I want to remove all itunes stuff and re install them but it tells me error 2203and I can not take it off

I am trying to get a fresh start on the itunes, we have 2 ipods and 2 iphones in the family and somehow all the stuff is in one itunes this, also when I plug in my daughters ipod it does not come up. Is it this laptop? I am trying to add her iphone as a new device but am too dumb to accomplish this , lol. I am not very patient with this but willing to try. I was trying ti remove all the itunes stuff from this laptop and then reinstall it but it keeps telling me an error message 2203. Any suggestions? THANKS

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

aha yes - Lion has changed you harddrive setup and added a "recover partition" Now it gets - not technical - but time consuming.
try:
insert your Snow Leopard installer DVD.
Reboot
Immediately After startup sound, hold down ALT.
You'll be presented with several options. Select your install DVD and continue.
If it doesn't fail:
Once the installer has started, go t the top menu and select "disc utility"
go to the "partition" screen and erase all partitions back to one single partition
return to the installer and install that older OS X version
give to buyer minus the price of a Lion upgrade
If it fails, go to step 1 and boot from your "recovery drive".
once the installer has sarted, go to the top menu and select "disk utility"
erase the drive partition that used to contain OSX Lion - this will remove your private data, all apps and OSX Lion.
Restart, hold own "eject" and remove the DVD, and shut down again.
You'll have to hand it over to the new buyer in this state. Tell him the machine will boot into the Lion installer but he'll have to create an App Store account to download and install OS X Lion. One again, give him a reduced price equal to the price of the Lion upgrade. Way I see it, no other options remain.

The format keeps changing but the basics remain...in the center of the screen are large images of the recent apps which you can close by swiping up and away.

Why does a ringtone sync want to remove all my music and video

I downloaed an app to make a ringtone from my music on my iphone 4
I made the ringtone and got it onto the desktop of my laptop then into the itunes ringtones folder but if i try to then sync it onto the iphone i am prompted that it will remove all the music and video from the iphone.
What setting do i have here that won't allow me to add a ringtone sync without clearing my iphone?
If its not a setting how do i get around it?

Firstly you should be able to easily disable them by right clicking on a empty spot on the toolbars and they should appear in the right click popup menu. Deselecting could be enough, but if you are like me and want to remove them completely:

You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed. So, yes, you'll need a sim card to activate the phone. The sim itself need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. While you can remove it, after the phone is activated, I recommend you don't. If you ever need to restore the phone, or update the iOS, you'll need a sim card installed to do so.
Make sure whoever is furnishing the phone to you, follows the directions here, before you get the phone:
