I want to know why my App Store is not working, and how to fix it?

I have an Ipod Touch 4th generation.
Recently when i go to download an app it wont load and I will get a message saying that it can't conncet with the app store. I have tried turning my ipod on and off, and turning the wifi on and off but nothing is working. I don't know if it's just apple or if it is my ipod. Could someone please help because I really dont want to drive for an hour to get to an apple store.

It could be an Apple problem since other users have been reporting the same problem today.

my home screen button is not working why is this and how can i fix it

Here's a tip I read some months ago that is simple and effective:
Open a stock iOS app (Weather, Stocks, Clock, etc.). Once the app is open, press your iPhone’s power button until the ‘slide to power off’ screen appears. From that screen, press and hold your Home button until iOS force quits the stock app you have open. You’re done!

App Store Failure / Updates White Screen
Tap Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > Off. Set the date one year ahead. Then try to access the App Store.
It may be a connection issue. Try changing your DNS settings to Google’s open DNS by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi >, tap the blue arrow next to your current Wi-Fi network, and then tap the “DNS” field and enter the DNS servers; 8.8.8.8 (Google’s Public DNS, 8.8.4.4 also alternate).

  • App Store is not working and flicking on Pro

    Hi All,
I am new to this and hoping you can help me.
I launched the App store and this message comes up.
Then when i click continue it starts flickering like mad.
I cannot upgrade anything mac related now that this has happened.
    I hope you can help
    many thanks
    Steve

    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server, so be prepared to restore the previous settings if that happens.
If the issue isn't resolved, select the DNS tab. Write down the DNS server addresses.
Change the addresses to the following:
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply. Test. Any difference?
    Notes:
    1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself.
    2. I’m not advocating Google or anything else as a DNS provider; the server addresses are offerred merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist.

  • My app store is not working why?, my app store is not working why?

    hy
i want to now why i my itunes and app store is not working?and how can i send data from laptop to my iphone4?
one more thing is that why safari cannot download any thing from web?

Not sure what you mean by "not working" so without further information it's difficult to make a suggestion. As a shot in the dark.....
Sign out of your ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store, restart the iPad and sign in again.
Or ....You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

  • I did download Lion and everything is fine, but why in app store still stated DOWNLOAD and not INSTALLED, I already did 3 times and it still in DOWNLOAD label

I did download Lion and everything is fine, but why in app store still stated DOWNLOAD and not INSTALLED, I already did 3 times and it still in DOWNLOAD label

My guess is they changed that to Download for all the people who wanted to or needed to download it again. It's kind of a subset of Installed, now. I don't think it is a great solution, but that is what it is.

  • Why app store is not working without card details

My app store is not working without entering card details , I lost my olf apple id .
    i MADE a new one .

What do you mean by 'not working' ? Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
If you mean that you are being prompted to review your account then you could see if this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without needing to enter credit card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054#24303054
If not then you will either need to enter credit card details (you should be able to delete the card after entering it) or create a new account, and use the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating it.
How did you lose your old account ? If you can't remember its details then try the following :

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • I just updated to the new software and now my app Store is not working It is just a white blank page

I just updated the new software and now my app store will not work I have shut it down and opened up again and nothing just a blank white page ?

    I'm having a similar problem.
New iPad with iOS6 just downloaded.
I cannot purchase any new items from the new Apple Store now!
It keeps asking me to fill in CC details, asking for security number, but stays red when i fill in the 3 numerals and when I click done I get a Time Out message.
    This is not good Apple!!
Looks as if I will have to use my iPad One to purchase from the Apple Store.
