Simple question, I want to make a reusable control that implements a web service. This control has no visual elements. What is the best way / convention to handle this in a Flex-y way? MXML component, MXML module, ActionScript class?

I want to make a slideshow to view on my television with image's duration ranging from seconds to an hour or more and I want to use my iPhone or iPad mini to control the television through my Apple tv.
I've been unable to locate an app that will do this. The Photos app that comes with the phone or iPad has extremely limited duration controls. PhotoStream seems to load everything from my phone or iPad not allowing me to just load up a set group of images.
iPhoto for iPad is getting some terrible recent reviews. I tried a couple other free apps but they don't use Airplay.
I can do something like this with iPhoto and my MB Air, but it's kind of ugly to have the computer open in order to connect by Airplay to my Apple TV. I've thought the iPad or iPhone would be a lower profile controller.
Am I out of luck?Thanks for your help. Since I'm uninterested in loading all my photos (the only option) into photostream, I won't be able to use the settings in ATV. I guess I'm just stuck with using iPhoto on my MB Air. Thanks again.

Rajib.Isn't that just exactly what transaction CO02 does? CO01 is for creating production orders so what sense does it make to have it display mode only?
Maybe your goal is to stop then end user changing the component assignment that is automatically detected by the system. If so, personally I think a better starting point would be PP configuration or user authorizations rather than looking to change the screen by whatever method. As we don't know what you are trying to achieve it's hard to offer much more advice maybe all you need is to change transaction to CO02 -
Want to make my Ipad 4 into a second monitor
I have an iPad 4 and a macbook pro and I want to connect them and make my ipad a second monitor. I know that I have to download an app but I want to make sure that I get the best/right one.
I also saw that I can connect my ipad to my computer and control my computer from my ipad, so if anyone has experience with either of these things let me know!If you plan on using your iPad as a semi permanent second display when working at your Mac, if you plan to do this for long periods of time, make sure your iPad is plugged into power.
These remote display apps tend to be more of a drain on the iPad's battery. Especially so if the remote display app uses Bluetooth instead of over WiFi.
I like and use an app called Air Display.
For using your iPad as a remote client to run your Mac remotely, there are a few decent apps for thiis, but it depend so what you really want to do.
I wanted remote control of my Mac, locally, so I use a remote app called SplashTop remote.
If you need remote location control of your Mac, also, there are other apps for that like LogMeIn and Team Viewer to name a few. -
I want to make fancy arrows in cs5
I want to make an arrow that starts out wide and narrows to a smaller point. This would be similar to a shooting star effect. I did watch this video on how to make arrows and being able to bend them. MikeArtbrush in CS 5 is not necessary except in certain cases.
You can make a custom arrow head in CS 5 pretty easy and to any shape you wish and the head can be scaleable.
1 There are two ways the create the arrow heads one with filled paths for head and tail and a stroke for he shaft. THis is the way the default arrowheads are made.
The problem here is when you scale the head it scales and changes weight in relation to the shaft in most cases this is desirable
Notice how the arrow head scaled compared to the shaft
2 The other way is strokes for the arrow head and tails and stroke for the shaft.
In this case the arrow remains the same weight in relation to the shaft as the original stroke.
You have to open the packages (right or control click the Illustrator icon to access the packages where you will find this
Open the Arrowheads.ai and follow the instructions but remember what I wrote above
you create a shaft that will be the back most object in that arrow head symbol, once you make the arrow head you make it a symbol and title it say Arrow 40 and place an instance on the canvas I guess you can add a new page or in crease the dimension of the page do not delete any of the preset arrowheads.
BTW I made the arrowhead for number 2 above. -
I want to make all my caller id pics full screen how do i do that? When i download a picture from my phone it makes it full screen then it goes back to the small photo in the upper right hand corner how do i make them stay full screen help please:-)
@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.

