I want to put a stylish border around my sign.

How do I put a border around the sign I made? I made it in text, but could do it in any other app as long as it's free. Thanks!

Align is deprecated code.  Better to use CSS classes instead.
.center {text-align:center}
<p class="center"> This is centered</p>

  • How do I put an outline border around a table i.e. without internal borders being displayed?

    Hi
I'd appreciate some help with putting a border around a table
    as I'm sure
I'm not doing this the best way!
I selected my table then chose a thin (size 2) border and
    desired colour.
The problem is this has put a border around every cell in the
    table.
Trying to remove the internal borders has been very
    frustrating!
Just be clear, when I say "remove the internal borders" I
    don't want to
merge cells I just want to stop the borders displaying.
    So...
Is there a quick way to simply put an outline border around
    the table?
What is the best method for removing internal borders?
Having got so used to the ease of formatting tables in MS
    Word this is a bit
    of a hair puller!!
    Thanks for your time.
    Happy New Year!!
    Ian

Don't use the property inspector to add the border - you will
    need to use
    css...

  • I just bought a C4680 all-in-one new in box. It puts an irregular border around "borderless" prints

I just bought a C4680 all-in-one new in box.  It puts an irregular border around "borderless" prints (at least in 8.5 x ll size) --border is about 1 inch on right, 3/4 at top, 3/8 at bottom and 3/16 at left.  How do I eliminate this?
      Using win XP.

In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of.

  • How can I put a colored border around the whole page?

I just want to know how to pur a colored border around the whole page?

    Hi Rachel,
Here's an example. Instructions follow the image:
Start with a new, Blank word processing document.
Insert a rectangle shape (the darker green is the default colour)
Change the colour to your desired border colour, using the Fill Color well in the format bar.
Set the Stroke to none, using the first popup menu on the Format bar. (I missed this step in the example, leaving the black line seen at the rigth edge of the pages.)
Drag the handles to resize to shape to cover the whole page.
Go to the View menu and choose Show Layout to see thae area that text will occupy.
Insert a second rectangle shape on the page.
Set its Fill colour to whatever bckground colour you want in the text area,
    Set the Stroke to none.
Resize the second shape to fit just outside the text area indicated on the Layout.
Select both shapes, then go Arrange > Group.
Go Arrange > Move Object to Background.
Go Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.
    If either of:
Go Arrange > Make Background Objects Selectable
Go Format > Advanced > Make Maste Objects Selectable
    have checkmarks beside them,
Select that item to uncheck it.
The frame will now appear on every page in the section.

    Barry

  • In pages/Pixelmator how do you put a white border around a piece of font, to make it stand out more. Please Help

The Benchwarmers logo, I would like to have a white border around the font to make it stand out. Help please

You would be better served to take a closer look at BeLight's free Art Text 2 Lite, or on YouTube, search for "Pixelmator text effects," or review the several Pixelmator tutorials on their site. Pages does not support the layered text effects necessary to create the Benchwarmers logo, but certainly can incorporate this image once completed through external means.  Is the following image the one you have in mind:

  • Why is Premiere Elements putting a black border around my video?

I am getting by OK with editing my videos in Premiere Elements 3.0 (I know, the shame). However, when I have finished editing, I need to output to a specified frame size to fit a video screen on my web site. All videos that have been edited for me by third parties have been sized at 640x360 pixels. When I use this frame size to render/output my videos, I have a wide black border outside the actual video. The flv file that is being created seems to have had a border added around the actual movie. Here is an example: http://www.incisor.tv/Incisortvarchive.ph p?mid=109
This doesn't happen when I output to a Quicktime, the video fills the frame as it should.
What am I doing wrong, please?

    Hi guys,
Thanks for your responses. I am recording in SD, 16x9 using a Sony HVR-A1P camera. Up until now I have never tried to output to a specific frame size, as I've just been doing general stuff for my own personal use. However, on my web site, I have many, many movies which I have produced (and in some cases filmed), but which have all been edited for me by people that know what they are doing, and mostly in Final Cut. These have all been output to fit the specific video frame size that has been used on my web site, and that is a 640x360. There has never been an issue with black borders.
This movie (again, it's on my home page at www.incisor.tv) was the first time I have done everything myself. The Quicktime version is sized perfectly to the frame on my site, with no border, but the quality is very poor. Premiere Elements seems to be compressing too much, resulting in a poor quality file. Can I side-step the presets to create a less compressed, better quality (if bigger) file? If I can produce a better qualty QT file, this could be one solution to my problem, as many of the movies on my site are QTs.
The Flash file that I have created is great quality and streams beautifully, but has this border issue. Because I have never been worrying about outputing to specific frame sizes previously, I have never gotten into matching source footage with the project's preset. I've just been happy with the movies I have output. Now I have to output to a specific size, where are the parametres set? If I do a 'check properties' inside Premiere on the avi file that has come out of the camera, the image size is apparently 720x576, which is strange, because that is 4:3 rather than 16:9, which is how the movie was filmed.
This is probably quite easy to resolve, and I'll spend some more time looking at it now, but if anybody can help me short cut the process, that would be great.
    Thanks, Vince

  • Black border around an inset clip?

