I want to remove photoshop cs3 completely.

I downoaded the trial version and I want to remove it completely, but I'm having trouble uninstalling it. I'm using windows XP.
Problems:
I can't uninstall it. I possibly deleted one or more of it's components.
Ran windows installer cleanup Utility and it didn't work.
Wondering if I should just start deleting the photoshop files manually from the c drive.
I've tried the obvious routes:
Start,
Control Panel,
Add or Remove Programs,
Change/remove.
When I click the Change/Remove option, the hour glass loader appears for a few seconds, then the screen flickers for a momonet then nothing happens.
I've tried restoring my computer to an earlier time, but that didn't work.
I've tried looking for other support forums on this adobe website, but I only find solutions for uninstalling from trail to purchased modes...not uninstalling completely.
I've tried calling adobe support and after an 1hr 1/2 of questions, taking down my personal information, and listening to elevator music, they finally tell me that there will be a 39 dollar charge to uninstall the software from my computer.
Can anyone explain to me how to resolve this issue? Appreciate any help I can get!

You seem to have tried all the right things.
Two more things to try:
Re-install the trial over the top and try again to uninstall.
Run the Adobe clean script. http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
If all else fails you will have to manually delete.
Do you have other versions on the computer?

what is the best way to remove photoshop cs3? how do i uninstall a program?
dragging it to trash doesnt remove everything. help!

You should be able to open the Finder, go to Utilities, then go to Adobe Installers. There is an uninstaller in there. It is supposed to uninstall everything. In theory. Adobe actually cautions against trashing the application folders now, according to their readme file.

  • I want to install Photoshop CS3 on my new PC

I want to install Photoshop CS3 on my new PC.  I had it on my old PC.  How do I do it?

It depends partly on what media you have the CS3 file in to be able to install it and partly on the system characteristics of the new PC.  If you do not have disks, then you will need to download the installation file from a site that provides trial version.  It is possible CS3 will not install depending on the system.

  • I want to buy photoshop cs3

halo guys im holding a photot lab i want to purchase adobe photoshop cs3 but now in market only cs6 original is available please guide through peoples im from india tamilnadu chennai

At this late stage, your options are:
Purchase CS6 which is the last product version Adobe sold on perpetual license & is now several versions back from the Creative Cloud version.
    Creative Suite 6
Join Creative Cloud Photography Plan for $10/mo or a prepaid $119/yr (includes PS Extended & Lightroom).

Purchase Photoshop Elements 13 which doesn't contain all the bells & whistles of regular PS but might be just enough for your needs.

  • I can't remove Photoshop CS3

It is available in Windows "Remove programs" for uninstalling, but when i'm clicking "Uninstall" there is nothing happens. Tried the latest clean tool, but it tells "There are no session to delete". Tried also cs3 clean tool, it stop running, when i'm typing "go" to begin uninstall. I found also in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\0d5fe1f44895aadff2baacf24fe1402 file named "Setup.exe", but it won't work too. No errors, just don't work. I can use Photoshop, it works. Using Windows XP SP3.

If it's not listed in your Add or Remove Programs panle, then there is no uninstall info. Simply trash all the foilders.

  • Want to Remove Win 8 Completely

I have the Ideapad N580 laptop that came pre-installed with Win 8 (HATE IT!) and I recently upgraded to 8.1 because it supposedly had some Win 7 features (IT'S WORSE!).  There were many problems after installing 8.1 (finally resolved).  I like the laptop, hate Win 8 and its various forms and I would like to know if my laptop will work well if I remove Win 8/8.1 altogether and install Win 7 Ultimate instead so that I never see, use or hear from any version of Windows 8 again.  Will I run into any problems if I do this?  Thanks.

  • How do I transfer photoshop cs3 from my mac powerbook to my macbook air?

How do I transfer my photoshop cs3 from my mac powerbook to my macbook air?

Download the Trial version to the MacBook Air from
    http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first otherwise the links won't work.
Then launch the Trial and enter your CS3 serial number and you're done.
That'll use up your second (of 2) activation. If you want to remove Photoshop CS3 from the Powerbook then open Photoshop Help > Deactivate then uninstall to free up an activation.

  • Photoshop CS3 improperly removed... Can't be reinstalled

    Ok, so.
I had the BETA of Photoshop CS3 on my computer months ago. It was improperly removed (dragged to the trash), and not I cannot install the Photoshop CS3 Trial. When I go install, it says that it conflicts with Photoshop CS3.
    Can anyone help?

I did exactly what you did and remove the beta version manually over a month ago. It took me over five hours to figure out the following solution. What follows is exactly how I did it, and that part took slightly less then an hour.
    1. You must deactivate (Adobe says any CS3 eg. Bridge application will work) but I was able to reinstall the beta verison and do it with Photoshop. Once that's reinstalled you will get an error message that says you have an expired pass word. I manually changed the date on my computer to April 16, 2007 and much to my surprise I was able to deactivate. Once the deactivation starts you will get a message its working and then its completed.
    2. You then go throught the beta version of uninstall, but thats not all. Photoshop still will not load.
    3. There are a bunch of other programs that Adobe has listed at the bottom almost hidden part of their tech note titled "Manually Remove Photoshop CS3 public beta (MAC OS X)" Only after these programs are also remove will you be able to load CS3.
Finally, for me the beta version was a disaster, for example it really screwed up my abbility to process raw files on any version of Photoshop/

  • Photoshop CS3 Magic Wand bug?

