Be sure your ComPilot is not within range of another device it pairs with.

Pair it for what purpose? If you mean over Bluetooth only certain things are supported for Bluetooth on the iPad.

  • How can I pair an iPad with an android phone via Bluetooth?

How can I pair an iPad with an android phone via Bluetooth? I get the pair message on both, but after acknowledging on both devices the connection fails to establish. I looked around and everything I found had to do with file transfer. I can share access to the internet via Bluetooth and it works with other devices I've tried this with. Thanks.

Sorry.  After re-reading my question I realized that I wasn't clear.  I don't want to transfer files.  I want to use PDANet from my android and connect my iPad for internet access via bluetooth.  I know this is a 2 way transfer of data not very different from transferring files, but I just want to be sure that this is not going to work so I can stop trying as if I'm doing something wrong.  Like I said, I can do this with any other bluetooth capable device/computer I have.  Seems like it's just not working either by design or as a result of some limitation.  I guess 2 way communication with a headset gave me hope that internet access would work.  Thanks!

You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

How do I pair my iPad with my iphone

    For what purpose?
Thee is no file transfer protocol supported between iOs devices so no pairing can happen.
You can share the internet connection from the iPhone by turning on Personal Hotspot, and then searching for the iPhone under Bluetooth Devices on the iPad.

  • HT5824 I want to sync my iPad with my Apple Air.  How do I do that ?

I want to sync my iPad with my Apple Air.  How do I do that?

If you mean using iCloud, go to Settings>iCloud on your iPad (requires iOS 5 or higher), sign in with your Apple ID to create your iCloud account, then turn on the data you want to sync with iCloud.  Then go to System Preferences>iCloud on your MacBook Air (requires OS X 10.7.5 or higher), sign in with the same ID and check the data you want to sync with iCloud.

  • I want to use my iPad with a projector using apple tv. How do I homeshare if the iPad cannot access itunes when away from home?

I want to use my iPad to give presentations using Apple TV. How do I get the two to homeshare so that they "talk" to one another. Instructions say use iTunes but I am getting very confused over why this is necessary when all I want to do is link 2 pieces of equipment without having to use wi-fi.! Wi-fi won't be available at the locations where I have to give presentations. Help!

Thanks Dave. There is still a problem. The iPad will only stream to the projector whilst connected to Wi-fi. The icon disappears from "iPod" on the iPad (the only place it appears, not iTunes as the instructions say) once Wi-fi is disconnected. Only audio will stream, no icon appears in the drop-down menu to show that pictures will go over. The outcome of courrse is that, as it stands, the iPad cannot be used for presntations using Keynote, neither can it be used in a location without Wi-fi, which rather defeats the object of have having bought the equipment in the first place having been assured that with Apple TV it would be possible. Is there anything else I can try? I would add that I have downloaded any available updates to Apple TV. All itmes were bought 3 weeks ago so should be reasonably up to date anyway.

  • I'm not able to pair my iPad with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I was able to do this on my original iPad. I was having a problem on an unrelated matter, and the Apple store replaced it with a new device. Previously, all Bluetooth devices worked fine;

I'm not able to pair my iPad via Bluetooth with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I recently brought my iPad to the Apple Store for an unrelated problem, and they replaced it with a new device. The old device had no problem pairing with any of my Bluetooth devices. I'm only haveing the problem with my new device. I was able to pair it with my Apple wireless keyboard, but not the mini-Boombox. I think I've done everything that I've read in other forum posts: I've toggled the Bluetooth setting on and off; I've reset the iPad a couple times; I've turned off and on the mini-Boombox; I've recharged the mini-Boombox. What am I missing here, and how can I fix this?

  • HT4946 I want to sync my iPad with an older backup, not the old created when I plug mt device in.  Following a problem with my iPad I have lost all my data from a game app and I am trying to retrieve it

Following a problem with my IPad and restoring it, I have lost the data in one of my game Apps ... I can see in ITunes/ pref my iPad back ups and want to try to sync with an older back up to get the data back.  So how can I sync with an oldera back up?

