I want to let user input number in equation

i want my user input number in the equation and get result like this
6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 30
how can i do it ?
thanks a lot

I would lean to an HTML widget because it's the only widget that appears to support unstructured user input. However, since HTML widgets can only run full screen, you will want to offer more functionality than merely plugging a number into an equation.

  • What if I want to LET USER CACHE videos streamed using FMS3?

    For my new video website I want the users TO BE ABLE TO CACHE
    but at the same time I want them to have the benefit of jumping

    through streaming IMHO)
    Is it possible in FMS3? any other solution?

    The answer is "HTTP Streaming". In fact you don't need FMS if
    you wish
    to allow users to cache videos. You can use any webserver
    with
    PHP/MySQL. AFAIK, Google Video works just in this way. You
    can find
    some brief description of how HTTP Streaming works for
    example here:
    http://home.openworldpresenter.com/flash/index.php?pid=43
    Sorry, it's not an advertizing, but just a link. Of course,
    you'll
    need to create some special SWF movie (pretty simple though)
    to let
    your viewers to see such videos. Fast navigation is
    guaranteed.

  • Capturing and displaying user input in Crystal Reports

    Hi all,
    Iu2019m creating a crystal report with SAP as data-source and want to capture user input and display it on the report.  I have defined parameters to capture the input and added them to the report header.   I have then created formula fields to capture user input using the JOIN statement to accommodate multiple values.   Everything works well when users enter values for all the parameters, but when they leave some blank I get an error message u201CParameter value is nullu201D.
    Has anyone encountered this type of problem;  Anyone knows how to resolve this?

    Hi
    In parameter window make the Optional prompt to True.  And change make change in your record selection formula like this :
    (not HasValue({?PrjMgr@SELECT Firstname,lastname FROM OHEM}) OR
    ISNULL({?PrjMgr@SELECT Firstname,lastname FROM OHEM}) OR
    ({?PrjMgr@SELECT Firstname,lastname FROM OHEM} = '') OR
    {OHEM.firstName} = {?PrjMgr@SELECT Firstname,lastname FROM OHEM})

  • Problems with getting user input

    Hi All,
    I want to get user input from a command line and i am NOT using a GUI.
    The user can still see their password when they are typing it in.
    Is there anyway to show '******' when they type in their password??
    This is what I have so far..
    public static void getPassword() {
    System.out.print("Enter password-->");
    DataInputStream input = new DataInputStream(System.in);
    try{
    password = input.readLine();
    catch (IOException e){
    System.out.println("ERROR " + e);
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kal.

    Kal,
    I'm pretty sure you're going to need some kind of GUI (either a Java window or an HTML page) to get the desired effect. There might be a way to set the echo character in the command line, but I'm not sure.

         ResultSetMetaData rsmd = rs.getMetaData();
         int numberOfColumns = rsmd.getColumnCount();

    You can seach the net for solutions like this one http://appletvvpn.com/how-to-connect-apple-tv-2-to-vpn/ another idea is to use a PC as the control and fit that with a wireless card and set up a ad hoc wireless network that the Apple TV uses.

  • How do I let user enter a number?

    how do I let user enter a number?Any method or proccess.Plz help.

    On the command line you can use:
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreadReader(System.in));
    String line = in.readLine(); // characters so far
    int number = Integer.parseInt(line);Notify that if the user enters something different from a number an exception in thrown. In that case you should possibly ask him again.
    In swing applications of applets you would do it different.

  • User input determine number of components to be created in GUI

    I am making a small program that keeps track of card game points etc.
    When I start the program it asks for the number of players, rounds, and the player names.
    Then the GUI is supposed to appear with JLabels for all the names and rounds etc. I thought this would be easy, but I can't figure out
    how to create the specific amount of labels and work with them later.
    Do you have any ideas to how this should be done correctly?
    Edited by: Andrefs on Feb 26, 2008 8:18 AM

    int numOfLabels = //user input
    JLabel [] labelArray = new JLabel[numOfLabels];
    for (int i = 0; i < labelArray.length; i++) {
         labelArray[i] = new JLabel();
    }Then work with them like you would any other label.

  • Get user input and find file and read it.....argh

    Ok, so I have to write a program that asks a user for the name of the file they want opened and then it is to read it and then display the max score and the minimum score on the file. also to display the average score on the file. Along with that it is supposed to display how many As, Bs, Cs, Ds, and Fs were on the file IE: a: 1 b: 3 c: 0 d: 4 f: 1. etc.
    Also, the next part is to have the program open the input file and then write all the information to an output file. I was able to do this and have the output file show the peoples names and their score along wtih their grade adn then the whole score average at the end of the output file....
    My question is how do I do the first part by asking the user for the name of file and then for the program to find the file and then display the max, min, average and how many letter grades the class got?

    this is what i have so far and the code before didnt work with JCreator, came up with lots of errors......

