I want to put Acrobat in full screen mode, and use the pencil to write simultaneously.

I want to put Acrobat in full screen mode for a presentation, and use the pencil to write on the page at the same time. Is there any way both can be used simultaneously?

George is on the money - you'll not be able to use the pencil tool while in full screen.
Something to try:
Use F8 and F9 to hide what is at the top of Acrobat's window.
Have the Pencil tool selected for use first.
You'll be able to use the Pencil tool.
The PDF, with Acrobat's window maximized, will give the appearance of "full screen".
Be well...

  • Full Screen mode and two monitors

    I consider this an oddity in Lion. I have two monitors. If I have Mail open in the left one and let's say Address book on the right one, and I put Mail into full screen mode, the other monitor goes gray. So . . . no way to have one monitor in full screen mode and still use the second monitor!

    This is Apple's warped sense of humor about how full screen should work.  Aparrently the designer only uses tablets so has no clue how the real world works.
    This is totally hated by most  power users but,  alas,  Apple aren't doing anything about fixing this patently broken design,  let alone admitting that they could have made a mistake.
    Your options are to either put up with it or back out to Snow Leopard.

  • Lightroom bugs: full screen mode and import

    I'm considering buying Lightroom, it's quite impressive for a v1.0. But there are some troubling bugs I've run into on my 2nd or 3rd day of use.
    Platform: Vista Ultimate, Lightroom 1.0, P4 2.8ghz, 1.5 GB mem + 2 GB ReadyBoost.
    - Full screen mode is broken? I switched into full screen mode, and then back into normal mode. But now when I minimize the app and alt tab or click back into it, it's back in full screen mode. So I put it back into normal mode, but it goes back to full screen the next time I return to it. Very annoying. It's not just when I minimize it. If I change window focus *at all*, it sets itself to full screen mode.
    - Import from camera doesn't work. When I attached my Canon 20d and selected Import from 20d, it said "Could not find files" or something. I had to import through Canon EOS Viewer.
    Both of these features are a pretty basic part of workflow, so I'm surprised they're broken.

    There are know issues with Vista which isn't supported yet. Also import has some issues to be resolved.
    The read me has some of this noted.

    No no, if you read what I said, it would be that each individual display would be customizable to the user. The way you have it, it sounds like your second display will be dedicated to scrolling through fullscreen apps not allowing you to do it on the home screen. This is silly because with my concept, you could do that, by dragging apps to fullscreen in your second display, but if you want you could tell another display to scroll through fullscreen apps (independently) if you wanted. Each display will have it's own mission control with it's own set of desktops. I also can see how some people would still want them linked together, so this could just be a little check box made in mission control prefs to "link" or "unlink" desktops with link checked by default.
    With your solution you're limited to your setup. but what if the person has three or four displays? Well then your solution would limit them to one dedicated display that scrolls through fullscreen apps where mine lets a person customize their desktops depending on their preference and setup.
    further example: if you have safari, address book and mail in one display, you could still have ichat, PS and Illustrator in your second, and a text editor, FTP Client and iTunes in your third. Then you would mix and match these apps but it would promote the use of mulitple displays as well as benefit people with three or more, which thunderbolt, Cinema Display and Pro computers support.

  • I was using the newest version on OSX 10.7.5 and I was in full screen mode and viewing a photo and it was impossible to exit full screen. This happened at 11:03pm on Friday April 12, 2013. How to fix

    I was using the newest version on OSX 10.7.5 and I was in full screen mode and viewing a photo and it was impossible to exit full screen. This happened at 11:03pm on Friday April 12, 2013. I deleted this from my apps and then deleted iphoto from my purchases in macbook app store the search it the app store and it says it has still been installed. What can I do to fix it?

    Well deleting it from your machine was not the way to go.
    Deleting it from your Purchases List was definitely not the way to go.
    So, I'm not really sure how you're going to reinstall it.
    But figure that out and we can try help. Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They should be able to get it back on your purchases list so you can reinstall it.

  • IPhoto 6 Unable to Zoom in Full Screen Mode when using projector

    When in full screen mode in iPhoto 6 I am able to zoom quite nicely but when I attach a projector I lose the slide for zooming. How do I zoom in full screen mode when using a projector?
    Mac Book   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Given that the zoom works normally, this is not an iPhoto issue. The problem lies in the interaction between your MacBook and the Projector. You might have more luck posting on the MacBook forum

  • I can't exit full screen mode and there are no navigation areas like I used to have.

