I want to know how Mozilla FireFox knew all of my bookmarks, etc from my laptop when I installed it for the first time on my desktop.
What sort of tools are you using to track me? How did you know it was me? My iCloud account? My iTunes account?
If your stolen laptop continues to Sync with Mozilla's servers, you might have access to information about some of the browsing activity on that laptop, such as browsing history, new bookmarks, and new saved passwords. However, I suspect that iCloud is a more powerful tracking tool than Firefox Sync.
For your security on your new PC, you probably should create a new Firefox profile. One way to do this with minimal transitional pain is the use the Reset feature. This duplicates certain key data from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings.

Do not sync your ''new'' profile with your ''old'' Sync account.
To access your old profile for any purposes, such as to delete any saved passwords or see whether you get any new data, you can switch back and forth using Firefox's Profile Manager. When initiating back-up of my 3GS to icloud for the first time, I repeatedly receive an error message reading:
"iCloud backup failed
There was a problem enabling iCloud backup"
I cannot find a solution to this problem amd no amount of checking and rechecking account settings etc. has made any difference. Does anyone have experience of how to overcome this issue. The iCloud back-up initiated on my iPad without any problem so I do not think the problem is account related.

I just upgraded my 3GS to iOS5 and signed into iCloud using my Apple ID...
Every time I click "Back Up Now" in the iCloud preferences on the iPhone, I get "There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later."
On my wife's iPhone 4, I just performed a back up and there were no errors. I tried this also on my wife's iPad 2 and it worked perfectly.
I have tried the following:
1. In iTunes, when my phone is connected, I selected "Back up to iCloud" on the summary tab
2. Reset my phone using the steps in the above post
3. Deleted the iCloud account on my iPhone and logged in again
4. Tried to backup from 3 different wireless networks
None of the steps above fixed the issue which has been going on all day for me...

Yea, I did a backup via Photoshop as well as ZipCloud.
I cannot seem to be able to retrieve them on Photoshop for some strange reason.
Am now checking ZipCloud to try to retrieve.

Opened Firefox this morning and it was like I had just installed it for the first time
What is going on with Firefox. Everything was fine last night. This morning I opened it to check the weather and what opened was a new Firefox asking me if I wanted to make it my default browser. All my bookmarks were there. All the add-ons were there but none of them worked and. I installed Personnas and it worked and then I closed it down. Now I went to open it and it won't open so I'm writing you in Google Chrome. I have loved Firefox but I think it's getting like Internet Explorer. Nothing but problems and doesn't want to work half the time. How very sad.
This may be a problem with preference that aren't saved properly.

How to disable the EULA when launching reader 11 for the first time
I am using the install wizard for reader 11. I have created the mst file. when I install reader I also use a patch (msp) file .
In my mst I have following settings in the Property table of the Direct Editor:
AgreetoLicense is set to yes
EULAAccept is set to yes
when I launch reader the license agreement pops up and I have to accept. how do bypass that Eula?I recommend the Acroba & Reader Enterprise Deployment Forum to reach the appropriate experts.

After downloading it, which can be like watching grass grow, it should take about 20-30 minutes. However, if it's a new computer, why would you installing it?

When syncing my iPad for the first time to my iTunes (which was in Australia at one time but no longer) my iPad defaulted to the Australian format for phone numbers and each contact listed was now an Australian address. My iTunes is set to the USA. How/Where do I change the setting? It also changes the default to Australia on each of my iTouches and iPhones.

It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -
I have an old ipod (it's the very thin oblong one in purple, the one before the one that does video) and want to know how to get everything off it and into my iTunes library. My old computer died and the original library was lost, so don't have any of the content saved anywhere else. I now have an iPhone 5S and listen to music on that, so want to be able to listen to things from the old ipod too.

My carrier has an app that I can check current usage and past usage with a previous bill and pay the bill. -

You can restore a backup of the old device to a new one. This will erase everything on the new one before restoring, so this may be an issue if you already have data on the new device.
To do a backup of the old device, iTunes is the safest route, in my opinion. Many users have lost photos when performing a restore from an icloud backup.
An icloud backup does not include everything. For example,only photos in camera roll are backed up. Also, music is not backed up since you get it back from itunes and (for purchased music) from the itunes store.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your phone. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup. -

Sigh.....really late and I want to go to sleep, but I just purchased some Itunes online for the first time, and I don't know how to download them to my ipod. I've never done it before, and it shouldn't be rocket science, but I can't find anything that tells me where to go to download my songs. It said something about check purchases, but I can't even find that screen. I connected my ipod to the computer, and now it says CONNECTED...EJECT BEFORE DISCONNECTING. My BF set up the acct when he bought my ipod as a gift, and as I bought these songs for a special weekend I have planned I can't ask him how to do it. HELP! For some reason the password I always use is not recognized for my account... and since I can't get anyone from itunes without a proper log-in I'm at the mercy of all of you more versed in tech and itunes than I. Is anyone still up that can help me out?

Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes) -
