I want to release app, but don't want to support iPhone 5 at first?
I have an app developed for iOS 5 and it supports the iPhone 4, 4S, iPod 4g ect, but I want to release it before I support the iPhone 5. I want to do this because when I test the app on the iPhone 5 there is a big white space at the bottom insted of having black spaces at the top and bottom. Does anyon know how I can fix this?
A - Getting rid of the space means supporting iPhone 5.
B - Not supporting iPhone 5 means having the space/letterboxed display.
Which do you want? A or B?

*Yes you can un-sync the Apps from an iPod Touch or iPhone and they will be in iTunes as long as you have copied them into iTunes.
*From here iTunes will inform you when there are updates for those Apps, You can update them in iTunes and then sync this updated App back to an iPod Touch or iPhone.

*They are not deleted from the iPhone if you sync them as in gone forever. But they are un-synced and can be synced back when you are ready for them again.

Good question. I supsect you'll have to find and delete whatever preference file stores the illegal (if that's the correct term) serial number. Then it will ask you to re-enter next launch. So you probably don't have to reinstall the entire app not that it's a big deal. And if you actually purchase a license, well you could probably just keep working but to follow the letter of the law, delete that file (not sure where it resides, depends on the OS), then enter the purchased serial. -

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay. -

Connect the phone to your computer, but do not sync. Make sure iTunes is authorized to the same account that you bought the apps with. Then select "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes File menu. Once this finishes the apps will be on your computer, so you can sync safely.

If the phone is Activation Locked the phone is useless to you. There is no way around Apple's antitheft feature. To check this go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. If it asks for a passcode for an Apple ID that is not yours it is still Activation Locked, and there is a high probability it is stolen.

I've just discovered that with the newest version of iTunes you can no longer delete iPod Touch/iPhone apps you don't want. You used to be able to do so by going onto iTunes on your desktop computer and deleting them. Not Good! I just called tech support and they said that in this version there is no way to delete them. They also said there have been numerous complaints about this. You can't even delete them from your applications folder. It's as though you're being held hostage to apps you tried, but do not want.
While we're on the subject, I don't like the fact the the iPod touch comes with unistalable apps such as: Passbook, Nike & iPod, Newsstand, and Game Center. Don't want them, will never use them. Give customers the option to delete apps that we don't want. Call Apple's corporate customer care. escalation, and complain untill they fix this.Actually,

A client gave me he's mini Ipad wifi as a gift.
It has all his information:photos, music, contacts, etc. I also took some photos that are in camera roll. I would like to erase everithing and make it totaly mine but don't want to loose my photos and his music which is very good. How should I do???Resetting the settings will reset things like the wallpaper to the default. It wont remove the apps or music.
As the previous poster said, the apps and music will be tied to the previous owners Apple ID, you'll need the password to update the apps and remain authorized to play the music.
I would suggest taking your stuff off (the camera pictures) then erasing all content and settings so the iPad is like new. For privacy reasons alone I would erase the device. I realise you want to keep the music, but since you haven't paid for it (it was purchased under someone elses ID) then it isn't yours to keep, you'll need to write down the tracks and purchase them under your ID. -

you can't reverse the process, once you accepted there is no other way, if you sync it to your itunes library in your computer it will automatically update the updated app as well.
What you can try though is delete the app from your iPad and try syncing it to your itunes library but if you set up iCloud it may update the app automatically -

Text messages are included in your iPhone backup. Before switching over to the new phone, back up the old one, then restore this backup to your new phone. My user folder has suddenly disappeared from my hard drive though if I do a find for it it comes up as still being there with all its data. Can drag a duplicate copy from the find window back onto the hard drive but don't want two copies there with one of them hidden. Any suggestions anyone?

If you did then update to iTunes 11.2.1.

Is there anyway to turn off the Group MMS texting? I want to send a mass text but don't want every person to see every other person's response. I am getting ready to have a baby and want to send one text out to friends and family when the baby comes BUT I don't want all of those people to receive the responses. Can I turn it off temporarily?
