my handwriting is so poor that printing would be a great HELP
thanks so much rex thompson.

In Win 7, launch Paint (under Accessories), then after you capture a screen with Alt-PrintScrn, click the Paste icon in Paint (Ctrl-V), then click the Resize icon (Ctrl-W) and adjust the height and width. Then Save As.. to save in png, jpg or gif format.

  • What is the print server username and password?

    I am trying to install a Kodak ESP 5210 printer.
    I set up the printer - it is on my wireless network.
    I installed the Kodak printer software - it too installed correctly.
    At the final step I need to "add printer" I click + in the printer window.
    I then choose the kodakaio directory under "Windows".
    I then choose kodakesp5200_00.
    I am asked for the print server username and password.
    I tried my log in password with just my first name in lowercase as username as this field was filled out by default.
    I tried lots of different things, including no password, but the printer "Add" button never becomes not greyed out.
    Would appreciate help. Kodak were no help.
    I have pinged the printer successfully so its definitely on the network.
    Thanks

    Because nothing is listed in the default printer directory

    I have this brand new PRO 8500 PLUS machine, and everything is working except for the "scan to email" function.
    I did the setup in the web interface, in which I configured my GMAIL account to be the outgoing account in the printer.
    In the end I pressed "save and test" and it reported OK! I used my full GMAIL adress as SMTP username, and my GMAIL password as password.
    However, when I scan a paper and try send it to myself (same adress as confgured as outgoing in printer) it says something like(bad translation...)
     "SMTP server demands approval - check that SAMTP username and password is set"

    Hey Cartman9090,
    Alright i did a little bit of researching and this is what i was able to come up with. There are two separate settings that perform two different actions.
    1. Under settings in the printer EWS you have email servers and individual settings for alerts. The email server settings under setting in the ews allow you to set up the product to send problem and status alerts to anyone through e-mail messages. When this function is configured, alerts are automatically triggered about supplies, paper-path status, and other service and advisory information.
    2. Under scan when configuring the scan to email in the EWS this is for configuring the e-mail address which will appear in the FROM portion of the e-mail message sent by the printer. The device allows you to scan documents and send them to one or more e-mail addresses as attachments—without additional scanning software. You do not need to scan files from your computer and attach them to e-mail messages. In addition to send scanned files as emails the device must use a outgoing email profile configured with an outgoing email account.

  • Single sign-on and different usernames and passwords

    Hello,
    I am building a Portal with WLPS 3.5 and WLS 6.0. I tried to get
    information about the background of single sign-on.
    I understand, that I need a Realm (i.e. LDAP Realm) to authenticate the
    user for the first login to the portal (with username and password).
    Now I would like to integrate my webmail-programm (to get emails from
    Lotus Notes via Internet) as a portlet.
    For my understanding the user has to authorizate to get access to webmail.
    Therefore I create a ACL for webmail and this ACL is assigned to my
    security Realm.
    I would like the portlet to show after login the number of mails for the
    specific user. But where are the username and password for webmail stored
    and how are they received and forwarded?
    I understand that my ACL included all users that have access to webmail
    (i.e. all users). But I only want emails for the specific user.
    Does WLS get all usernames and passwords while the first login? Do I have to
    implement a algorithmen to get the specific username and password for the
    requested resource in my portlet?
    Has anyone solved a similar problem or can tell me where I can get more
    information. I read the WebLogic Security document but I cant find a
    answer to my questions.
    Thanks
    Lydia

