Show us the part of your code that actually does the output. If it's a Transformer, you'll need to put in the code that I posted in this forum twice just last week. If it's something else, then, I don't know, you'll need to do something else. But I don't see anything in that link that actually outputs XML.

How to build a Cockpit like this...

Hi there,
I need to create a cockpit that looks like this:
The shapes (arrows) need to look like this (no standard buttons from screen painter).
Additionally, when clicking on an arrow one is supposed to navigate to a certain transaction.

Why not build a dynpro with a custom container and an HTML control? ... then you can make the contents look however you want within this (HTML skills accepted!)... have a look at the SE38 > Environment > Examples > Control Examples for some HTML control code samples.

Well, it's gotta be screen capture software, and iShowU is that. I have switched, however, from iShowU to SCREEN FLOW. I like it much better. Capture and edit ALL INSIDE SCREENFLOW. Very easy and clean. iMovie like.

Hello everybody, I am a graphic designer and I am relatively new to Flash and I would like to animate a background like this 3D simulation that triggers when clicking on any of the buttons below that I want to achieve, Should i use Swift 3D? what kind of action script does the programmer uses to acheive this effec? any insight appreciated.

Are you talking about the flying 3d panels? If so, that can be achieved with just Flash CS4 or CS5. Basic 3d transfomations are pretty easy.
I recommend using TweenMax as your tweening engine. It supports tweening of those basic 3d properties (rotationY, rotationZ, etc.).

However, before you go that route, here are a few tips to make FF4 look like the previous version. 
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar. 
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. 
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there. 
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

Firefox 3.6.17 will be supported for a while yet, but will eventually fall by the wayside.

I want to learn to design using Flash

I have visited many Flash template sites and want to learn
how to create sites like I see there. I have purchased many books
and even some tutorial CDs and DVDs. However, they don't teach how
to do really creative sites. They teach simple boring basics. How
do I learn to make really cool sites that look beyond complex? Are
there books or visual tutorials that are available?

There's a general rule in art and design: You have to learn
the rules before you can break them.
In other words, you need to learn the
boring basics or else you will never be able to design cool,
creative sites. Simple as that. It's like saying you want to learn
how to compose a symphony but don't want to be bothered learning
how to read music or learn music theory.
With Flash, the great thing is, the more of the boring basics
you learn, the more that you'll be tempted to experiment and play
around, and the creativity in you will be unleashed. At the same
time just look at other sites that you like. The more you learn
about Flash, the more you'll be able to figure out how it's done.
You'll then be able to understand the lessons in advanced Flash
training books and tutorials, which will enhance your
skills.

So....How do you apply for affiliation in order to get the links and support to build a site when applications are denied on sites under construction?

Building a website , large , with old iWeb no less; not sure if i'm wasting my time. Not an expert, just have a dream. needed to ask a tech question on links to store if approved. But apparently I cannot build the site, complete with links as it will be under construction and denied approval. What does iTunes require? An up and running, possibly successfull site before approving me to re-do it with their links?

I want to learn Flex in Flash Build 4.7!!!

Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial, or book on learning in Flash Builder 4.7? If one even exsists? All I can find is resources to learn in "Design Mode" which was discontinued in 4.7. I REALLY don't want to have to figure out how to translate the lessons...

Are you refering to an MXML file, or just a straight up XML file? In either case it should be the same. Comments are done with HTML style comment tags, like this:

I have verified and know that this is the case with MXML. In XML I haven't verified it, but unless Flash Builder 4.7 is handling XML in a radically different way than how most applications handle XML, it should work.
Also, here's a shortcut key that you would probably find useful. To comment something out, simply select what you want commented out, and then press CTRL-SHIFT-C and it will automatically comment out the selected section. And if you select a commented out section and press CTRL-SHIFT-C, then it will uncomment out the selected section.

Yes you can! It is a Basic level site but you can build it without Muse. I think you may need to create the site originally with Dreamweaver or Muse (meaning creating the site with Business Catalyst not building the site) but once that is done you can use any software to create the code for the site and upload it via SFTP. Hope that makes sense.

For all the newbies who wants to learn Java

I was a newbie like 4 months ago. i have some skills of OOP in C++ like 2 years back but since then i did'nt took any of programming language courses. I have experience in MSaccess and MYsql. i did my internship Last summer with Tennessee Education Lottery as a Database Analyst. At that time i realized what a Corporate Enviorment looks like. Trust me it was a formal interview and i passed it and they placed me in the IT department to write some scripts for the GUI terminal and at the same time create a Company Security Database. i did completed my project but i had to Learn Mysql. and then i realized Java was getting very popular. alot of people told me in the forums to go Java tutorial but i will not agree to start from the sun tutorial. you can do it only if you have a good or may be medium experience of OOP. it was really tough for me and then this magic guy came on the forum and told me to go on this website if you want to learn Java.

This site is a brilliant site specially the exercise problems and the quizes really attracted me to Java alot and now i came to realize how easy it is to program in Java rather than C++. Java forums have helped me alot in solving those exercise problems (not with the code but with a good explanation) which was very helpful for me. out of my 210 post i guess i have helped 30 people out and the rest of the questions are regarding those exercises. i came to know encapsulation, inheritance and all that stuff. though i am still not very perfect like i am still having trouble with ComparTo thing but it takes more practice. the more you practice the more you learn. so all the newbies if you really want to learn java even if you dont have any experience in OOp this is the site where you need to start. Hope this will definitely help you alot. thanks to all the Senior members navycoder, captain, paulcw, duffy, turingpest and others also who have helped me in the past. without you i would have not achieved the goal of learning java. now my next step is going to be learn GUI programming Swing. looks fun to me. but at the same time i have my final project for this semester to make on ONline Testing program which will have a database, php scripting and html and xml.
