I installed my Quadro FX 560 to my MAC PRO, but it can't work normally.
I can't find any drivers of Quadro FX 560 for MAC OS, and I am using MAC OS 10.4.7.
Would you like to give me the Quadro FX 560 driver for MAC OS??
My display card come from my old PC...but not use any more...
So I want to replace GeForce 7300 to Quadro FX560..

You will need to firstly check whether it is compatible with your Mac and operating system, and then get the required software from the manufacturers of the Quadro.

I want to install a second disc drive in my mac pro - which ones?

I have always had all-in-ones. I now have a mac pro, and I love it. I have many disc drives of varying sorts lying around my place, most from older windows towers, but one cd-rw drive from a round base imac. Since I could never do these types of expansion on my old macs, I have no clue what will hook up in my empty drive bay.
This drive from the apple is a... sony cd-r/rw drive unit crx170E/. can I put it in my mac pro's second slot?
If so or if not, can someone briefly explain the types of cd-r connections that would/would not work so i understand the concepts?

Installed a new Deskstar 7k1000 on a Mac Pro but the drive wouldn't mount

Hi Everybody
I have recently purchased a new Mac Pro 8-core 2.8GHz computer from Apple UK, then I also purchased a Deskstar 7K1000 1TB SATAII hard drive from the internet. I tried to install the drive into the computer on Friday nite, soon I switched on the power the drive has started making some 'ticking' noise. Anyway, this is not the main reason why I decided to post a thread.
I have noticed the Deskstar didn't mount or appear on the desktop. I thought I might need to reformat the drive first, so I went to Disk Utility and again the drive did not show on the left navi panel. I had a search on the internet and knew that this drive is compatible with Mac Pro, so why my deskstar drive wouldn't appear/mount on the desktop? Is it something I have missed or done wrong here? Or the drive itself is faulty?
I have already tried to contact the manufacturer (Hitachi) but they only answer half of my question (the noise issue), they never explain or tell me why the drive wouldn't mount, and how to make it appear on the desktop. I seriously need some help here!!!

Just received a replacement hard drive, same model and spec as the previous one, but it works perfectly, so yes the other drive was DOA.

Trying to install final cut 6 on 12 core mac pro but it says my hardware is incorrect

As far as i can see it's fine. Anyone know why this isn't working for me? It just refers me to the readme. Hardware is A.O.k.

It appears to me that you would need a boot device with 10.5.6 already installed, and to NOT be running any Westmere features (such as 6-core processors) to have any hope. Also, drivers for 5770 and 5870 first appeared in 10.6.5, so getting your displays to work may be tough.
Custom 10.6.4 or "Full Retail" 10.6.5 is much more likley to succeed.

Yes, it's possible, but if your Windows system is on a Boot Camp partition then you have to first remove it. Then create however many partitions you want for the operating systems. You have OS X on one, so you need two more - one for Windows and one for Linux. You then install Windows and Linux separately to their respective partitions. Download rEFIt
Use it as the replacement bootloader so you can properly boot from each OS properly.

You should be able to Save as: iWork 08, but i don't know how it works on Mountain Lion. On my Snow Leopard the Save as window has a part looking like this

Sometimes they do work - i've done it before. I have a late 2008 Macbook Uni and used the install dvd of my 2009 Macbook White and it worked.
Why not just clone your hard drive? It'll save you a lot of time doing a clone rather than doing a clean install.
Unless you're having issues with your old set up or your old hard drive is dead.
You can download Carbon Copy Cloner - install your new hard drive in a external usb enclosure (around $10) and clone fromt here then test it before you install it in your Macbook.
Once you've done the swap, you can install your old hard drive in the USB enclosure and use it as a backup drive.

That's what Apple proposes in here Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows
Personally I would double these amounts and add to that the diskspace needed for your Windows games.

Yes, a single serial number can be used to install on two computers and one can be a PC and one a Mac. The download will be a different installer for each platform but the serial number should activate both.