    Lydia,
    I'm not an expert in this area, but I can give you a start.
    As for single sign-on, there are different levels. For single sign-on across web-apps,
    the servlet spec requires this (section 12.6 of th 2.3 spec) and therefore Weblogic
    does this.
    What you are talking about is single sign-on across back-end applications through
    a web-app. BEA has partnered with Securant (just acquired by RSA) to provide this
    kind of functionality. Browse to http://www.rsasecurity.com/products/ and look
    at the ClearTrust product. BEA has also partnered with Netegrity (www.netegrity.com)
    with their SiteMinder product. Neither is included in the Weblogic license. I'm
    sure either vendor would be excited to explain how their product will solve your
    problem if you give them a call.
    As for where the username and passwords are stored, that is up to the realm. If
    you are using the default WLPS RDBMSRealm, the username and encrypted password
    are stored in the WLCS_USER table. If you are using LDAPRealm, they are stored
    in your LDAP server.
    Hope this was useful!

    has different usernames and passwords for different applications.
    Can someone explain where the usernames and passwords for a user are
    stored (all in the LDAP-realm or a RDBMS-realm?) When a user access the
    application how username and passwords are mapped? Or usernames and
    passwords for all applications are the same and will be equalized?
    Precisely I would like to get access to a mail-account for a specific

  • Dynamic username and password for UsernameToken in Receiver Soap Adapter.

    Hi All,
    I am using AXIS Frame work for WS Security Authentication in Receiver SOAP channel. I deployed AXIS and used WSDoAllSender handler. I want to set the username and password parameters in the module dynamically. These have to be extracted from the payload.
    kindly give me pointers to dynamically assign Username and Password.
    Regards,
    Saipriya.

    continued from the previous entry
    1.  configure the following four handlers in the request chain
    Handler dc
    Handler xireq
    Handler wssec
    Handler trp
    For the xireq and trp handler, you can use the default setting.
    For the dc and wssec handlers, you use the following setting:
    dc: handler.type =  java:com.sap.aii.axis.xi.XI30DynamicConfigurationHandler
    dc: key.1 = write http://sap.com/xi/axis username
    dc: value.1 = user
    wssec: handler.type = java:org.apache.ws.axis.security.WSDoAllSender
    wssec: action = UsernameToken
    wssec: passwordType = PasswordText
    wssec: passwordCallbackClass = com.sap.aii.axis.security.DefaultPasswordCallbackHandler
    2. Create an external password file with user password pairs. For example, if you have three users: orange, banana, and apple, with their passwords: orange, yellow, red,  you create a file with content:
    orange:orange
    banana:yellow
    apple:red
    You name this file to ".password" and place it at the engine's classloader directory (e.g.,
    /usr/sap/E07/JC90/j2ee/cluster/server0)
    3. Prepare the input message containing the user name in the dynamic configuration header that looks like:
    <ns3:DynamicConfiguration xmlns:ns3="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30">
      <ns3:Record name="username" namespace="http://sap.com/xi/axis">orange</ns3:Record>
    </ns3:DynamicConfiguration>
    The namespace and name must match the value used in the key.1 property of the dc handler. As long as they match, you can use any names.
    In this example, the user name value "orange" will be extracted by the dc handler and inserted into the message context.
    4. Send a test message.
    Best regards, Yza

  • Securing LDAP username and password in Websphere

    Hi all,
    I am new to LDAP and WAS. I want to secure the username and password for my LDAP server. Right now i have two choices for using the username and password for the LDAP
    1. i can put the username and password in a properties file.( but then it makes my application insecure....anybody can read it )
    2. I can put them in a .java file and after compilation it would be converted to the class file.( but in this approach anyone who knows in which file it is residing can use a decompiler to read it)
    I have seen one implementation for DB2 in which they make a datastore in the application server that holds the username and password for the DB2 server. I want to use same kind of facility for my application.
    Can anyone help me with this...?

  • SOAP URL without username and password

    Hello Everyone,
    its a synchronous SOAP - PI -ECC scenario .
    I have created HTTP URL through sender agreement in integration for testing.
    However, customer now wants HTTPS URL without Username and password in  production URL. How do i create this .
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hello,
    However, customer now wants HTTPS URL without Username and password in production URL. How do i create this .
    You can disable basic authentication for the sender SOAP Adapter by following William's reply in this thread
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=236507
    However, the authentication will be disabled for all SOAP Sender, so you should weigh-in the impacts of granting that request.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to encrypt username and password before transmit on client side

    I want to encrypt the username and password at client side when user login to my page first and then send to server.
    Could anybody tell me how to do it?
    Thanks a lot.