  • How to capture user input for customer exit processing?

    I need to calculate the number of working days elapsed in the current fiscal quarter BASED on the USER INPUT on the reporting front.  i.e., say the fiscal quarter started on 1 July 2005 and if the user enters 10 July 2005, I should get the value 8 (Assume that Monday through Friday are all workdays).  If the user enters 12 July 2005, I should get 10.  I have written customer exits and know how to use factory calendar, but <b>THE CHALLENGE</b> is how do I <b>CAPTURE</b> the user input and use it in my exit?  During the varible definition, if I select the check box "Ready for input" then the customer exit is not being processed and unless I check that box I can't get a user entry!  If I look at the import values in the customer exit, I see i_t_var_range with type rrs0_t_var_range.  My strong feeling is that this parameter gets the user input, but I am unable to use it as the customer exit is not being called if I make the user to input the data.  Based on the empirical evidence, I felt that user input and customer exit can not co-exist!!  Please somebody prove me wrong and let me know how can I use the user input to process my "customer-exit" variable.  I would really appreciate any input from the BW community here.

    Hi Sameer,
    Most likely, I'm missing something, but I think that the answer is very simple.
    CASE I_VNAM.
    WHEN 'YOUR_CUSTOMER_EXIT_VAR'.
    IF I_STEP = 2. “ After selecting of input variable
    LOOP AT I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO LOC_VAR_RANGE
    WHERE VNAM = 'USER_INPUT_VAR'.
    CLEAR L_S_RANGE.
    L_S_RANGE-LOW = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW(4).
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
    ENDCASE.
    In this typical user exit coding you have a user entered value in LOC_VAR_RANGE (originally in I_T_VAR_RANGE) and you construct your user exit variable value in E_T_RANGE.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Error while setting Minimum value to  Input Number Spin Box..

    Hai
    I drag and drop a VO and created a table.In that table,i convert a column which contain an InputText field to Input Number Spin Box.At the time of page load ,the table fetches the datas from the DataBase and showing Number values in the SpinBox.After that,When i scroll the table through vertical scrollBar,the table showing *"fetching data"* and Error is throwing as *"The value must be Number"* .. In the VO,this attribute is Number.
    THIS ERROR ONLY OCCURS when i set the Minimum value of spinBox ..The purpose of setting minimum value is that i only want user to select ve value only..How can i restrict the user for selecting only ve values..?(ie,*How can i set minimum value to SpinBox?)*

    Try changing the datatype of your attribute in the EO to be Double instead of Number.

  • Taking user input in a PL/SQL block

    Can someone tell me if it is possible to to take user input from within a PL/SQL loop? I mean I want that for each iteration in the loop, the program first take user input, and then based on that input, it perform specific operations. Then it repeats this process for each subsequent iteration of loop.
    If it is not possible in PL/SQL, is there any other alternative?
    Thanks.

    > I'm afraid I have no idea how to get the server to ask questions of the user,
    especially when it essentially operates in a kind of batch mode.
    Yep. To expand a tad on what Hans mentioned here.
    To accept input, the process needs to be able to read from this input device. Let's make it a keyboard. The PL/SQL process needs to read keyboard input.
    The keyboard is attached to a PC 1000km away in a branch office. The Oracle server process, running on a server in the data centre, executes this PL/SQL code.
    So now this PL/SQL process has to automagically hack its way across the network. It needs to remove the keyboard plug from that client PC. It somehow must get that keyboard rewired, across that 1000km, into the server platform at the data centre. And only then can the Oracle server process running that PL/SQL code read from that keyboard input device and accept user input.
    It is important, when developing in Oracle, to grasp just what client-server is and how it works. And not to confuse something like a SQL*Plus Client Process (submitting PL/SQL code) with the Oracle Server Process (parsing and executing that submitted PL/SQL code).

  • Adobe form not saving user-input data into saved pdf file

    Hi forumers,
    I'm a new abap developer and I'm tasked to create an interactive adobe form that will require the user to input data in the form.
    No data is passed and received from PDF, but PDF has to be u2018Fillableu2019. I am able to fill out the form but when I actually save the form, it will be saved as a blank form again. I've seen the relevance of the  LS_DOCPARAMS-FILLABLE = 'X' on this forum and I have incorporated it in my code. But how should I code the abap program to enable to save the user input as well into the form.

    Not quite yet, I have to say...
    If you check the domain "FPINTERACTIVE", you'll see these values:
                   Print Form
    X     Interactive Form with Additional Usage Rights
    N     Interactive Form Without Additional Usage Rights
    F
    So, you are not providing "additional usage rights" (Adobe Form Credentials), meaning there could be a problem when you want to use those forms in a Production environment.