    I just loaded Foxfire 4.0. I tried out full screen mode and cannot get back to the original mode. Even more annoying is that there doesn't seem to be any way to open new tabs or show the items that I used to keep at the top of my start screen. It's annoying enough to have to learn a new version without having to start from scratch as it were. Why can't new versions let you keep some of the old familiar places from before??? I'm seriously considering trying to go back to my old version. HELP ME!!

    You could go back to the old version but it is relatively easy to make firefox 4 look and behave more like firefox 3.6, although there could be disadvantages in doing that. see [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]]
    Keyboard key '''F11 should toggle full screen on or off''' as before
    Touching the top edge of the screen with the mouse pointer should also display toolbars.
    The menubar and bookmarks toolbar do not display by default in firefox 4, if you are not using a Mac it will display the firefox button. Alt or f10 will temporarilly display the menubar toolbar, even if the firefox button is displayed, from the option
    * '''View -> toolbars -> [x] menu bar [x]bookmarks toolbar'''
    you may set the bars to display permenantly if you wish.
    Another change is the''' tabs on top''' again settable from the view menu or the firefox button. see [[why are tabs on top]]

    The Mac has never needed "Full Screen". It has done multiple screen Extended Desktop since 1987.
    Full screen is an iPhone feature, carried into this verion with the mult-touch gestures and other so-called "unifying" features.

  • Full screen mode AND zoom possible?

    Hi there,
    it seems to me that the full screen mode is only displaying whole pages, which is on a small screen difficult to deal with. Would be nice if the full screen mode would accept the zoom factor (e.g. 200%) which I used for normal view, when going into full screen view.
    Thanks for any hints if I missed something.

    You could use the system zoom feature. Go to system preferences then universal access and make sure the "Zoom:" is clicked to on. Then while in full page mode you can zoom the screen by pressing command option = to zoom in and command option - to zoom out.
    The resolution isn't as good but it is very readable.

    I just tested that since I hardly ever use full screen mode, this was the first time since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and it worked fine for me.
    Try shutting Safari down and see if that changes anything.
    If that doesn't change anything, try shutting down and then rebooting.

  • Full screen mode and the tab key: how to ignore invisible UI elements

    Hi there,
    When Mozilla is in windowed mode, the tab key moves between the page content, which is great. However, when it reaches the end of the page, it then goes to the tab bar, the address bar, the search bar, something I can't figure out, and only then back to the page content.
    When Mozilla is in full screen mode, it does the same thing, even though none of the UI elements (such as the menu bar et al) are actually visible.
    So my question is this: is there a way to disable tab from going to the UI elements when FF is in full screen mode? If not, is there a way to disable this entirely?

    You have to change the cursor focus.
    What I usually do for PDF pages/tabs, is click in the URL/location bar, then F11.<br />
    For Flash, if you click on the page outside of the video area/box, F11 should work.

  • Acrobat XI full screen mode: how to hide the window control frame

    i mainly use Acrobat to prepare full screen presentations and training, and it is annoying not being able to hide the window control
    i previous versions the window control frame was always hidden / please bring this option back

    Thanks, but my ID CS6 is already set to open as a "normal window".  What I'm trying to resolve is the sizing and positioning of that "normal window".
    I found one older post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4609791) from someone who has the same problem, and it looks as if their question was never resolved, either.  I haven't tried the script mentioned in the other message that has a link from that one.  Btw, I've never seen a Window > Application Frame option within InDesign CSx for Microsoft Windows.

  • Want window to open in full screen mode.

    Hi
    I am doing portal navigation on click of a button. The new window presently opens externally but not in full screen mode. Could anyone please help me acheive the functionality.
    If it cannot open in full screen maximized mode. Can I place it in the center of the screen and adjust its size.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    as per below method, you can pass correct values to parameter WINDOW_FEATURES.
    call method lr_port_manager->navigate_absolute
    exporting
    navigation_target = navigation_data-target
    navigation_mode = navigation_data-navigation_mode
    window_features = navigation_data-window_features
    window_name = navigation_data-window_name
    history_mode = navigation_data-history_mode
    target_title = navigation_data-target_title
    context_url = navigation_data-context_url
    post_parameters = ABAP_FALSE
    use_sap_launcher = abap_true
    business_parameters = bus_parameter_list
    launcher_parameters = launcher_parameter_list.
    It has values,
    RESIZABLE-  Windows can be resized
    WIDTH-  Width of the window
    HEIGTH-  Height of the window
    I hope this will help you.
    Thanks,
    Chandra
