Anyways, no it shouldn't be that difficult, open the DVD drawer using the end of a small paper clip by inserting it in the release hole in the front of the drawer.
Insert your first recovery disc or OS installation disc and upon boot up start tapping away at the f9 key. Select to boot from the internal CD/DVD ROM Drive and push enter.
It should be that simple.
Maybe the new drive is faulty, but some times people also have problems with a drive that is not purchased through HP when they use their HP recovery discs.
Buying a drive not bought from HP shouldn't make a difference though.
It will be interesting what the computer store will have to say, they will have a drive to try out to rule out the possibility that your new one may be faulty, it's not unheard of.

use the new router as your primary router with the modem - this will be a factory install from the default configuration - as long as you use same network name password and type a password that you used for the express in bridge mode, you should be able to plug it in and have it work like before. just make sure that you configure everything individually and then power all devices down and repower each one individually starting with the modem then the router in the express and that should work

It seems that you have to choose one or the other, keep iMAcc addresses or iPhone.

Indeed you can merge the address book using iCloud. You can find the info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998. I am not sure if you can de-duplicate though.
If that doesn't work or you want more out of your address book, you can always try connex.io (I work for the company). It's a service that automatically syncs, deduplicates, cleans and updates your address book across many different devices and services. Check the boot priority in the BIOS. Make sure that DVD is not the first boot option. It looks like when you swapped the DVD for the hard drive it won't skip boot from DVD to the primary hard drive and stays on the DVD option but the DVD ROM is not there anymore and it finds the new hard drive. However, the operating system is on the primary hard drive which is a different boot option. It finds the new hard drive but because the OS is not there it says no bootloader because the bootloader is on a different hard drive.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded

ITunes keeps asking if I want to replace app with one I'm moving

Every time I open iTunes (or do anything with my apps) it keeps telling me a newer version of an app already exists in my library and am I sure I want to replace it with the one I'm moving. Only, I don't think I'm moving any apps, and no matter what I choose it keeps asking every time I open iTunes, and goes through at least half my apps every time.
I've tried updating the apps, updating iTunes, but nothing seems to work.

Ok I had this problem earlier due to me attempting to move my iTunes library from one computer to a newer one. If that is what you did before receiving the message then you must go into the iTunes folder on your computer, it should be under music in your computer. After that go to iTunes media and find the Mobile applications folder it should be empty, Open another folder and go to Tunes media then look for the folder titled "Automatically add to Tunes" find the mobile applications folder in their ( Should have a iTunes media folder within that folder and the mobile applications is located in their) The apps in this folder are being continuously re added to your media so simply copy all of the apps here and move it to the first mobile applications folder.
However if you switching to a new computer is not the case then you could always also delete all the apps within the original mobile applications folder like how it is stated in this discussion.

When I drag the Firefox icon to Applications it asks me if I want to replace a more current version of Firefox with this version that I have just downloaded.

I have lost the exact wording of the message but the implication was that there was already a newer version of Firefox in my Applications file and did I want to replace that with the version I had just downloaded. When it keeps bugging me to download a newer version, can it not tell that the newer version already exists on my computer?

That has to do with time stamps of files (Firefox 3.6.18 was released at a later time) and you can ignore that error and install Firefox 5.

I think you should use CardLayout manager.
With CardLayout you can switch beetwen JPanels without removing or adding.

Qosmio F10-100 - I want to replace HDD

My hard drive on this laptop has just died and I want to replace it. The current hard rive capacity is 60GB.5400 rpm.
Can anyone tell me what the maximum capacity hard drive I can refit, and if possible what i should be looking for in a hard drive equivalent should a Toshiba replacement not be readily available.

Seems you will need an IDE 2.5 HDD.
I think you can take an 120GB HDD and such HDD should work properly.
The HDD bay should be placed at the bottom of the unit.
Its secured with an plastic cover and one screw. You have to remove the screw, then the plastic cover and then you should be able to remove the HDD..

TCP Communication - How can I remove the priority of which VI will run first?

Hi. I would appreciate for any advise.
I want to communicate (send data) to another PC using wireless radio. I am presently testing the shipped examples;
TCP Communicator Active.vi and TCP Communicator Passive.vi. I will run first the Passive.vi in the other pc (as
indicated in the instruction) and then Active.vi on this pc.
I want to remove or neglect the priority of which VI will run at first (either of the VI can run first).
If in the case either one of the PC is not transmitting data, it will just trigger a LED or any kind of indicator.
Can anyone helped me to do this? or is there any other example vi that will do it?

i decided to use TCP/IP for peer to peer communication. I made an example VI of what i am doing but i cant make it right especially on the "Time out error". I would appreciate for any advise.
Kindly see the attached VI's. The Crane 1 will be the Master or Server and Crane 2 and 3 are Slaves or Clients. Slaves VI will pass their data to Master while Master will distribute the data to each VI.
As a rule, i have to run the Master or Server first and Slaves will follow.
But as soon as i do this i am getting this Time Out error hence data are not being passed. I tried changing the values of time out constant but not lucky so far. I know that if i can fix this time out error, all the VI can communicate properly. I should see three moving cranes on each VI.
Additional question; If all of the VI are running, and I intentionally Stop for instance Crane 3 (Slave), then it will show an error (LED) that Crane 3 data is not available. So far i can do this.
But for instance I will run again Crane 3 (Slave), is there a way to RESET the connection programatically so that Master VI will once again accept the Crane 3 VI?
Any advise I would greatly appreciate.
