I want to move everything from one apple id to another

I have an apple id using my gmail account. I have had that since the 1st iphone. Then I got a mobieme account and now icloud. What I want to do is get rid of my gmail and only use my me.com. Is there any way to merge or move accounts? I tried just changing my email address for my apple but that didn't work. help?

What is the original account used for? Was it ever an account with actual email on it? - or was it just for iTunes, and you have the iCloud account for email, calendars, and so on - in that event you don't need to move anything (I was assuming, probably wrongly, that you had synced data on both accounts - if you in fact do, please confirm this).
You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your iCloud email address (which is also an Apple ID) for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

How do I move music from one apple ID to another?

If you want to change your iCloud ID to another existing ID you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data (including the calendar) to the new account.  To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your iPad and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPad.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (Note, this will delete the account from your iPad but not from iCloud.  The account will remain in iCloud if anyone else chooses to remain signed into it an continue to use it.)  Next, set up the new iCloud account using your new ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On.*  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to your new account.
    * If you only want to upload the calendar, only turn Calendar to On; but I'm assuming you will be the owner and want this to be your iCloud account on your iPad with all your data, and then your can share the calendar with others and administrate it.

Can I move music from one apple account to another?

Typically not.  Consider the case where you used an Apple account (call it A1) to purchase songs from iTunes.  Now you are interested in moving your music to account A2.  Well A2 does not own the music - A1 does.  So that's a problem.

  • How to move content from one Apple ID to another?

When I first started with Apple, I shared an Apple ID with my dad because I only had an iPod. Now that I have an iPhone, iPad, and Mac, I need to have my own Apple ID. Is there a way to move everything currently on my phone (music, sms messages, contacts, photos) to my new Apple ID? I have looked in the threads and I know this question has been asked before, but none of the answers really made complete sense to me....so dumb it down a little? Thank you in advance!

See http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2689 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5902 for information on sharing calendars and photos through iCloud.  Contacts are not included in the sharing from one ID to another.

  • What is the best way to move everything from one MacBook Air to another MBA

    I bought a new MacBook Air ( OS 10.6.4, 2.16 GHz, 4GB RAM) = MBA 2. I already have an old MBA (bought late 2009, OS 10.6.0, 1.86 GHz, 2 GB RAM) = MBA 1
Whenever I had to do a clean install of the MBA 1, I was able to successfully restore all the files and the same architecture of the HD by cloning the MBA 1's HD (onto an external drive) before doing the clean install, then sticking the external drive into the USB port and then using Migration Assistant (selecting other drive in the choices).
Another method I can use but haven't tried is by connecting the two MBAs together with an ethernet cable (I have ethernet adapters for the two MBAs) and then using Migration Assistant.
If I use this method, do I have to change anything in Network (in System Preferences) like this person did?
    http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/macbook-air-diary-day-3-migration-assistance/125 3
So the questions I am asking are:-
    1) Which is the better method (faster, more fail-proof, simpler) for migrating?
External drive plugged into the USB port (with clone of the HD of the older MBA on it)
    OR
Networking the two computers with an ethernet cable
    2) If I use the networking method, do I have to change anything in Network?
    3) The MBA 2 had 10.6.4 already installed on it. I have used the MBA 2 a little bit, adding browsers and so on, but there is nothing there I want to keep.
Do I have to do a clean install (sticking the USB flash drive that came with the computer into the MBA 2 and then erasing the disk) before I use the Migration Assistant?
    OR
Can I just delete all the applications and files I have added since I started using the MBA 2, and then just start up Migration Assistant?
    OR
Can I just leave the MBA 2 alone and leave it as is and start Migration Assistant? Will the Migration Assistant write over everything that's currently on the computer? (I don't mind if it does.)
    4) Will it be a problem that the MBA 1 has 10.6.0 on it whereas the MBA 2 has 10.6.4 on it? Do I need to update the MBA 1 to 10.6.4 before I do the migration? (I'd rather not if I can avoid it. However, I plan to use 10.6.4 on the new MBA 2).
    Thanks for any replies.