    Yup , What suggested is true...
    The HTTPs authentication type is mainly for encrypting..
    This is an extract from the book i have which states how you can do that...
    UNDERSTANDING AUTHENTICATION MECHANISMS
    HTTPS Client authentication :
    HTTPS is HTTP over SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL is a protocol developed by
    Netscape to ensure the privacy of sensitive data transmitted over the Internet. In this
    mechanism, authentication is performed when the SSL connection is established
    between the browser and the server. All the data is transmitted in the encrypted form
    using public-key cryptography, which is handled by the browser and the servlet container
    in a manner that is transparent to the servlet developers. The exam doesnt
    require you to know the details of this mechanism.
    Advantages
    The advantages of HTTPS Client authentication are
     It is the most secure of the four types.
     All the commonly used browsers support it.
    1 Actually, instead of the password, an MD5 digest of the password is sent. Please refer to RFC 1321 for
    more information.
    Disadvantages
    The disadvantages of HTTPS Client authentication are
     It requires a certificate from a certification authority, such as VeriSign.
     It is costly to implement and maintain.

  • How do I connect to an SMTP server that requires a username and password?

    Hi,
    I am currently working on a project for university which requires me to send and receive email. I was until this week able to send mail no problem, but now the SMTP server has been upgraded so that each time a mail is sent it requires the username and password.
    Ideally the connection should be made using TLS/SSL, and not use the Authenticator method. I want to pass the username and password directly if possible.
    I've been trying to use the following but have been getting handshake, and other exceptions:
    SMTPSSLTransport smtpSSLtransport = new SMTPSSLTransport(session,
                        new URLName("smtp", smtpHost, port, null-File,
                        "USERNAME", "PASSWORD"));
            smtpSSLtransport.setStartTLS(true);
            smtpSSLtransport.connect(new Socket(smtpHost, port));
            smtpSSLtransport.sendMessage(smtpMessage,                                                     message.getAllRecipients());
            smtpSSLtransport.close();Can anyone correct this piece of code for me or point me in the right direction of what classes and methods I should be using?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Gordon

    I always wonder what misleads people to do things this way.
    Was there some example you saw that suggested that instantiating
    an SMTPSSLTransport was the correct approach? I hope not.
    See the smtpsend.java demo program for how to use SMTP
    authentication. If you need to use SSL, see the SSLNOTES.txt
    file for hints on using the "smtps" protocol. smtpsend.java also
    illustrates use of SSL, but you'll need to fix a bug in it to use the
    correct property names ("mail.smtps.auth", etc.).