I'm want to use photoshop CS3's magic wand tool to make a selection of a colored shape on my background layer.
However when I click the mouse, the wand selects EVERYTHING on the layer. it doesn't matter what my tolerance level is set to. I've tried cranking it down to 0 and I still get everything selected.
Is this a bug? or am I doing something wrong?

The eye dropper sample size setting will affect how the magic wand operates. CS3 added some new sample sizes. Have you by chance been testing them out? If so, the cure might be as easy as changing your eye dropper sample setting.
Thank you so much for pointing this out.  I was having exactly this same problem and your suggestion fixed things for me immediately.
I've been using Photoshop for maybe nine years now, but obviously that's not quite enough.  I don't know how it is that I've never noticed the relationship between the eye dropper and wand tool before.
I think the wand tool sample size should be independent of the eye dropper tool sample size.  It should be something you can change explicitly from the wand tool's option bar.  Tying those two otherwise completely unrelated tools together in that way is unintuitive.
Anyway, thanks.  I'm just happy to be able to use the wand again.

  • Photoshop CS3 Web Premium compatible with Windows 8.1

I have just received a new Computer with Windows 8.1 and want to install Photoshop CS3 Web Premium on it. Are there any issues with this Operating System and Photoshop CS3 Web Premium?

Are there any issues with this Operating System and Photoshop CS3 Web Premium?
You bet there are. Starting with Win 7 the print engine and certain other parts of Windows have changed and naturally the new security menchanisms may require compatibility modes and a lot of trickery already upon install. It's not impossible, but issues should definitely be expected - some small, some more critical.

  • Deactivating Photoshop CS3

I have just got a new laptop and want to install Photoshop CS3 on it, however it wont letme Activate the product until the copy I have on my old machine is deactivated. The problem is I cant deactivate the old copy as the Deactivate optionis not visible in the help menu, where it should be.
Can someone please tell me how I'm meant to deactivate my old copy?
    Thanks in advance
    David

This activate deactivate crap is making me hate Adobe. I can't use the $800 in software I bought at work because I can't deactivate my old work computer and put it on my new work computer. I use web standard and PS CS3 both at work and at home. 1 install of each piece of software in 2 different locations, home and work, just as the license says I can. I upgraded my home comp's drive to an SATA so I deact and react just as normal. Worked fine. Got a new computer at work, tried deactivating both pieces of software and it won't let me. So now my new work comp can't run the software I shelled out $800 for because I can't get it deactivated on my old work comp.
With the amount of computer changes and drive upgrades I do in a single year it makes it impossible to use their software anymore. Even when I follow the process by the book. I can't deactivate my old work comp for some reason so now I'm screwed. What happens when I upgrade my home comp this summer? Now I won't be able to use either pieces of software at all.
Way to go Adobe. Great way to alienate your customers who have been paying for your software since day one!!

  • Photoshop CS3 Mac: Crashes on startup?

Photoshop CS3 Mac: Crashes on startup?
    Hi all!
I just today installed CS 3 Web Premium on my G5 (Dual 2.7GHz, 2GB RAM, Mac OS 10.4.9, all updates installed). The install seems to succeed, and I've activated the suite, and all the other applications launch without a problem. But Photoshop doesn't. It shows the splash screen and gets as far as "Initializing Suites" when it drops off the face of the earth, and I'm prompted to send a crash report to Adobe (done).
I've tried restarting the Mac, re-installing just Photoshop, and even creating a new Admin user and trying it there, but Photoshop still crashes in the same place. So it's apparently nothing in my user account or just a randomly mucked-up install.
I did a search here for "initializing suites" but nothing came up, and even Google found just one other report of a CS3 crash at exactly that point, so a) it's not common, but b) it's nevertheless not just me. Hmm.
Has anybody seen this? I'm funkified...
    Pres

    Ramón is exaggerating.
First: find the uninstaller in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers and TRY to run it even though you already deleted the application.
If it won't DO anything, go to Macinosh HD/Users/your username/Library/Preferences and delete the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings folder (and its content) PLUS the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Paths file in same location, PLUS the com.adobe.Photoshop.plist file in same location.
    Then try to reinstall again.
If that doesn't work, run the cs3 clean again. Note that it is a script and that it asks you questions that you have to answer to and type in replies to for it to do anything. I fyou donät interact with it it won't do a thing. Note that it might clean out more adobe files than you would wish for.
    There are instructions here
for how to unisntall the public beta of Photoshop CS3 but you might be able to follow those also for a non-beta. There are no instructions for manually removing Photoshop CS3 at the support center as far as I can see (on the other hand it is next to impossible to find anything on the support pages by doing a search.. search for Photoshop CS 3 for Mac and get articles about Illlustrator or CS...).