If the clone is already made, that will be somewhat faster.

Your best bet is to erase the disk, install OSX from the USB stick, then use +Setup Assistant+ when the new Mac restarts. See [Setting up a new Mac from an old one or its backups|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/Setup.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Snow Leopard > Installation and Setup+ forum).

    No.

  • HT201209 Can I move money from one Apple ID to another?

I'm hoping I can somehow transfer my iTunes gift card money!

Only by asking the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of the balance has been spent.

  • Move Files from one document set to another document set using workflow

    Hi All,
    Env : SP 2013 Server - SPD 2013.
I'm trying to make a SPD Workflow that must copy a  files from one Document Set to another Document set in the same library other document library
Does Someone already get success for Copy  files from one Document Set to another Document set?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to move Files from one document set to another document set using workflow.
I recommend to use the custom workflow activity  Copy List Item Extended Activityto
copy files to another document set.
You can do this with codeless SharePoint Designer workflows as long as you can install the
Codeplex Custom SharePoint Designer Workflow Activities.
These activities are also built-in to SPD2013. However, you can only use the custom activities in the SharePoint 2010 Platform.
To install the custom activities, please follow the steps as below:
    Download the solution file form
Useful Sharepoint Designer Custom Workflow Activities
Copy the wps file to the Disk C.
Open the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell.
Run the command: add spsolution c:\ dp.sharepoint.workflow.wsp
Open the Center Administration, click System Setting->Manage Farm Solution-> dp.sharepoint.workflow.wsp->Deploy to one or more Web Application.
Open the SharePoint designer, create SharePoint 2010      Platform workflow, add action from Custom Actions.

  • Hi I have 2 apple id's one which has pulled through everything except my calendars and one which has pulled through just my calendars. How do I move my calendars from one apple id to another?

Hi I have 2 apple id's one which has pulled through everything into icloud except my calendars and one which has pulled through just my calendars. How do I move my calendars from one apple id to another so that I can see everything in icloud with one apple id?

Having read some other posts I think I have answered my question. If I was somehow able to terminate my old (unwanted) account and Apple ID I would no longer be able to access the material I bought with that ID-  so I'm stuck. I have to learn how to manage that situation.
This is unfortunate for Apple consumers. Life is complicated for families these days and this "rule" although it is in place to prevent cheating and fraud makes things unnnecessarily difficult for me and my family as in my niaevity (sic) with the online world I bumbled into this situation. Not everyone is out to rip off Apple - one of the worlds richest corporations- or the entertainers who market their work through iTunes.I would just like to be able to enjoy the entertainment I pay for where and when I like to on whichever computer is available to me. And I'm not terribly computer literate.
It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to speak just once to a real person in the employ of Apple to explain my situation to them.

  • I want to move ebooks from one computer to another.

I want to move ebooks from one computer to another.  Both have Digital Editions installed.  Older one 2.0 ver has books installed.  Newer one has ver 3.0 no books installed.  Both are authorized with the same user id.  Do I have to upload from older machine to cloud first?  How do I do that?  Do I have to manually transfer files?  How do I do that?  Can I get pointed to online directions someplace?

Figured it out.  Copy files to new computer and add to library from digital additions.  duh.  Why was it some much easier to figure out answer once I posted the question?

Don't do that - flag the photo and go to the target event and use the add flagged photo to selected event command to move it intact within iPhoto

  • How do I switch my iphone 4s from one apple id to another apple id?

How can I switch my phone from one Apple ID to another Apple ID and keep all my apps/information?
I want to use the same ID between my ipod and iphone.
    Is this possible?

I'm assuming each device uses its own icloud account and you want them both to use the same account, but not lose data from the device you will do the switch on.  If this is the case you need to copy the data from the "old" account to the other account ....
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc.  Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there.  These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE:  Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account.  It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.
