayer it won't install and tells me its because its "not a valid install package" 207

I'm not sure whether you've tried the usual starting points. In the newish 3-Bar(hamburger) Button, click on customise and search in the palette for the icon. If it is there drag it to one of the toolbars.
If not, see if it is stranded on the not-showing Add-ons Bar. Right click on a toolbar space and check Add-ons Bar if it is there. The bar will show at the bottom of the screen and may have some icons on it. Those icons can usually be dragged up to one of the top toolbars.
Recent reviews of this Add-on don't look encouraging.

Newest flash player installed but window keeps popping up saying I need it installed

I have tried over and over again, installing, uninstalling the Newest Edition of Adobe Flash Player. Even though the icon shows up in my programs listing saying its in the computer and that the installation was complete, I still get these small windows showing up stating I need to install the latest flash player when I want to view certain videos. Is it in the computer or not? Help!!

I have a Compaq Presario F700 32 bit computer with Internet Explorer 9 as defaullt browser. I have been having issues getting the flash Player to work....it keeps coming up that I need to download the Flash player when I try to view a video online,like off the weather channel or You tube. It IS in my program list when I open up Programs. sometimes videos come up, other times not. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, uninstalled it again and again, the screen says that it installed successfully but the window still pops up saying I need to install the newest edition. I have been having issues with my computer after updating a PC cleaner ARO2012, but this download is taken out now, Also when I put a recent update on the Weather channel, the computer froze up, otherwise it was doing pretty well yesterday. It seems like I have a problem with updates from companies, I noticed it twice that the computer froze up soon after.
Also I removed recent downloads thinking that was the problem but the issue still remains. I have done everything that Adobe had instructed in regard to trying to fix this. Even my Microsoft Fix it comes up with errors and I cannot run it. I am beginning to think that my computer is just old(over 5 years) and the downloads are being affected by my hard disc drive not working properly. I did a disc check and one time it stated I had a corrupted Disc C. But then on Startup repair it claimed to have deleted or fixed the problem. I get blue and black screens popping up on my computer often, saying that the program had to close to protect the computer. So I don’t know...I did everything possible. when I go onto the Adobe website.....that little screen they ask you if anything shows up on it to determine if Adobe is installed? I'm trying to apply for FASFA student aid. When I click on the "apply now" button the "An Incompatible Browser Has Been Detected" page displays. The Mozilla Firefox requirements for Windows 7 is the 3.5.x and3.6 x version. I had already downloaded the 5.0. Have probably made a mess of things, I think I disabled the 5.0 but need the 3.5x etc. to be able to complete the FASFA form.

You could install the portable Firefox version 3.6 to avoid a conflict with the newer version. If you can contact the person running the page itself, you could advise him that Firefox is now up to version 6, and version 7 will be available soon.

Trying to help friend. They returned from vacation. When she tried to start FireFox, the only thing it shows is a black screen. I updated her version and tried. Same result. Ininstalled FireFox from "My Computer. Downloaded FireFox and installed. Again same result. FireFox starts but after a very bried second where it show 2 blank boxes then the screen goes black. The only thing showing is the Search - Mozilla Firefox at the top left. There are nothing else to open or see.

Try starting Firefox in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when double-clicking the icon.
If that helps, try disabling hardware graphics acceleration in case there is a graphics driver incompatibility.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

RDL reports(2008).File name after using Export to Excel is not comming properly in mozilla firefox.

I am using Export to Excel functionality in rdl report.
File name should be "Profitabilty By Buyer". It is working as expected in IE and chrome.
But in mozilla firefox the file name appears as "Profitabilty".
So the issue is it doesnt consider anything after space and user requirement is such that I cant put underscore("_") also instead of space.
Kindly suggest the proper solution.

Reporting Services, we use a Web browser to view the report that deploy to Report Service. However, not all report functionally is supported by all browsers. Such as, the print button is not supported in Mozilla Firefox. It works only in Internet Explorer
due to it uses ActiveX for the print button.
I have tested it on my local environment, (SQL Server Reporting Services 2008, Firefox 28.0), we cannot reproduce this issue. So the issue can be the custom setting of your browser. Since SSRS reports are not about targeting NON-IE browsers, so in your scenario,
we recommend you use IE to view report on Report Manager.
And you said that you cannot put underscore ("_") also instead of space. However we can do this which you can see on the screenshot below.