I've done a movie with a little inset clip on the bottom left (comes in after about 5s).
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB7oiBo1v0M
I want to put a black border around the inset clip - as can be seen I've done this (I know I need to remove the drop shadow).
But the vertical border on the left is narrower in width than the horizontal border across the top.
I've seen another movie by someone else where all the borders are the same width.
Just wondering how to do this as I couldn't see relevant controls in the generator's inspector..
I used the Shapes generator, btw. Set to rectangle, no fill, black border.
It's a bit of a fiddly process getting it to fit - is there a better way?

Ah, that's just what I was looking for - thank you!

  • Firefox wont put border around image

    Hi
Ive created a intro page for my new blog
    www.saltalamacchia.co.uk
The problem I am having is that in firefox it isnt putting
the containers border around the image.
All's fine in IE. I can get arount it by putting a footer div
in and making the image its background.
However thats not the way I want to do it.
Any ideas as to how I can correct this for firefox. ie an
image in a container while still maintaining the containers border
    Thanks in advance
    Carlo

Should work: wrap everying (content and footer) inside an
    outer wrapper div
and place a border on that instead.

  • How do I put a property line border around ariel photo of a property?

I'm trying to put a red border around a property in an black and white ariel photo. I can do it with the pencil tool but I want to do it point to point for straight lines?

    Butch, I agree with you.
I prefer to utilize the line tool because it facilitates color selection for the outline, which Hank needs, and also there is a style selection option. In addition, as one uses the tool incremental layers are generated. If needed, one can then make adjustments with the move tool, or delete a layer and replace it with a correction.
Both get the job done - personal preference.

  • Black "border" around project

I just started using Captivate 4 (upgraded from 3).  I am building a new project from scratch.  It is 800x600.  My problem is the black border or line that goes around my project - see below.  I am using a customized skin that does not include this black rectangular border.  I don't know how to get rid of it.  I have changed skins but it doesn't make a difference.  It seems to be more prominent on the right side for some reason too in that there seems to be more of a gap.  The blue border I put around the project is 800x600 so I don't understand why this is showing at all.  It is much more noticeable when I publish as a swf an run it in our LMS.  Can someone help me?  Thanks!

    Thanks for responding.
It turns out it was an unhappy coincidence.  When you preview, Captivate adds this black border around the skin you have already chosen.  Although it does not do that when you preview in a web page.
But then I am placing the Captivate swf file in another product called Datango.  This also put a black border around the Captivate file.  This was the real culprit, but at first it looked it came from Captivate.
    Sorry!

  • Border around my JButtons

Hi,i am trying to put a raisedBevel border around my JButtons. It works fine for four of the five buttons, but as soon as i set it around my fifth button the buttons become greatly reduced in size.Thanx for your time.

have you played at all with the button's margins? You may wish to try to call myButton.setMargins(new Insets(0, 0, 0, 0)); on your JButton and see what happens. Good luck.

  • Want a border around header in spreadsheet

I am totally frustrated. Need to get a border around the title of my spreadsheet. Title has been entered as a header. No matter what I do (and I am totally embarrassed to say I have been at this for hours now!) I cannot get a border around that header. I can put all kinds of borders around any cell in the spreadsheet. . . .which I don't want. . . .but not around that header.
I would be so, so grateful for any help.
    Lee

It ain't pretty, but it'll get you there...
In your spreadsheet document, click on the toolbox to show tools.
Choose the text tool and drag out a text frame. Insert your intended header text. Set the desired font and other text attributes. Center-justify your text (and pad it with a leading and trailing carriage return, if you need more height -- increase or decrease the text size associated with the leading and trailing carriage returns for vertical height/centering). Click outside the text frame, choose the arrow tool, select your frame (you should see its handles) -- adjust the frame to the desired width. Activate the "Pen Formatting" button, then choose the color you desire for your border from the color palette. Set the desired line weight for your border. Now Copy the frame to the clipboard. Position your cursor in the header area and paste. Bob's your uncle.

  • How do I put a border around my title, please?

I have a title page for a short video, edited in Premiere Pro, for YouTube.  I want to put a rectangular frame (border) around that title page.  I want the color of the border  to be the same color as the font in the title.  How do I do this, please?  Below are the three elements from Publisher - background, title and frame.  I want to combine the same elements in Premiere Pro. (I'm not trying to use Publisher in Premiere Pro, I am just trying to make it clearer what I am trying to do.) (I'm a rookie, obviously.)  Thank you.

    OK.
First of all the yellow line started life as a rectangle. I eliminated the fill by unchecking it, and added an inner stroke. To get the same yellow you used, I took a screen capture of your image then added it to my title as a logo. That allowed me to use the eyedropper next to the rectangle to sample your yellow text for the color of the stroke. When the stroke was properly yellow, I deleted the logo (your text).
Then I typed the text and using the eyedropper again, I changed the color to match the outline.
Adding a little bit of shadow makes it look better, by the way. Like this:
These are my settings for the above

  • Is it possible to put a border around a photo, without opening in photoshop

I'm wanting to upload a web gallery. I've imported a load of imagines and want to put a border around them before uploading. I know how to do this in photoshop and will if necessary sort them all out that way and re-create iPhoto events to be uploaded - however there must be a way of producing a border without doing this. Any help much appreciated!

    happy kayaker
Not in iPhoto, there isn't. However, there's no need to recreate the Events to be uploaded if you set PS as an external editor.
You can set Photoshop as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop, and when you make your changes ands save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically.

You would need an image editor to edit the images and add a border to the image first before importing them into Final Cut.
Cheapest and very good image editor?
    PIxelmator.
Located in the Mac App Store. $14.99 USD.
