I want to report a browser hijack by one of the "themes", Aerofox. When it updated, it attempted to hijack my search engine preferences with "bing". This theme needs to be removed at once!

The above mentioned theme attempted to hijack my search engine preference by installing "bing" on my system. I was forced to block the attempt, and in doing so caused an exceptional fault failure. I was not able to recover the error #. This forced a "hard" boot of my system in order to get FireFox operational again. I then found that bing had been installed anyway. I take GREAT exception to this, and after uninstalling, cleaning and rebooting I am once again one with FireFox and Google.
I request an immediate removal of the theme Aerofox from the mozilla offerings until such time as the "bing" search engine hijack can be removed from its' update.
I consider ANY program that installs itself without foreknowledge or permission to be a hijack. At least post a warning on the theme.

Issue: Report not displaying data from one of the infoproviders
I have a report 'ReportA' which has multiprovider MP1 as the source.
MP1 has two Infocubes IC1, IC2 in its design.
Now, when i execute the report, data from IC1 is displayed. But no data from IC2 is displayed.
Is there a setting i need to enable in MP1 ? or is there anything else that needs to be enabled ?

Hi All,
When i display data directly from the multi provider, without any restrictions, i cannot view the data from infocube IC2.
I feel its not an issue with the Query. It must be a problem with the setting in the Multiprovider MP1.
Infocube IC2 is a copy of Infocube IC1. Multiprovider MP1 first only had IC1 in its design. It was recently IC2 was also included.
I checked the Characteristics, all of them are assigned corectly.
Now, this issue sure has something to do wiht the setting of Multiprovider or please correct me if wrong.

You can upgrade to Mountain Lion, but you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard first. Buy Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

When I am blurring I am going over the photo several times, when I go to create the preset the adjustment brush is not an option to check. How do I add the adjustment brush to the develop presets. The adjustment brush cannot be added to a develop preset.
If you can replace the adjustment brush with a gradient filter or radial filter, you can add those to a dev preset.
If a gradient filter or radial filter is not an option for you, you can at least create an adjustment preset to remember your brush settings.

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website.
Filter: general.useragent
If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.

Why firefox 3.6 downloads all of the files again after restartarting the browser from a website if the "clear history when Firefox closed" is not Enabled?

We have a corporate website, we officially support FF3, FF4, IE8 and IE9. Our web site is quite big, so we really need browser caching, first time page load is around 15 seconds. With files in the cache getting new page is less than a second.
Everything works perfect except with FF3. With FF4, IE8, IE9 if we are on the website, clicking everywhere is fast, the page is in the cache. If we restart the browser, it is still fast, it loads files from the cache.
But with FF3 we have a problem. Every time we restart the browser, it is loading the files again from the server, instead of using the local cache (checked with Firebug). I can reproduce the problem anytime, it is the same with every FF3 instances. I double checked, the "clear history when Firefox closed" option is not enabled.
Could you advise please how to use the local cache either after browser restart?

Just read that the default memory storage on FF is set to 5 mbs. You can up that by clicking on tools, advanced and overriding the default and set it to 50 mbs (if you use lots of tabs) or 10 mbs (if you use just a few).
I open a blank tab and clear the cache periodically, while I am working. I can have several tabs open and watch videos on Youtube, by doing this. Have you cleared your cache?
Since I have an older computer, I've also used CCleaner for years. I use it often, but always before signing off. You can get it free...search for CCleaner, download from Pirifoam free. I didn't change any of the settings and it clears crap left behind from uninstalling programs, clears all browsers at once of: cookies, history, passwords, etc. I love it!
I had freezing, before using the "open blank tab, clear the cache" thing. Now I have no problems. Plus, as I said...you can change the default memory usage for FF and that should help too.

I have a laptop which I use away from home and would like to download itunes so if i download something on my laptop, i can transfer it to my iPad straight away without having to transfer the music to my main computer. How can i have my library on my laptop itunes like i have on my main computer? is this a possibility?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Hi, I just changed my password for my ipad 4 and my keypad has been messed up for a while. As I was typing in my new passcode it double cliked a number and i dont one which one it clicked twice for as i was typing it in the second time the same thing happened again and was accepted! i locked my ipad and when i can back to it i typed in my passcode and would go in i kept trying and ran out of attempts. It is down to 2 more attempts and then it will be drained. I have alot of informant on the ipad and havent backed it up to any icloud or any other saving things! i really dont want to lose my stuff on the ipad by restoring it and other thing i cant do? I updated to Firefox 4 and ever since it won't open. It says the process is running but no matter how long I wait it won't open the browser and restarting or ending the process and trying again doesn't work either. Is there any way to fix this?

I thought it might be a compatibility issue with Windows Vista but the same problem happened on a computer with Windows 7. I'm not sure if the Windows 7 problem was resolved, though.

You probably have other problems but for a start right click on your task bar and click on Start Task Manager. In "Applications" if Firefox is shown, click on "End Task". In "Processes" if Firefox.exe is shown, click on "End Process" and ignore the warning and click"End Process" again. Wait for a few seconds then start Firefox in the usual way. There is a chance that this may solve your problems.
If not, you probably will need to do a complete uninstall and re-install. If you can't start Firefox you could try starting in Safe Mode - Hold down Shift key as you double click on the Firefox icon>ignore the page that opens>and Continue. If you've been able to open Firefox you could work through this Troubleshooting Procedure -

I thought there was a way in i-movie to get a screen capture (freeze frame / picture) from a video clip. Then the video keeps playing. say a shot of a kid catching a ball. It freezes when he catches it.. then the video continues .. and u can add the camera sound effect so it looks like a real picture.. any help is appreciated.

In the Project, right-click (or Control-click) on the frame and select "Add Freeze Frame" from the pop-up menu. This places a still directly after the frame you've selected. You can change the duration of the still in the Inspector.
In the Events you can also select "Add Still Frame to Project" using the same method. This places a still at the end of your Project which can be moved to any location within the Project.
