I want to know WHY when I am surfing the net I am getting GARBAGE SPAM CRAP that I don't get on other browsers, ONLY Firefox??????

I want to know WHY I am getting pop ups, spam windows and a host of other crap when I am browsing the internet? I use 2 other browsers and do NOT get the crap I get from Firefox. I am sick and tired of naked ladies and a host of other items that open a new window.

this sounds like a problem possibly caused by malware on your pc. please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

If you are being re-directed to other sites, particularly when searching, this can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:

That's caused by the "Smart zoom" feature of the magic mouse. It's a Double tap with one finger to zoom and repeat to unzoom.
You can turn the feature off if desired in System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click tab

We used to get, when clicking on Mozilla, a simple box (Google) with a space to put the subject you wanted searched. Simple and uncluttered. I went to Mozilla because of this, as Internet Explorer was messy and cluttered. Imagine my dismay when I find Mozilla has gone the same way!!! That one suggests the installer has gotten damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

EDIT AGAIN: Done! I now get a random snapshot name in that spot whenever my system boots. I can post the script if anyone wants it, it's three lines.

Sorry, but what do you may by "why I have a balance"? What "balance" are you referring to? Do you mean that the iTunes Store shows that you now owe them money? If so, did you account for any sales taxes when you calculated that you had sufficient balance on your card to cover the purchases?

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

My Ipad 1 quit working after 2 years. Was never dropped, abused, etc. Just quit the other night. Went to the Apple store, called the support line and they tell me that since the warranty is up I can pay 249.00 for a refurbished Ipad or buy a new one. Not happy at all. I want to know why it quit. The person I talked to at Support says he doesn't know what happened. He says it sounds like my hard drive crashed. ANyone else have this problem? I am so mad.

If the tech you talked to said anything about a "hard drive", he was completely ignorant or misspeaking rather badly. The iPads have no hard drive; the storage is all solid state. You may wish to talk to another technician, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there's one near you, and confirm the diagnosis of a hardware failure.
If you've confirmed that it is indeed a hardware failure, then you can pay the replacement price, find an independent iPad service shop and see if they can do a repair for less, or buy a new iPad. If it were me I would put the money toward a new, or at least newer, iPad rather than pay the replacement charge. You can get some good deals on refurbished iPad 2 and third-generation iPads from the Apple Store, any of which will run the most current versions of iOS, something which the first-gen iPad will not, and would come with a full warranty (which could be extended to two years with AppleCare).
As to why your iPad failed, it's impossible to say with any certainty. The circuitry could have had a tiny flaw that finally failed, or the iPad could have received a static shock, something quite common in many areas in the winter when the air is dry. Sorry it happend to you, but anything can fail.

I'm wanting to drag images from the internet into a folder on my desktop or hard drive. I am used to being able to drag just about any image from any website off the web and into a folder on my old mac, but since I got my laptop, I've noticed I cannot do that. Is it a preference?

 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Spotlight ▹ Privacy
The list of items excluded from Spotlight indexing is shown (it may be empty.) Click the plus (“+”) icon to add an item to the list. Select your boot volume (under DEVICES) and add it to the list. Then remove it from the list by selecting it and clicking the minus (“-“) icon.
Spotlight will rebuild the index. If you try to do a Spotlight search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, a pulsing dot will appear in the icon. When the dot disappears, the indexing is complete.
