I want to remove EXIF/IPTC/TIFF data during export from Aperture

I want to strip all sensitive data from the photos when I export them. I've been unable to find anything in Aperture 3 that allows me to do that. Do I have to get a third party program to perform this simple task that this expensive program should be able to perform?

Yes it can do this, pretty simple really.
Export Version/export preset/edit/uncheck "include metadata" checkbox.
Pretty sure you then have a clean file.

Eric,
these applications are applogics which are not controlled by the
iasdeploy tool. Unfortunately, there is no tool available to remove
these applications for you. What you can do is to manually remove all
their entries, but be careful if you do that. If you remove the wrong
keys you might break your ias installation, so be warned and make sure
you backup the whole ias registry before attempting to remove anything.

EXIF: and TIFF: metadata is missing from XMP block in Lightroom 4

I've recently purchased Lightroom 4 and on the whole I'm very happy with it, but I have run into a problem. I have a few scripts which grab information from the XML-based XMP metadata block that's embedded in the DNG and JPG files that I use. I've found that images processed with Lightroom 4 no longer export the exif: and tiff: data.
To illustrate, a photo I exported with a previous version of Lightroom has the following data in the XMP block

There is, of course, a lot more information in the XMP block, but in a file exported using Lightroom 4 there is nothing in the XMP block with the exif: or tiff: namespaces so none of this information is available to any script which queries the XMP metadata. I'm pretty sure that the metadata is still there, embedded in the original EXIF data, as I can view it using the metadata panel in the Library module, but that's not accessible to my scripts as it's not in the XMP block. I've made doubly sure that the metadata has been saved and also double-checked all my settings and even tried to export the files multiple times with every different setting that I can think of (even though my current settings worked fine in previous versions) but the files never get the exif: or tiff: data.
I have called Adobe, but the best help they could give me so far was to post here and hope someone can help!

I just compared two JPEGs exported with LR 3.6 and LR 4.1RC. The tags you mentioned are exported neither by 4.1 nor by 3.6. These tags are only present in the normal Exif metadata, but not in XMP. Which version of LR 3.x did you use before? Perhaps Adobe changed something already in the later versions of LR 3.x. If this is the case, you have to use a script or tool that is able to read the Exif metadata directly.
In the XMP metadata in the file exported by LR 3.6, I see only crs (camera raw), aux (e.g. serial no.) and some other XMP namespaces, but no exif or tiff.
P.S. I viewed the metadata of the exported files with exiftool. File format was JPEG (with "quality" setting, not with "limit file size", because apparently there are still some XMP differences between these two modes).

That will depend on the photometric resolution of your originals. For jpegs it would be a waste of space to convert them to a higher resolution than 8bit, but if your images actually have already more than 8bit, you will want to preserve this quality. Then he 16bit format will help to prevent color clipping.
Both tiff and psd will preserve the lossless workflow. With Photoshop as external editor I would use he psd format for better support of layers and transparency, e.g., when you want to create watermark files.
The dpi will only matter, when you export the file for printing.

You can change the general flow in this fashion: Create/ Change any BP ,Activate the debugging and save it. Put the breakpoint for Method "__OUTBOUND_HANDLER" for class "CL_SMW_MFLOW". Press F8. You debugger should stop here.
You will see the peace of code mentioned below:-
Determine processing depending on debug processing, update processing
or synchronous processing
IF in_updatetask EQ c_false.
    IF NOT ch_header-qname IS INITIAL OR NOT lt_queues IS INITIAL.
    Check for debug mode. In debug mode, don't create qRFC entry
Delete the value of fields "in_updatetask" & "ch_header-qname" , and then press F8 now with this it should stop to your BADI givne the condition that you have breakpoint set for the BADI.

Images stripped from Camera Data after Export from Lr

I've just opened images in jpg format in Ps. The images were exported from Lr and for some reason all the Camera Data is gone...
I went through all the settings in Ps and Lr and didn't find anything...

Hi, this is a similar to an earlier post and here is my reply:
In the Export Dialog Box, under Metadata, make sure that you checked the box for "Write Keywords as Lightroom Hierarchy", in this way all your keywords will be carried over to Photoshop. Conversely, if you do not want your keywords or other metadata to show in Photoshop, then check the box for "Minimize Embedded Metadata". I hope this helps.

How can I use the data pump export from external client?

I am trying to export a bunch of table from a DB but I cant figure out how to do it.
I dont have access to a shell terminal on the server itself, I can only login using TOAD.
I am trying to use TOAD's Data Pump Export utility but I keep getting this error:
ORA-39070: Unable to open the log file.
ORA-39087: directory name D:\TEMP\ is invalid
I dont understand if its because I am setting the parameter file wrong or if the utility is trying to find that directory on the server whereas I am thinking its going to dump it to my local filesystem where that directory exists.
I'd hate to have to use SQL Loader to create ctl files for each and every table...
Here is my parameter file:
DUMPFILE="db_export.dmp"
LOGFILE="exp_db_export.log"
DIRECTORY="D:\temp\"
TABLES=ACCOUNT
CONTENT=ALL
(just trying to test it on one table so far...)