Opening ReaderX causes "This program wants to make changes to your computer" warning.
I'm using Windows7.
Previous Adobe Reader versions worked fine on this computer; and when I first updated to Adobe Reader X it seemed to run correctly, until recently. Now everytime I try to open a .pdf file or the Reader X application, the screen goes black briefly and a "User Account Control" warning box pops-up with the message, "This program wants to make changes to your computer."
I have uninstalled Reader X, downloaded new install file from Adobe.com and re-installed the program, but it still does this everytime. I've designated Reader as the default program for .pdf files.
Can anyone tell me what's causing this to happen and/or what I can do to remedy the problem?I am having the same problem!
Ever since I installed the latest update to Adobe Reader 10.1.3 (around the end of March) AR brings up the "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes..." whenever I open the reader. NO OTHER applications do this except those that really need this permission.
I have not changed any UACs and in reading Pat's suggestion on changing the UACs above, I would only want to make changes if they could apply only to the Adobe Reader program.
It seems to me that something in the recent update changed Reader to cause this alert.
I sure would like to get AR to run like it used to.

Requirement : Client want to make stock zero which is appearing in KE5Z transaction. see below "83" qty

After entering above data I am getting following result , just pasting as it is ;

In above , client want to make 83 qty to Zero.
I am not getting how come this posting has been happen.
In a material master the profit center maintained is : DE14010000 , and I check all the inventory posting related to this material in MMBE, but I found that this GL is not being enter in any of the inventory posting , the GL which is getting in inventory posting is : S009430000.
Suppose I will make a stock Zero at inventory level ( MMBE) still it is not making stock zero at KE5Z ( because the GL is different)
Basically I am a MM consultant I need your expertise to solve this issue, how we can make this stock to zero in KE5Z report.

OmKE5Z is a profit center report. So better check for profit center than for GL accounts.
Your problem usually arises when a profit center in material master gets changed while there is stock.
so you received stock to profit center A, then profit center was changed to B, all goods issues will be done from profit center B. You never issue the stock from profit center A, but as well you have an issue with the value in profit center B, because you never received stock into profit center B, you only issued.
Check your material master change history to find when the profit center got changed. Then you may have to change it back to the old profit center, goods issue your stock, then turn it to the new profit center and cancel your goods issue.. -

This can be done using the configuration..
Go to Logistics - General >Business Partner>Vendors>Control>Define Account Groups and Field Selection (Vendor)--> and select the vendor group for which you want this field to be mandatory.
Press details --> in the block "field status", double click Purchasing Plant and again double click Plant level purchasing data, in the second page (down), you can see the confirmation control key, that you have to make as req entry.
If you want the conf control key to be mandatory for all the vendors groups, then you can do this by purchasing organisation level..that config node is just below this settings.

My mom is the administrator of my Mac os x and we want to make her a standard account... How do I do that?
If her account is the only admin one, the OS shouldn't allow it. If it did no-one would be able to install anything or authenticate when required.
If she just wants a standard account for normal day-to-day use, she needs to create a new admin account, then downgrade the original one to Standard.
Of course, if you're just trying to bypass parental controls… well you need her permission to do it! -

I want to make a title, but many of the titles include more than one text sequence, title, subtitle, date, etc....how am i able to just use it one time for the title? like getting rid of the two other texts in that title
I don't know why your exported video showed blank text boxes; it should not have and when I test my title, I don't see anything like that.
If you want to control the timing and hold the main title text, make the title clip into a compound clip (Option-G).
Once you do that it is possible to call up the re-time editor (Command-R) and then hold whatever frame you choose. The length of that hold can be adjusted by dragging.
If you intend to do a lot of this, consider purchasing and learning Motion. Much more control.

I loaded Mac OS X v10.7 Lion yesterday. Everything’s running fine, except for a simple problem. Any time I want to copy a file, JPEG, etc., I am prompted “Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this.” I don’t want this!! Is there a way to unlock “Finder” or rid this process?
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. You can demote it back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

If you were to go to Search Examples>Demonstrations>Process Control>Control Mixer Process, you'll find a VI with several custom controls including a valve. All it is is a boolean with custom images. To make your own, use a drawing program like Paint and make images of your valve in the open and closed state. Place a boolean control on a VI's front panel and choose Edit Control from the Edit menu. Once in the control editor go to customize mode. Choose Import Picture From File from the Edit menu. Right click the boolean control and choose Picture Item to Replace to determine which picture to replace with the one from file (a boolean actually uses 4 pictures but you only need to replace the first two which are the true and false states). Right click again and
choose either Import Picture or Import at Same Size. Repeat for the other boolean state with a different picture. You should save your changes as a .ctl so that you can easily use it again. -
Suddenly I have problems moving files to the trash... get a dialog saying Finder wants to make changes and I must provide the password... Any explanation or ideas how I can get this to stop?

Desktop to Trash Problem: "Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this."
