I want to download Firefox on a flashdrive so I can then download it to my home computer which is not connected to the internet. When I download Firefox, it won't let me change the path and so tries to download on a public computer, which isn't allowed. The reason I want it on my home computer is because I'm creating web pages and I want to view my html pages using a variety of browsers, including Firefox.
From another computer, go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/, click "Free download" button, click "Save File" button, select your flash drive in "Save as" window. "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" file will be saved in your flash drive.
You just need to insert it in your new computer and double-click on "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" from Windows Explorer and follow instructions.

I'm unclear on what the problem is. Have you installed a system on the new hard drive, and if so, what system? Had you actually installed Mountain Lion previously, or only downloaded it? And what does "it only wants to upgrade" mean? Have you actually got Mountain Lion already installed? (See About This Mac in the Apple menu.)
All Macs that shipped with Lion or newer are capable of internet recovery in situations like this. Just hold down command-R and it should start in recovery mode over the internet if necessary. You can reinstall the system from there. If you had Mountain Lion, I would assume that Mountain Lion would be the system you would get reinstalling that way. -

Hello, Im new to this website. Im having issues with my Macbook. I have the old 2009 model Macbook and it is our schools macbook. The school just upgraded these MacBooks to OSX Mavericks and when i try to open Minecraft it won't let me. It says no jdk installed. I also try to install Java SE runtime but half way through the Software Update it says cant download software because of network problem but I'm connected to the internet and i can browse stuff just fine. Can any one help with my problems. P.S. I don't know the administrator password or stuff like that. And yes we are allowed to play games and stuff on these laptops but only at home not at school so don't tell me i need to focus on school and not games.
Since you updated the operating system, it is probably Minecraft is missing certain files that ware remove or are not longer comparable with the new version of the OSX. what I recommend, is to check is there is an update for Minecraft and install that. If there is not update available, probably the best thing will be reinstalling Minecraft. Hope this will help you.

I have PS 6 and just purchased an iMac and am running OS 10.10.1 (Yosemite). When i try to Save or Save As a file I get the following message: Could not save as "Whatever.psd" because this file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the Get Info command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. Hi, I have a PPC Running OSX 10.5.4 and I want to delete the User "Guest"and "Shared"Folders on my HD, they won't let me change the permissions and I keep getting errors that say the permissions should be 0 and are 501 and having files i can't delete that go on and on ad infinitum... I think it's a virus or a corruption? Can anyone tell me or help me and let me know what I'm dealing with here or wether I'm mistaken and should leave it alone?

Why do you want to delete those? What have you done so far to do that?
I doubt that Mac has a virus. On the other hand, your attempts to deleted those folders may have caused corruption.
Two other comments:
1) Is there a reason that Mac hasn't been updated to OS X 10.5.8?
2) You've been misled by the poor field labeling on this Web site into trying to type your entire post into the "subject" field. In the future, just put a short summary of your post into that field. -

Please help as I am trying to reload new version of Itunes. I have followed all advice I could find in removing apple files and itune files etc...Now when I try to download it asks me if i want to save itunes setup_exe and when i select that option I get a message that says could not be downloaded. - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on anoterh computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.

When I opened the Mac App Store on my White MacBook(2010 model running Lion), it told me I had an update for Angry Birds. I never bought the original Angry Birds for Mac, so I decided I'd buy it because I enjoyed it on the iPad. When I clicked buy, it had my email switched to a russian one and when I tried to buy the app on my account, I got an unknown error (4). I can buy other items on my account, but when I try Angry Birds it always returns the error. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

As you can tell from the title of my post, I don't know much at all about itunes or apple products in general. I am in the market for an ipad2 and would like to download movies from itunes to the ipad2. However, I have been told that even the 64gb ipad2 can only hold a handful of movies. In light thereof, I wanted to know if I download 5 movies to the ipad2 and then delete those 5 movies to make room for other things, will those 5 movies remain in my itunes library so I can upload them at a later time (again) to the ipad2? Or, will I lose the movies forever?