ORA-39087: directory name D:\TEMP\ is invalidDirectory here it should not be physical location, its a logical representation.
For that you have to create a directory from SQL level, like create directory exp_dp..
then you have to use above created directory as DIRECTORY=exp_dp

I have tried on numerous occasions to do this within the account management facility, but every time I get a server error (dinosaurs/treadmills etc!).

I want to remove a friends itunes library and account from my hp netbook

Several ways. Easiest it probably copy whole iTunes folder to a different location. Start iTunes while holding down the option/alt key, select the iTunes Library.itl file in the duplicated folder then delete what you don't want.
Yu can also create a new, blank library using the above method. Export playlist from library 1, restart iTunes with library 2, import playlist.
I don't have iTunes Match. I'm not sure how it will react to a second library.

I want to create an "up to date" installation disk from my own one. So after installing the system shouldn't need to download any update. Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks.

I know how to make an installation disk without things that I won't use and that can be burnt in a single layer DVD. But I want to make one that would be up to date with all the updates that have been released until now included.
Is that possible? How do I download the updates? How do y include them in the DVD? I would be great if I don't have to isntall them manually after installing the macosx.
I think there should be two ways of doing so:
1.- Include the updates in the DVD and execute them after the system installation.
2.- That the installation itself were up to date.

I don't believe it is. TimeCapsule restore would be limited to the same platform it was backed up from?
I think what the OP is after is the idea of slipstreamed DVD including Snow Leopard *&* the latest combo updates. In the Windows world this is referred to as a slipstreamed install.
For example you could have the latest build of SL plus the latest combo update slipstreamed in and this should work flexibly across a number of platforms.
Unfortunately though I don't know if it's possible with OSX. It's a real time-saver in the Windows world though if you have a number of machines to deploy or if you're constantly building/assembling VMs for example.

Inaccurate GPS data when exporting from iPhoto

I'm trying to export geotagged photos from iPhoto, and I'm experience some odd behavior.
1) When I tag the photos outside of iPhoto, the photos' geo information comes up correctly in Places, but when I try to export the photo (either drag to desktop or File > Export > File Export and set +Kind: Current+ ) I get the correct latitude but the longitude is on the other side of the world according to Preview. (My best guess, I'd say about 180° off.) If I export the same photo but set +Kind: JPEG+ the location info in Preview looks fine.
2) I see similar behavior when I try to export a photo I geotag within iPhoto. If I drag-export or File > Export with +Kind: Current+ (as above), the exported file has no geo info, but if I export with +Kind: JPEG+ it's fine.
I'm trying to geotag photos for a friend and then send the pics back to him, but I don't want to re-compress them. Has anyone else encountered this and come up with a workaround?

Seems like iPhoto may not be well suited for working on other people's photos since it requires an import/add followed by an export. iPhoto isn't really build for this sort of thing.
Instead you might try something like Graphic Converter. You can browse your folders (no importing necessary) and Geocode photos by using Google Earth to locate the positions. GC will then apply that current Earth location to any selected photos with a menu item. This writes the data directly to the photos so no need to export either and it doesn't effect the photos in any way by re-compressing or otherwise processing the photos themselves.

How can i load these data to an oracle table in java way?
I thought about using sqlldr. But it requires a oracle client which may not be permitted in my environment.
If i generate "insert " statement and use batch update the batch update will stop if it comes across an exception when executing the insert one by one. I find no "insert ingore" statement in oracle like mysql.
Is there anyone can give me a solution with high performance? It's urgent and Thanks!

You want to turn off transactions? I'm not an Oracle expert, but I'd be shocked if there was something you could do in MySQL that didn't have an analog in Oracle. Find a better resource, like somebody that actually knows Oracle. Who set up that database for you? Consult with them.

Loosing GPS Data after exporting from Lightroom 5

Hello,
When I export my pics from lightroom 5 to import to iphoto,
I loose the GPS data after the import into iphoto.
I like Iphoto because of the icloud, so I don't want to move everything
to LR5.
Is there anyway to save the GPS data or am I doing something wrong?
I am using the latest version of Iphoto.

Not really sure? I exported the pics after editing, but did not mess with the meta data or anything.

No data during upload from CRM

I am uploading activity data 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 to BW.
CRM generates 1 record (transaction rsa6, crm). However, i dont see any record on BW side :

I am guessing you are using a DTP to transfer data into your datastore.
Loading has been split up in a 2-step scenario :
1. First use a classic infopackage to load data up to PSA.
2. After that, you can upload your data from PSA into your SD using DTP.
Another possibility is that you are using a delta DTP and that the request has already been loaded into the DS before. The delta mode for DTP is based on request number, loaded into your PSA.