  • How to catch exception while validating the username and password in hbm

    Hi,
    I do want to set the username and password dynamically in hibernate.cfg.xml
    Here below is my configuration file.
    {code<hibernate-configuration>
    <session-factory>
           <property name="hibernate.bytecode.use_reflection_optimizer">false</property>
           <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class">oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</property>
           <property name="hibernate.connection.pool_size">10</property>
           <property name="show_sql">true</property>
           <property name="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.OracleDialect</property>
           <property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</property>
           <property name="current_session_context_class">thread</property>
           <property name="show_sql">true</property>
         </session-factory>
    </hibernate-configuration>{code}
    Also im getting that session factory object like the below code.
    public class Sessions {        private static SessionFactory sessionFactory;      private static Configuration configuration = new Configuration();        static {          try {              String userName = GuigenserviceImpl.userName;              String password = GuigenserviceImpl.password;              String hostName = GuigenserviceImpl.hostName;              String portNo = GuigenserviceImpl.portNo;              String sId = GuigenserviceImpl.sId;                  configuration                      .setProperty("hibernate.connection.username", userName);              configuration                      .setProperty("hibernate.connection.password", password);              configuration.setProperty("hibernate.connection.url",                      "jdbc:oracle:thin:@" + hostName + ":" + portNo + ":" + sId);                try {              configuration.configure("/hibernate.cfg.xml");              sessionFactory = configuration.buildSessionFactory();              GuigenserviceImpl.strAccpted = "true";              }              catch (Exception e) {                    e.printStackTrace();                  GuigenserviceImpl.strAccpted = "false";              }            }          catch (HibernateException hibernateException) {              GuigenserviceImpl.strAccpted = "false";              hibernateException.printStackTrace();          }          catch (Throwable ex) {                GuigenserviceImpl.strAccpted = "false";              ex.printStackTrace();              throw new ExceptionInInitializerError(ex);          }      }          public static SessionFactory getSessionFactory() {          return sessionFactory;      }
    So, in this above scenario, suppose if im giving the wrong password means exception should be caught and the string variable "GuigenserviceImpl.strAccpted" should be assigned to false.
    But im getting the SQL Exception only in console like wrong username and password. And finally i couldn't able to catch the exception in Sessions class, static block.
    Anyone can help me in catching that SQL Exception in my Sessions class and i need to handle that SQL Exception in my class.
    Im getting this following exception message in my console.

    Hi,
    Myself hardcoded that username and password checking like the below code.
    String name = loginData.get("userName").toString();
              String pswd = loginData.get("pswd").toString();
              String hstName = loginData.get("hName").toString();
              String prtNo = loginData.get("portNo").toString();
              String sid = loginData.get("sId").toString();
              SessionFactory sessionFactory = null;
              try {
                   if (name.trim().equals(userName) && pswd.trim().equals(password)
                             && hstName.trim().equals(hostName)
                             && prtNo.trim().equals(portNo) && sid.trim().equals(sId)) {
                        sessionFactory = Sessions.getSessionFactory();
                        strAccpted = "true";
                   } else {
                        strAccpted = "false";
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
                   strAccpted = "false";
              }I have my own values in string objects, then comparing that values with the values from login form. If both values are matching, then i will do configurations in hibernate.
    ResourceBundle resourceBundle = ResourceBundle
                   .getBundle("com.beyon.ezygui.server.Queries");
         public static final String connection_url = resourceBundle
                   .getString("connection.url");
         public static final String userName = resourceBundle.getString("userName");
         public static final String password = resourceBundle.getString("password");
         public static final String hostName = resourceBundle.getString("hostName");
         public static final String portNo = resourceBundle.getString("portNo");
         public static final String sId = resourceBundle.getString("sId");The above are the String objects i'm checking for the match with values from login form.

  • Getting username and password with https connection

    I have a webservice that will authenticate the user to run a http://localhost:8080/soap/services/myService, I would like to call this in a form when a user clicks a button.  So I require HTTP/s authentication on the SOAP service, and this brings up a prompt:
    Connection at http://localhost:8080/soap/services/myService requires authentication:
               Username:
               Password:
    Now on myService, I want to verify the username and password they have entered in that security prompt within my orchestration.  How can I retrieve the username/password from the Acrobat security prompt?
    If I need to clarify, please just let me know.
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Paul,
    That's sort of what I assumed was happening, but I'm not actually wanting to authenticate for the webservice call it seems.  I'm wanting to capture their username/password via acrobat prompt then push it along to the soap service.  So I guess via script I would want to do:
    1. prompt the user for username/password via acro-prompt (not sure how to do this)
    2. capture their input in variables (again not sure from acro-prompt)
    3. set up soap message (I can do)
    4. send data ("")
    5. receive data on LC side and use the user/password to authenticate in a database table I created ("")
    6. modify a field based on authentication allowed/denied ("")
    It doesn't necessarily have to be an actual authentication box, but I just want a username/password prompt so I can get those values.
    Thanks,
    Alex