In that same window - the one where you see your backups - click on the box at the bottom that say -Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads form syncing automatically. Then click OK and quit iTunes.
Connect your iPad to the computer and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left side under the devices heading and select - Restore from backup. A window will pop up from which you can select any of the backups that you have for the iPad. Select the backup that you want to restore from and then go agreed and restore the iPad. Sync with iTunes when you are done.
Remember that when you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup to the iPad. You cannot selectively restore content. It is all or none.

  • Can't pair my iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard.

Just purchased the Kensington KeyFolio Pro. After following the directions, my iPad will not pair with the keyboard. I tried other Bluetooth devices with the same result, no pairing. I'm wondering if this is a problem with my iPad and not the devices. Anyone have a similar problem?

First make sure you have the Device on ( Obviously ) second you will want to go
    Settings>Bluetooth
Then find your device on there and click on it to pair it.
It might ask you to type something into the keyboard to activate it. When you type that it should work.
And the smart feature with the Keyfolio is it will not connect to two devices at once. So if you have it paired with another device already than you must make the device it is already paired with forget the Keyfolio. you will go to
    Settings>Bluetooth
Then click the blue arrow and then click Forget This Device.
You should then be able to pair it with your iPad.
Hope this helps, have a nice day :)

  • Want to use an iPAD with my Pismo, is this even possible

    Ok, here come the chuckles...
I have a Pismo set to dual boot in either 9.2.2 or 10.4.1with the aid of firewire which houses OSX basically because I'm still using Photoshop 5.5 which runs faster in 9 than using 9 classic from OSX. I want to do Fingerpainting on a mobile device like an iPOD or iPAD and I am told my processor (400) won't support 10.5. Apple sales just said what did I expect, I was using a 10 year old computer.
Can I upgrade the processor on the Pismo to accomplish this or has my Pismo had it's day. I love it and it has been dual booting and doing just fine now for 2 years.
I do have one more problem... none of my IOMEGA devices, my JAZ and my ZIP will not run from my old system 9 since I made the change over to dual boot and I have a lot of paintings stored on them that I would like to transfer to CDs. I know too many questions in one post but maybe someone, somewhere is as broke as I am and needs to hang on and upgrade the impossible like I do. I'd like to address these issues to those of you who can't just go out and buy a new computer and all new software. My finances are so bad right now, I'm having a hard time paying attention, so please bear with me. Any thoughts?
    sharon

Here's the spec page on your G3 Pismo - http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powerbookg3/stats/powerbook_g3_400fw.html
The max OS on the Pismo is Tiger 10.4.x Even if the Pismo could run Leopard 10.5, it would be slow. Snow Leopard 10.6 requires an Intel processor.

  • Weird/strange idea. I want to sync 3 ipads with a mac, to display a count of things being made.

My church is doing something called Operation Christmas Child. It’s a big service opportunity where anyone can come and pack a shoebox full of toys to be sent around the world for poor kids to get toys at Christmas. My church is doing a big shoebox packing party, where we are hoping to have about a thousand shoeboxes and tons of toys/school supplies/games/etc to fill them with.
I wanted to display the number of shoeboxes we have packed on a projector as we go. I’m wondering if there are any apps that would count the number of shoeboxes we make as we go.
Our setup is this: we have a Mac hooked up to a sound system and a big projector in our gym/worship area. It has ProPresenter5 on it which we use to display music lyrics, videos, etc. We are going to have three 50ft long tables in the gym that people will be walking along packing their boxes. At the end of these, we were thinking about having people with iPads to give people the option to donate a $7 fee to pay for shipping for their box(es). We thought about using a credit card app like Square, PayPal, or I was kinda leaning towards Intuit-GoPayment to take these donations. In a perfect world, I would be able to have three iPads, one at each table, that as people paid the fee or finished making their box, the iPad would sync/connect to our Mac, which would count that box, and display the total number of boxes made on the projector. I wouldn’t mind if that meant the person running the iPad (or even a laptop if that would work better?) had to push a button to count that box as they saw it finished, but I really want to have the multiple iPads or laptops to be able to send that information to one spot for a total count, specifically, our Mac that could display the total count.
Are there any apps/programs for the Mac that I could buy/download to make this happen? Is there anything in ProPresenter that anyone knows about that could perform this?
Any other ideas how to make this work?
I tried really hard to make this make sense, but it’s a confusing/strange idea. Please let me know if you have questions about what I’m wanting.
    Much thanks!
    Dan
